Interesting Les Mis Fact #4
The first 4% of the book doesn’t mention Jean Valjean once, so it mentions the main character 4% later than most books.
Klaus is truly the best of them all, but he thinks he’s the worst. He never lashed out against his siblings, he dealt with more mental breakdowns than the rest of them combined but was still there to help when he was needed, he had the strength to get sober even though drugs were the only thing protecting him from his fears and his past, he never stopped caring, and was never too wrapped up in himself to help.
