Summary: modern!Aemond takes his girlfriend home with him for the semester break over summer. He had already forgotten that he barely got any peace and quiet in his old room.
Wordcount: 1.717
Warnings: tiny smuttish part, but also not really, mentions of an unwanted lap dance, lots and lots of fluff

Present
They heard something rumbling loudly against the door. "Urgh. Fuck. Aemond?" shouted Aegon through the door.
(Y/n) laughed silently and shook an equally smirking Aemond, who was lying on her stomach.

2 months before
Aemond was unusually nervous for his ratio. He had never brought anyone home before. It was unusual. He felt strangely naked, as she paced around his room, looking at the books and posters from his school days.
When a grin appeared on her face, he knew immediately what was coming.
"Aha!" She pulled the CD case from the shelf and held it up triumphantly. "I knew it!",she grinned at him.
He just rolled his eyes and put the My Chemical Romance CD back in its place. "Behave.", was all he said.
Her smile softened. Her arms gently wrapped around his neck and pulled him in for a soft kiss.
"Close the door! Would you?", they heard someone laugh. None other than Aegon stood in the doorway and grinned at them both. "We don't want mummy to think you're promiscuous."
"Wow. That was a difficult word for you.", Aemond replied in a calm voice, but (Y/n) could see the tension in his jaw.
"At least I'm not a twenty-year-old virgin.", Aegon rolled his eyes and walked away again.
(Y/n) scratched his neck reassuringly. "So this is Aegon?"
He grumbled in agreement, annoyed.
"You exaggerated a bit with his hair. I was almost expecting a half bald head.", she turned his mind to another topic, knowing full well that he was largely uncomfortable with the subject of sex.
"You didn't see him after rehab. He was close."
She laughed lightly.

He lay relaxed on the bed. (Y/n) half beneath him. His head lay on her chest and he savoured the delicate fingers, as they ran over his scalp and through his long strands.
Sleeptoken was playing softly in the background, but he focussed more on her heartbeat, which he could now hear so clearly.
His eyes had fallen shut at the caresses, his breathing was calm and deep.
Everything was beautiful. Everything was good. Everything-
"Aemond we - Oh sorry."
Both their gazes shot in the direction of the roughly flung open door. His mum stood in the doorway, a little embarrassed. "We'll order something from the Italian. Please come downstairs... And put a shirt on Aemond!"
He dropped his face into the crook of her neck and groaned in annoyance. "I should have taken a hotel.", he grumbled.
She kissed his temple. "Just locking up is cheaper, I think."

"We don't have to.", she explained quietly.
Aemond shook his head. "I want to try it.", he admitted, still looking nervous. "But only on you for now.", he confessed quickly.
She stroked his hair. "Okay."
"You sure?"
She nodded with a smile.
Aemond cleared his throat. He had come a long way since he was a boy and a teenager, but the memory of that night was still so present.
Aegon had dragged him along to his birthday. He doesn't know what he'd expected, but it hadn't been a stripper.
He and his friends had cheered her on as she danced on Aemonds lap. He had never felt so overwhelmed und uncomfortable. The fact that he had come in his pants less than two minutes later had, of course, taken the mockery to the extreme.
They had bawled and Aemond had simply run away until he could lock himself in the bathroom, where he washed himself three times in a row in an attempt to wash off the shame.
"Hey." He felt her hand on his cheek. He pulled himself from his memory. "It's just me here. No one else." She smiled so warmly at him again. And she was right. The rest of his family was gone tonight, except for Haelena. But she rarely left her bugs voluntarily anyway.
He nodded, but still buried his face briefly on her shoulder. "Can I?," he asked, stroking her waistband with his fingers.
She nodded with a smile.
He carefully slipped his hand under the elasticated fabric and immediately came across the top of her panties. He looked at her questioningly again. She simply nodded. His fingers travelled deeper. He felt light stubble and took in the slightly scratchy feeling beneath his fingertips. He drew a few exploratory circles.
"Does that bother you?", she asked a little hesitantly, but he immediately shook his head.
"Not at all."
He let his fingers wander deeper until he felt what he was looking for. He groped around a little awkwardly and blindly. Searching for what he had already read about. She tenderly pushed her hand towards his. Grasped his fingers and brought them into position. She calmly showed him how to move them. He followed her with concentration.
She sighed slightly and withdrew her hand again. He tried himself out. Experimented. Memorised what caused which reaction.
And he realised, that this was okay. It was even kind of nice. It was-
The door to his room opened again. Helaena poked her head into the room. She didn't pay any attention to the situation of the two of them, frantically trying to present themselves in a more socially acceptable manner.
"Helaena!", shouted Aemond reprovingly.
She looked absolutely neutral in return. "Have you seen my Tarantula? She's run off."
"Your what?", asked (Y/n) immediately in alarm.
"My Tarantula. She-"
"Rethorical question.", explained Aemond immediately. "And no."
"Okay."
The door closed again.
"Please tell me that Tarantula is the name of your cat."
"Don't worry about it. The creature is ancient. It probably just turned to dust."
"Found her!", Heelena shouted from the corridor.
"Great.", Aemond called back, only slightly annoyed.
(Y/n) was still sitting tensely on his bed. "What do you say we-"
"Chinese or Thai?" he asked.
"Chinese."
"I'll just wash my hands and get the car.", he explained and stood up humbly. Would he ever have a quiet evening in this house?
"I love you.", she called after him tensely.
"Love you too.", he called back with a sigh.

They made out violently. She was sitting on his old desk and had her legs wrapped around his hips like a snake.
His centre kept twitching slightly forward. His family was gone, even his sister, and the damn door was locked.
Aemond pressed himself against her even more than he already did. His hands wandered under her top. His lips broke away from hers and travelled to her neck. He was ready. He was sure. He felt comfortable with her. He wanted this.
"To bed?", he asked, slightly out of breath.
She nodded eagerly. "Please.", she sighed. He lifted her from the table and carried her towards the bed. She took off her own top and threw it somewhere. He did the same.
She was already sitting down on the mattress and pushed herself into the middle of it, when Aemond tried to get out of his trousers.
He lay down on top of her. Their lips met. He sighed, when he felt her hands on his bare back.
He was just sliding his hands into the waistband of her trousers when he heard the click of the lock. He frantically threw half of the blanket over (Y/n) to cover her body as his grandfather stood in the doorway.
He looked at them both in astonishment.
"Excuse me.", he nodded briefly to (Y/n). "Otto Hightower. The grandfather." He introduced himself impassively.
"Hello." (Y/n) waved back, overwhelmed.
"You still have my encyclopaedia.", he explained, turning to Aemond.
He looked at him perplexed. "Couldn't you have just called me?"
Otto just raised an eyebrow. "The book, Aemond.", he demanded.
Aemond stood up angrily, took the book from the shelf and pressed it into his grandfather's hand.
"Could we have some privacy now, please?"
Otto just waved him off. "But don't get her pregnant. We don't need any more complaints like your brother's."
He didn't even look at them again. He simply left the house.
Aemond breathed in and out in a controlled manner.
He turned round with a jerk and pulled his trousers back on.
"Aemond, it's all-"
"Get dressed. We're driving."
"Driving? Where?"
"To a hotel.", he explained curtly and held out her top.
(Y/n) looked at him in surprise. "So we're not stopping?", she asked, half teasingly, half cheerfully.
Aemond looked at her insistently. "Not if you don't want to."
She smiled. "Let's go then."

The night was mild. Mild enough that they didn't try to put as much distance between them as possible. Just touching fingers or knuckles.
No. Aemond had snuggled up to her chest and (Y/n) held him in a relaxed grip.
They both lingered in the land of dreams, knowing that the door was locked and the key was still in it.
They had had their peace and quiet all evening. No one had gotten on their nerves. Aemond had snuggled up to her as he usually only did in his own flat. A place where no one could go without his permission. The key in the lock wasn't the highend security system in his flat, but it reassured him enough.
Even in his dreams, he still had the feeling that he had finally triumphed when he was suddenly and rudely torn from this world.
A loud, breaking sound rang out. The sound crashed into the room like a bang.
And with the noise, Aegon smashed in too.
"Oaaa! Fuck!", he exclaimed, annoyed, then he laughed clearly drunk.
Aemond and (Y/n) immediately sat upright in bed. (Y/n) looked perplexed at Aegon.
Aemond looked at the hole in the wall that had once been his door, now lying as splinters of wood on the floor.
"I didn't get the curve.", Aegon laughed, still on the floor. "Sorry little brother."

Present
"Stable.", (Y/n) stated, when she had her laughter under control again.
"Steel core with a security lock. Standard for banks.", explained Aemond relaxed.
He firmly grabbed her hand, which she had withdrawn during her fit of laughter, and put it back on his head.
"Don't stop.", he just sighed and closed his eye again. A slight smile played around his lips.
She kissed the top of his head with a smile and complied.
The Mermaid of Tully
Summary: Benjicot's wife is truly a fish in water.
Wordcount: 421

People jested when he was little and was promised to the Tully girl, that he would one day marry a mermaid.
Benjicot Blackwood had just rolled his eyes and sayed that girls were disgusting.
But he had liked her. They played together and she wasn't disgusted by frogs or worms. She was actually quite interested in these little creatures.
But most of all, she could sneak away. No matter how many guards were set, she found a way. Out of the castle and into the river, where she would swim. Ever since she was a child, noone could get her out of the water. And today, when they were both grown up and married, it was still the same. No matter the weather, she went swimming. Every day.
Benjicot, who had lost his disgust for girls, loved his wife more than anything else. Their friendship had grown over the years and today they were probably the most harmonious couple, that most people knew. Which surprised most people because of Benji's nickname.
Benji was still in the land of dreams, when he was rudely torn from it. He instinctively spat out the much wetter air and turned away. He heard a laugh, as he wiped his wet face from under the covers.
"You little minx.", he grumbled in amusement.
His wife gave him a teasing look.
Her wet hair, which she had wrung out on him, was still in her hand. He shook his head with a grin.
"It's snowing (y/n).", he realised.
"And?", she asked.
He closed his eyes. "Most people would catch their death, if they went swimming in the river in weather like this."
She took off her wet clothes, as she looked at him with a grin. "But I'm the mermaid of Tully."
He smiled. "And I'm really starting to believe it. How can you never get sick doing that?"
She just shrugged, wrapped herself back into her bed clothes and put her hair up roughly.
He looked at her relaxed. He opened his arms expectantly to welcome her into them. She slipped back under the covers and slid towards him.
"By the holy mother! Woman!" he immediately groaned, pulling his thighs away from her icy feet.
She just laughed and curled up slightly. Benjicot immediately grabbed the pair of knitted stockings that lay under his pillow for just such moments and pressed them roughly into her hands.
"You're not normal.", he stated simply.
"You love me.", she simply replied.
He grinned. "I love you.", he agreed.
“You alone are enough. You have nothing to prove to anybody.”

One or Two Books my Ass
Summary: modern!Aegon writes erotic books. (Y/n) finds out and Aegon's self-doubt takes over.
Wordcount: 658
Warnings: mention of a mommy kink (like in the last sentence), no use of (Y/n), no actual smut, just fluff

"No! NO!" Aegon snatched the pages, she had found on his desk from her hand and pressed them to his chest.
She looked at him in bewilderment. "Did you write this?"
"No.", he said sulkily. "That's... from the internet", he babbled and put the thin script in a lockable drawer.
"Ah. And the editor's notes were from the internet too?"
Aegon's face looked stubbornly at the drawer. "Just a hobbie.", he muttered, but his jaw was grinding. He left the room, but she quickly followed him.
"That's really good!", she called after him. "Aegon, I'm serious. You're writing?"
He flopped down on the sofa in the living room. He sighed. "I might have one or two books... published.", he sulked.
She sat down next to him, irritated. "That's actually something most people would be proud of, mouse." She put his legs on her thighs and stroked his calves.
He stubbornly looked at the ceiling. "I write porn. Go on. Make fun of me." he grumbled. "Like everyone else." He mumbled so quietly that she almost didn't hear him.
"You write erotica and it seems you do it very well. It's not an easy genre."
He laughed spitefully. "Sure."
She sighed. Who had told him again, that it wasn't worth anything? His brother? His mum? She continued to stroke his leg. "Tell me. Who put the flea in your ear?"
He closed his eyes in surrender. "My nephew - Luke - found my first script. It was about to be published. I was actually kind of proud." He scratched at the bit of callus on his thumb, as he always did when he got nervous. "He ran into the dining room and read it out loud, laughing. The rare times my father looked at me, he just looked at me dismissively, my mum was ashamed of me and Aemond was almost bursting with glee for my embarrassment. From then on, my nephews only called me Porn-Shakspear."
He curled up and buried his face in the pillows.
"Why are you still doing it if you're so embarrassed?", she asked gently.
"It makes money.", he mumbled.
She laughed. "Your family is rich."
"But it's my money.", he explained sadly. "I'm not a lawyer. I'm not a CEO. I'm not a manager. I'm not smart, but... apparently I can, do that..." He sighed devotedly. "At least I can do that."
She squeezed herself between him and the back of the sofa. She gently pulled him into her arms. He buried his face in her chest. "I really like it. Apart from that, I actually really like reading things like that. Do you have a pen name? Maybe I've read something of yours before.", she smiled and kissed the top of his head.
"A.I.I. Black.", he just mumbled.
"What?", she blurted out?
He looks up at her in confusion. Fear was in his eyes.
"I bloody love your books!", she declared.
He blushed and buried himself against her chest again.
"Do you know, how many times we read you at book club?", she asked with a laugh.
"Stop it.", he whined, wrapping his arms tighter around her waist so she couldn't force him to look at her.
She gave up and started stroking his hair. He was almost purring at that.
"One or two books my ass. Bestsellers Aegon! Several worldwide bestsellers! Wait a minute. How much do you make from that?"
He bit his lip in embarrassment. "Let's just say it's weird being a billionaire heir and a self-made millionaire at the same time."
"You bloody little genius." She tousled his hair. "And your asshole-family probably doesn't even suspect a thing."
"So you're not embarrassed by me?", he asked meekly.
"Of course not.", she mumbled softly into his hair, "But-"
He did look up now. She grinned. "I have a few things I want to try."
He smiled. "Anything you want... Mommy?"
"My good boy.", she praised and kissed him quickly on his forehead.
"Fuck."

Ankle Biter
Summary: The boys get to know (Y/n's) dog. He's not quite like the military dogs they know.
Characters: Ghost, Soap, Rudy, König
Wordcount: 786

Ghost
"What's that?"
"My dog. Pumpkin."
Simon looked irritated at the sceptically blinking dog in front of him.
"That's not a dog.", he said bluntly.
(Y/n) crossed her arms. "Really?"
Simon continued to look at the Chihuahua in front of him. "It'll break if you just look at it."
(Y/n) rolled her eyes.
Simon put his hands on his hips.
"I mean... If anything, I'm surrounded by shepherds... Not... Not by anything like that.", he tried to explain somehow, pointing at the ball of fur that was still scrutinising him insistently.
The doorbell rang, but Pumpkin didn't move an inch. Had Simon fully in his sights.
(Y/n) went to the door and greeted the postman, while her two men engaged in a staring contest.
Simon crossed his arms. Pumpkin stood up.
(Y/n) came back into the room. "Pumpkin come.", she ordered and the little dog followed without hesitation. Simon walked after her too.
"Why such a barker?"
"He doesn't bark. He's well behaved." She opened her parcel and pulled out a colourful, crinkly bag. Pumpkin's tail immediately wagged excitedly, but he stayed put.
(Y/n) took a mat from one of the drawers and sprinkled the contents of the bag into the fine grooves of the mat, placed it on the floor and leisurely tucked everything away in its place.
"And... Go.", she said with a grin. Pumpkin, who had been waiting excitedly, immediately jumped onto the mat and nibbled the treats out of the grooves.
Simon scrutinised the situation closely. "Don't grin like that. These are basic commands."
She just nodded with a grin. "Sure."

"Jump."
"What are you doing?"
Simon flinched, caught off guard. He quickly brought his arms back to his body and stood up. Pumpkin barked discontentedly. The little one was far from finished.
(Y/n) stood grinning in the doorway with her arms crossed and mocked him silently. Simon rolled his eyes, annoyed.
"Nothing," he blurted.
"Mhm.", she nodded. "Pumpkin seems to like 'nothing' though."
Simon looked at the dog wagging its tail excitedly. He sighed and knelt down again. "Crawl.", he pressed out and Pumpkin immediately crawled under his palm, which he held just above the ground.
He felt (Y/n's) hands stroking through his hair. Simon just let him.

Rudy
"And that's-"
"Woof! Woof! WOOF!"
A small ball of fur raced towards Rudy. He flinched out of reflex, quickly sat down on the kitchen stool and held his feet up.
"Nacho off!", (Y/n) ordered emphatically.
The little dog put some distance between himself and Rudy, but was still growling. Rudy looked at the hubris-infested ball of fur.
"Is this going to go on all the time?"
(Y/n) looked at him apologetically. "He's not so good with men.", she confessed.
Rudy carefully put one foot back on the ground. Nacho immediately jumped towards him.
"Hey, off! Off!" Rudy barked and held his foot up again.
"This is going to be a lot of work.", admitted (Y/n).

Soap
He leaned towards (Y/n) and pressed his lips playfully under her earlobe. Even before his lips touched her skin, he heard a growl. He let his eyes snap open and looked into Chef's eyes. The little Chihuahua looked at him menacingly. (Y/n) giggled.
Johnny approached (Y/n) once more and immediately Chef came closer. "Hey, we all want to cuddle with mummy. Come on make yourself- Ah!"

"What did you do to your brow?", asked Simon.
Johnny saw the images of the little Chihuahua in front of him, who had bitten his eyebrow like a pitbull. This creature had never liked him.
"... Dog attack."
Simon just nodded, then faltered. "Doesn't your girl have one of those ankle biters."
"It was another dog!", said Johnny far too quickly and left the room.

König
"Come on Buddy. That was an accident. I didn't see you."
The giant of a man crouched in front of the couch, looking puppy-eyed at the little dog in front of him, who stubbornly ignored him.
(Y/n) hadn't expected it, but Buddy had accepted Klaus immediately. The little Chihuahua loved being carried around by him and being bigger than the rest. Klaus was just insanely big. Unfortunately, he was also so big that he sometimes overlooked Buddy.Like today. He had been walking through the kitchen, still completely sleepy, and had unfortunately kicked Buddy. The little one wasn't hurt, but now thought that Klaus didn't like him any more.
(Y/n) watched the spectacle with a soft heart. The little dog almost whimpered in explanation. Klaus continued to stroke his fur. "I know. I'm sorry." Buddy hesitantly turned round and cuddled up to Klaus' chest. He immediately picked him up and hugged him.
(Y/n) smiled gently. "Can you guys stop being so damn cute?"

Want to be messed up together?
Summary: Some traumas are smaller, but they are still there. Simon learns more about his girlfriend's childhood. They are so different and yet so alike.
Wordcount: 577
Author's note: No this is not based on me. I don't know where you got that from. It's a character on its own and has nothing to do with the author.

"I mean my mum was also the 'stop crying or I'll give you a reason to cry' type, but-"
Simon looked up in surprise. He had heard them both talking on the phone. They seemed familiar. Although she seemed more cautious with her mum. Not drastic, but more diplomatic in nature.
"Did she hit you?", he blurted out immediately.
She shook her head quickly. "No! I mean, there was the odd slap on the back of the head or on the bum, but she didn't hurt me... Although she often took me aside, when I was... well, when I was too annoying. I can only vaguely remember. I remember that it happened, but... well, not exactly what happened." Her eyes looked into the past. Looked at scenes that Simon couldn't see. "She never hurt me."
Simon got all stiff. "You know she still shouldn't have done that."
She nodded again. "No, she shouldn't have." She ran her finger over her coffee-to-go cup and pressed her lips together. "Well, she had a lot of stress back then, was probably in a permanent pre-burn-out, and didn't know how to do it better. She did her best... and failed." She smiled with sad eyes and looked at Simon. "She's trying, so I'm trying to forgive her."
Simon looked into her eyes. Understood her a little more. Her shyness. Her fear of doing something wrong. How nervous she got, when she thought, she was annoying someone. Her desire to get through everyday life as peacefully as possible. Why she never cried in front of him, no matter how obvious it was, why she ran to the bathroom.
He carefully placed a hand on hers. He saw her eyes gleam wetly, but she blinked rapidly and breathed in and out once hard.
"Your father?"
"Oh, he was just there watching his animal documentaries.", she waved him off. "When I was in tenth grade, he took one look at me at dinner once and asked me how much longer I was going to go to school... There was one incident, because I was too annoying again, but that was it. Although he was always strangely proud of the day."
"I'm sure my therapist would have her fun with you.", he mumbled. He hadn't expected the laughter that followed.
"I'm sure she would." She smiled sadly again. "I went to one once", she explained. "When I told her that I was already aware, where all of my problems came from and that I would rather know how to break out of my behavioural patterns, she just said that she couldn't just tell me what to do. 'You need to reflect and make a connection. If you understand, you'll act differently." She rolled her eyes. "I've been waiting a good ten years to find and get a place. Doesn't she think I've ever had the idea to think my life apart like this? And yet I'm still stuck. If yours is more solution-orientated, I'm happy to give it a chance."
Simon had to grin slightly. "No. Sounds just like mine. 'You need to feel your feelings Mr. Riley'. I thought I did.", he mimicked her.
She laughed. "I thought I was the only one who didn't understand. 'I can't tell you how to do it. You just have to know.' Yes, but unfortunately I don't know."
Simon laughed. She looked happier at his face again. "Want to be messed up together?"
Simon smiled and nodded.
It hurts to see couples
It hurts to see couples. It hurts to see hands holding each other. It hurts to see lips kissing. It hurts to be a witness and never a perpetrator.
Never to have felt that kind of look on you, so radiant with happiness. It hurts to have all those memories that showed you that something about you just makes you not even a choice.
It hurts to be alone. I have no one to talk to about these feelings. I have no friends. I have no girls I could call and cry. I was already an outsider among my friends back then. I was just there. I was quickly replaced. I was feeling down and I wanted some distance. I canceled two meetings, because I didn't have the strength. After that, I was just out.
I have a family, but they wouldn't be any use for conversations like that. If I told my mother how I really felt, all I would hear is that I should just look for friends. Great advice from a woman with no friends. A vicious circle in generations. It wouldn’t be about my feelings, but what my mother thought of them.
I feel alone. I long for a loving and tender embrace. I long for someone to say: This little one belongs to me and I love her. I long for sweet lips that press against my skin and strong hands that touch me. I long for small affections. I would probably burst into tears if someone just hugged me.
It hurts to see what you never had.

I know it’s not hard to point out reactionaries hypocrisy when it comes to like safe spaces or hug boxes or whatever but genuinely how much of an echo chamber do you have to exist in for you to think this is a reasonable thing to say
Even if I didn’t have a solid plan, in the back of my head, I always assumed I’d kill myself.
Now I’m an adult and people my age have their lives in order and I’m stuck here, confused, because I never planned to be alive and I’m so far behind.
I feel like I’ll never catch up.

Summary: The boys react to the new short hair of (Y/n).
Characters: Ghost, Soap, Rudy, König
Wordcount: 1.247
Authors note: To all my short haired girlies who just need a little support.

Ghost
"It's short." He looked at me emotionlessly. There was no reaction apart from this sentence.
"So?", I asked rather nervously.
He just shrugged his shoulders. "Cute.", he said. He tousled my now short hair. "Relax."
I pouted. "That was a big step for me, okay?"
He just took me in his arms. "It looks good." He kissed the top of my head and sneezed right after, because of the tickling stubble. Something he deeply hated doing in front of other people. Simon may be a bull of a man, but he had the sneeze of a kitten.
I stifled my giggles.
He just grumbled, "I'll have to get used to that."
I snuggled against his chest. "You really like it?"
He stroked the short hair on the back of my neck. Cuddled me properly. "I like it... now your spider webs of hair aren't flying around everywhere."
I punched him lightly on the chest. "Ass."
"Love you too." He tugged lightly on a strand of hair and smiled with this look in his eyes, that told me he was just remembering one of the few fond memories from his childhood.
"What?", I asked cautiously.
The tips of his ears turned slightly red. "When I was little, a girl in my class had short hair... Maybe I had a bit of a crush on her."
I grinned at him. "There was someone before me?" I groaned in mock shock.
He rolled his eyes. "I was eight!"
I kissed him lightly. "I love you."
He ran his hand over my head. "Love you, too."

Soap
I walked as quickly as I could through the apartment and into the bathroom. Annoyed, I ripped the shower head from its holder and held my head over the bath. The water ran through my cut of strands and I breathed a sigh of relief. I hated the amount of mousse that hairdressers always slammed into my hair.
Like that would change the fact, that I hated the cut. I could feel the tears coming again. I rubbed my hair dry and looked in the mirror, exhausted.
Johnny hesitantly opened the door. "Are you okay?"
I shook my head. I had spent weeks looking for a cut I liked, only to leave the store with "something" on my head.
I pulled up the snot. Johnny gave me a quick hug and ran his fingers through the wet strands. "That's longer than the cut you chose.", he said.
"It's not what I chose at all." I took a deep breath. It was just hair, but the teasing from school still ran deep.
"You give it a quick wash now. Okay?",he mumbled.
I hung my head over the bath and started washing my hair until the sticky feeling was finally gone.
Johnny immediately wrapped a towel around my head and rubbed it dry.
"Sit down.", he just said and sat me on the toilet lid. I saw Johnny standing in front of me with his cell phone and a pair of scissors in his hand.
"What are you going to do?", I asked, irritated.
He just grinned. "I've been cutting my hair for years. I can manage it."
I sighed. "Why not?"
Johnny was beaming like a child at Christmas and studied the picture I had sent him a few days ago in detail. Then he set to work with great concentration, cutting my head more by feel than anything else. It couldn't get any worse than the mushroom hairstyle I left with.
He looked almost professional as he divided the hair and checked every now and then to make sure it was lying the way he wanted it.
Then he rubbed the towel over my head again and nodded with satisfaction. He reached for the hairdryer and put it in place before grabbing one of his various hair gels and styling it.
"Voilà.", he grinned and pulled me up to look in the mirror.
I stared. "That's perfect.", I whispered. Johnny grinned behind me. "I know."
I ran my fingers through the now more beautiful strands. "How are you so good at this?"
He shrugged his shoulders. "I've been cutting mine forever and every now and then I cut someone's hair at base."
I pulled him in for a kiss. "Thank you."
He ran his hand over the back of my head. "Always."

Rudy
"Morning." he murmured, smiling. I buried myself in the pillow again. I was slow to come back to the land of the living and realized that my scalp felt different. I remembered yesterday. I remembered that I had finally taken the plunge and cut off my hair. I remembered all too well that Rudy had shown me, what he thought of my new look. My neck felt sore. Rudy is and always has been a biter. I ran my hand over my head. "How bad is it?", I asked, still tired.
Rudy laughed lightly. "I thought we established yesterday, that I like it."
I grinned. "Yeah." I peeked at him through one eye. "I meant more the current state."
He stroked my hair. "I think it's cute."
I grinned. "I feel like an Araucana chicken."
He laughed relaxed. "My sweet Araucana chicken."
I buried myself against his chest. Gently, he ran his fingers over my back. "I must confess... It's quite pleasant to not swallow your hair all the time in my slepp."
I laughed. "You're welcome."
He kissed me on the nose and tousled my head. "Does my Araucana chicken want to shower with me?"
I grinned. "Only if my silky fowl comes with me."
He stumbled. "I don't look like a silky."
I grinned. "Just a little bit."
He buried me playfully underneath him and maltreated my neck with his mouth, grinning. I laughed and surrendered to his caresses.

König (Klaus)
I felt big hands running over my head. I rolled my eyes with a grin and looked up from my book.
The mountain of a man, who called himself my boyfriend stood behind me with an embarrassed grin and looked down at me.
"Sorry.", he mumbled.
I shook my head. "That's all right. Let off steam."
He lifted me off the sofa, sat on it himself and then draped me so that I could continue reading on his lap. His hands continued to run through the short strands of hair on my head.
I almost felt like a cat being cuddled. I could understand the little creatures. I put my book aside with a sigh and curled up on top of him.
"I would have cut my hair off much earlier, if I'd known I'd get a head massage every day."
He just grumbled and continued stroking my head.
I let myself be lulled by his fingers, until my eyes fell shut. I was almost in the land of dreams when I was torn from my relaxation.
Pumpkin the cat was standing next to us and screaming at Klaus. It didn't matter that I had rescued the little one. Klaus had been her human from day one. Klaus and only Klaus.
He laughed lightly and lifted the cat onto his lap too. She let him stroke her demonstratively and showed me which of us was number one here.
I rolled my eyes and smiled. Cats.
Klaus pressed a kiss to my lips. Pumpkin immediately rubbed her head at his chin.
"Hey, I saved you. He didn't want you at all!"
He laughed. "My two girls." he sighed.
