Park Taesong, mononyously known as Taesong, is a fictional south korean singer and dancer based in South Korea. He is a member of equally fictitious south korean boy group LOOPiN and its former pre-debut subunit LOOPiN We/Eden, formed by New Wave Music alongside Blockberry Creative, acting as the main vocalist and former leader of the group.

Taesong’s kidness and optimism have always been his most apparent qualities, and they’ve been integrated into his brand as a K-Pop Idol. INSINCs will always describe him as sweet, conforting, responsible and devoted to LOOPiN and its fans, the cardboard copy of the stereotypical ‘parent of the group’. Altought not the best or most stable performer on stage, his clear passion for singing and his dedication to keep the group united and functioning harmonically has owned him a dedicated niche fanbase, as well as the admiration of anyone who’s ever met him on the job.

TOP10 IDOLMAKER PAIRINGS FANS CAN’T GET ENOUGH OF!

Recently, a week long poll was held on IDOLMAKER’s official site, in which fans were encouraged to pick their favorite IDMK friendship duos, trios or any sort of combination among the 16 current members. While it’s still unclear if it will culminate in any sort of benefit or special release from the Top10 pairings, or if it’s just another one of FURTA Media’s direct marketing research tactics, fans still took the poll seriously and went to war for their picks. Anyhow, here at the results!

10. 2EUNYOO (EUNHYUK X EUNYOUNG X YOOJIN) with 4% of votes!

Nicknamed as ‘MAXIs First Love Trio’, 2EunYoo’s chemistry in variety shows and early promotional material is often said to be one of the key elements behind IDOLMAKER’s successful sell of their project in their pre-debut months - Eunyoung and Eunhyuk’s obvious care for Yoojin was endearing to her already established fanbase, making their position as co-leaders even the more obvious. Although not promoted as often together at this point in time for reasons that fans can only speculate about (rumors surrounding an alleged misunderstanding between the three have run wild since 2019), older MAXIs still hold on foundly to the team, and every small piece of interaction between the three of them can still cause a considerable amount of frenezy and trend for days!

09. YOUNG WIN (GAYOUNG X DAEWON) with 5% of votes!

The center x center pairing got popular almost immediatly after Daewon’s addition to group in 2020, when he and Gayoung got paired up in a Ready To Love dance break. They jokingly took to calling themselves team ‘Young Win’ on their rehearsal vlogs, which ended up sticking for how fitting it is: Gayoung and Daewon are both 97 and 99 liners, respectively, but they’re already some of the most prominent It Girl and It Boy not only in their group, but also in 4th Gen as a whole. Their joint brand friendliness is remarkable and keeps on growing day by day, with Young Win recently doing promotional campaigns for Bobbi Brown and attending the Prada fashion show in 2023′s Milan Fashion Week side by side. Daewon is one of the few people that can make Gayoung break character and laugh in between scheduels, while it’s easy to see that her professionalism brings out the best out of him when they work together, which they seen to want to keep doing for a long, long time.

08. 4TH GEN GANG (TOMOMI X DAEWON X KINA X YUZURIHA) with 6% of votes!

Fans have time and time again point out that while all past IDMK units always seemed to leave someone a little behind, as it happened with Seunggi in 1st Gen, Taehyeon in the 2nd and Yejung in the 3rd, IDOLMAKER’s latest addition really feels like a team of four friends that work in harmony. A lot of credit is probably due to their different style of promotions then the groups before them; the unit was originally set to hyperfocus on the japanese market before Daewon made the cut, and even with a korean member added to the mix they still spent most of their first year sharing an apartment in Tokyo and getting to know each other more isolated from the main group. Their mix of personalities has also always been very well received: serious Tomomi, jokester Daewon, energetic Kina and mellow Yuzuriha is a combo that never fails to amuse MAXIs and even non-fans, on occasion. All duo combinations among the 4th Gen Gang is also very popular, with KIYU~~ (Kina and Yuzuriha, the maknae line that is notorious for their geek enthusiasm over their game) and ToKi (Tomomi and Kina, who have a cat and mouse sort of teasing dynamic going on) coming just short of making it into the poll on their own.

New Wave Music has release a surprise statement today (March 16th) announcing the official departure of LOOPiN’s Beomseok from the company and the group.

It reads as follows:

Hello, this is New Wave Music. 

Beomseok, who’s been a member of LOOPiN up until now, has terminated his contract and will no longer be part of the group moving foward.

On October 2022, with the full aquisition of the members contracts made by our company after our creative departure with a former colaborator, we came to the agreement with 9 out of the then 10 members to revise past amendmends and resign for more three years. After much consideration and a two month long discussion, Beomseok has decided to not renew his contract and cease all activities as a member of LOOPiN as of March 2023.

We thank Beomseok for the five years he has given us, and we wish nothing but personal fullfilment in his journey moving foward. We hope fans will share the same sentiment, accept our apologies for the sudden news, and look foward to the future of LOOPiN with whatever shape the lineup might take.

Beomseok has also written a personal letter uploaded on Fab, his personal Instagram account and the group’s official Twitter regarding the news:

To my iNSYNCS,

It’s been hard to condense everything I want to say in a single letter. I have decided to be brief.

The decision to leave the group might seen abrupt looking from an outside perspective, but if I have to be honest, it’s been a long time coming. My heart hasn’t been set on music for a long time. I have already lived all my teenage dreams thanks to every single one of you, but now I find myself with new goals, and none of them include being an Idol for any longer then I already have. I wish I could have been honest with myself and others sooner, so I wouldn’t hurt anyone with those news now.

To my members and to my fans who have looked after me with such care for so long, from the bottom of my heart I say: thank you for all the love and support you’ve trusted on me. Thanks to it, my years with LOOPiN will be forever engraved in my mind and in my heart as some of my happiest. I’m forever grateful and indept to you.

As of what will come next for me, I don’t know for sure yet. But the certainty I have is that I won’t be in the public eye, anymore. The entertainment industry is no longer the right place for me. I trust our fans to understand and respect my wish.

Na Seungsoo, mononymously known as Seungsoo, is a fictional south korean singer and dancer based in South Korea. He is a member of equally fictitious south korean boy group LOOPiN and its former pre-debut subunit LOOPiN After First, formed by New Wave Music alongside Blockberry Creative, acting as the lead vocalist, lead dancer and producer of the group.

Seungsoo takes his self assigned role of LOOPiN’s funny man and mood maker as seriously as he takes his producing position, although fans have grown so used to seeing him cultivating running gags and jokingly praising his members – to the point of owning the title of ‘Inside iNSYNC’ –, that a percentage often forgets that Seungsoo can be a dedicated, attentious and highly artistic person in more fields then just music, an Idol with his heart on his sleeve. He’s had the most organic popularity growth in the group with little New Wave interference, and it’s now easily one of the most celebrated and market friendly members, having the most uniform ratio between korean and international fans in LOOPiN. His impulsivity, however, is something that shows past the Idol mask despite his years of experience, and could make Seungsoo be mistaken for a rookie; it mostly comes through in the form of oversharing-then-deleting posts online, and it has placed Seungsoo countless times in vulnerable positions where speculation of his personal life and true personality ran rampant – nothing he couldn’t bounce back from by ingeniously charming his audience on and off stage yet.

MAKE IT OUR WAY is the first world tuor of fictional south korean group IDOLMAKER. Divied between two parts – the first being a set of Asia-Pacific shows starting from April 2023, the second concerts in Europe, North America and South America announced for the third quarter of the year –, it was oficially announced on February by FURTA Media.

Of course that, in full IDMK fashion, the fan voting aspect of the group will be incorporated on the making of the tour setlist: MAXIs will have the opportunity to pick 6 out the 16 members to have original solo stages throughout the concerts, with the votes coming from Asia-Pacific fans weighing 60% more on the final decision. A second round of voting to determinate the solo stages when the tour picked up again later on the year was promised to fans as well.
