Felt so lost when Miranda first cursed her.

Couldn't figure out if she was scared or angry that there was no longer love or interest for the things and people she used to feel deeply for.

It turned into obsession instead.

Sometimes she'd catch herself zoning out, how could she not just stop functioning every now and then when she no longer feels?

Overtime she stopped zoning out, functioning on full autopilot instead.

Cut off her sisters due to not knowing how she'd look them in the eye and have them catch her not feeling anything for them anymore.

She may no longer be able to feel, but she still doesn't want to hurt her sisters.

Ends up obsessed with taking down Miranda because she sees it as a way to make up to her family for cutting them off.

Curse Lifted:

The first thing she does on her own is to sit underneath a tree's shade to just feel the gentle breeze.

She cries silently, not knowing how it was possible to miss such a common experience in human life.

She goes for a jog on a day when it's sunny and she's free. Pushing herself to her limits until her vision swims due to exertion.

She lies down on the grass for a moment and laughs, carefree as the sun shines down on her. Letting the heat draw out more sweat from her and simply just basking in how she's able to feel it now.

Bela stands under light rains, never once passing up the chance to feel the small pitter patters of water on her skin. She smiles with glee every single time.

MC Romance:

While cursed, she definitely gives off "Rhodessa - Kisame" vibes.

Bela started to theorise that she was falling for MC when she brought them chicken soup.

It didn't slip her notice that MC tried to steer the conversation towards her mundane life.

Not her accomplishments, not her riches, not her connections- Just her and what's in her mind.

Looks like she takes the lead in their relationship, but actually discreetly let's MC make the decisions.

Bela is a sucker for MC's chicken tinola.

MC taught her a bit about Filipino pop culture.

She may not have perfected the language yet, but she definitely nailed the:

"Science tells us that our genetic imprint predetermines your life, your fate, your choices. Pinanganak kang bobo, lalaki kang bobo, mamamatay kang bobo." (Translation is in the author's notes below.)

Bela also adopted the habit of saying "Bwisit" whenever she gets mildly frustrated;

And "Putangina" whenever she gets very frustrated.

She loves how those words just sound satisfyingly crunchy.

Likes "Cup of Joe"

Learned Tagalog to understand what the lyrics say.

Once the loop is broken and she remembers all of the things her and MC had done across all past loops, she coins "Cup of Joe - Ikaw Pa Rin" as her favorite song.

MC is thankful that Bela doesn't remember the times in the loops when she turned into a Zombie. They have sworn to take those memories to the grave, unwilling to subject to Bela to it.

Whenever Bela gets flustered by MC doing little romantic things for her, she'd try to downplay her swooning by raising an eyebrow and telling MC "Bading, bading- Bakla, bakla!"

Bela is able to sing Tagalog songs she loves without an English accent but whenever she speaks Tagalog normally, the English accent always bleeds in.

MC always smiles, finding it absolutely adorable.

MC taught Bela how to eat a chicken wing by removing the lower joint so that it's easier to take the meat off.

On her first attempt, she somehow choked on one of the wing bones.

Bela has forbidden MC from letting literally anyone other than the two of them know.

Daniela knows this though, and she's waiting for the right time to use the story as blackmail.

(Y'all CANNOT convince me na hindi chismosa si MC sa mga tamang tao.)

Once saw someone flirt with MC on Christmas season.

Went right up to MC, placed her arm around their shoulder and told them in the sweetest tone she could muster that if the person doesn't back off, she'll ensure that "Sasama siya sa kwitis papuntang langit."

A/N: I NEED more instances of the game reinforcing the canonical fact that our MC is a Filipino, but I understand why they didn't because it can absolutely break immersion in gameplay for non-Filipino players. 95 Theses (Meower's version), Everyone is Miranda

Hello good people! This is part 2 of @alexandroseleven post [HERE], which laid the foundations for me to explain this theory. The next posts will be at @zeleneagle [HERE], @h-doodles [HERE] and @lapisdemon22 [HERE] respective blogs, who will continue to explain what happened last night.

SO LET'S BEGIN

THIS was us last night, playing around, saying stuff to see if something would eventually stick. Up to this point we had slandered Alcina, Cass was slowly becoming Miranda, then KJ said it. Let's zoom in on her messages for a moment.

That's when it hit me. Perhaps I'm not as delulu as I thought?

For context, the night before yesterday I had been working on a theory with the help of both Lee and Myrddin, said theory talked about the possibility of all Dimitrescu's and Beneviento's representing a side, a stage you may say, of Miranda's life. Like pieces to a giant puzzle.

EVERYONE IS MIRANDA.

So, I know it sounds far fetched, but let me explain from the beginning.

First of all, let's begin with Bela (<3). She's been cooked and served in the past, we can officially describe her as the kinder, caring version of Miranda, the one that always has MC's back and viceversa, as confirmed by the devs with the Parallels Theory. I will quote Cinder in this:

"When MC is in need of care, Bela goes to their “territory” with soup to aid them despite “not caring”. Although she’s pissed, she still helps them when they need it, and they only go to Bela’s dorm when they’re both feeling better and have the capability of saying no. Bela goes to MC, not the other way around, and there is always a choice."

"When MC is in need of care, Miranda takes them to her home. It doesn’t even occur to her to take them back to their dorm where their friends are waiting and concerned. She takes them to her place, where she feels like she is most in control of her environment and how people function and there is barely a choice at all in the matter as MC is literally drugged out of their mind in her car. Eventually, they make it back to their dorm safe and sound, and they are taken care of well enough to not feel endangered." 

They have similar responses when caring for MC, completely parallel to each other, Bela for the better and Miranda for the worst. Which leads me to think, is there a possibility Miranda could have acted like Bela with Feather? That she once was the right side of the coin?

We know Miranda and Feather met in 1976, they crash into each other and even though Feather apologizes inmmediately, she's still met with a "Get out of my way." From Miranda. However, the very next piece of info we get on this flashback is this:

"You rear back, you know - somewhere in your bones - that she is mean. She has a propensity for cruelty, especially if someone wrongs her. It is the only way she has survived this long."

I find that last part quite interesting. It seems Miranda's cruelty very foundations come from external pressure, people wronging her, society perhaps? In the 70s and even up until today, misogyny was a very common factor in society, no doubt, something that could have affected Miranda. If keeping her mean persona up meant respect from others, it would only make sense to keep it on, this is further proved by another part of the same flashback:

"You have been balancing precariously in the realm between friends and more, but neither of you have wanted to risk the societal persecution that would follow if you were to be wrong."

Society continues to fuck things up I guess.

Anyways, back to Miranda can be kind ramble, Miranda personally searches for Feather to apologize. This is a version of Miranda we do not see with MC, however is a version we see Bela perform.

Which leads me to believe that Bela in reality represents the old Miranda, the one who would care for Feather and would no doubt fight her mean instincts to make her happy. The one who would be softer with Feather when away from prying eyes and judgmental voices that could very well destroy them both.

Interesting connections do NOT end here.

If Bela and Donna (talking about her a bit further in the post) can share traits with Miranda, who says the rest can't?

If there's someone people haven't talked enough about, it's Dani. Our girl is gathering dust, but why?

I began thinking about her, analyzing her route. Dani cannot fall in love, because she's cursed to become a beast when she does by Miranda. Her route is almost like a fairytale, isn't it? The friendliness, the sweetness, the way only MC can break the curse by choosing to stay (which is vastly different from Bela's route, in which if you choose to stay and support her, you get killed).

So, I began cooking with that. I think Dani is the perfect representation of young first love, the innocence that it brings and the cruelness of when it ends. Daniela is cursed to become a beast that brings a finale to her own fairytale.

She represents the monster you become when love has to end.

That clear, I believe that in this theory, Daniela represents Miranda's grief after losing not only Eva, but also Feather. Her young love, who was killed just a bit after her daughter. She would move the sun and the moon for them, create a cult of followers, create experiments and discover inmortality, she would make a beast out of herself just for them.

If Eva stayed, if Feather stayed, I assure you Miranda wouldn't have becomed the beast.

We move on to Cassandra, she is this social figure with big expectations for herself and even BIGGER dreams, that when they get destroyed by an outside force, she's willing to tear the world apart and even taint her hands in the blood of someone else, even when it's someone who helped her, to get them back. This is proven by her bad ending, where there's little to no hesitation on her side when Alcina suggests sacrificing people.

Are we seeing this? Cass loves theatre with all her heart, aspires to make a living of it, her dreams are based on this, if she loses it, if everything is destroyed? She doesn't back down and instead takes the next best decision, even if it's unreasonable and in turn destroys everything else.

Does this sound familiar? It better be because this is exactly what Miranda does, except she isn't inclined to theatre like Cass is, she's inclined to family and love. She's represents Miranda's ambition and determination and how willing she is to destroy the world for her Eva and her Feather, how Miranda never backed down even after countless resets, after years of the same shit, just for another chance.

Angie is next, and I believe she might be very important.

We see Angie on all routes, including her own, having a close relationship with vices and unhealthy coping mechanisms. On her cult ending, it's also revealed that Angie originally died with Claudia, and Donna in her despair went to Miranda, crafted a doll to Angie's appearence and gave it her soul.

This is going to sound far-fetched, but HEAR ME OUT-

I think Angie represents loss, she represents the unhealthy things Miranda continues to do, the vices and the willingness to put herself through everything to get back her daughter. Angie was brought back to life by a family member that couldn't stand the idea of being left behind, that would do anything to keep her by her side, no matter the sacrifice, Angie represents Miranda's purpose and mission to keep going in both RE8 and RL, Eva.

Which brings us to Donna being Miranda's mirror. This part has been cooked by Lee in the past, they both have the possesive side, the obsession, the desire to keep what is rightfully theirs, if we do not focus on MC, that would be Eva and Angie respectively. Donna would do ANYTHING for Angie, she kills, she sacrifices, poisons, and other questionable acts, if prompted she would definitely go Miranda lenghts. And she has technically, hasn't she? She brought Angie back, created a doll to fit her soul into, I'm sure if the doll hadn't been a possibility, she would have gone Miranda levels and broken time for her.

And to finish this huge ramble, let me talk about Worst Mother of the Year award winner Alcina Dimitrescu, who, for some reason, was difficult to wrap my head around.

You see, on @alexandroseleven post, you could very well see me struggling with her and eventually reach a conclusion, but let me explain it a bit further.

Alcina is a clear representation of two things, pride and failure. Throughout the routes we see how much she prides herself in what she has and her reputation, her power you might even say, on what she can do and the opportunity given to her by the cult. This is an influence she tries to give to her daughters, trying to guide them into Mother Miranda's hands, and only successfully convinces Cassandra.

In her route, we see her trying to desperately fix her relationship with her daughters (specially Daniela), however, at the very ending of her good ending, we see how she breaks it even further! Because she doesn't see the main source of the problem, which is her desire for her daughters to follow a path she's putting them on.

For all that, I believe Alcina represents Miranda's pride over her power, but also represents Miranda trying to fix what's already broken and the failures that come with it (aka, the thousand resets), not seeing that the main problem is she's not letting go.

Having explained and argumented everything, I can safely say I believe every character in this game is meant to represent a stage of Miranda's life. So yeah, everyone is Miranda :D

Alcina Dimitrescu

There was always something off about you.

You never seemed to tire after long hours of work at her castle, you never shied away from cleaning duty in the dungeon like the others and most importantly you seemed to never bleed.

As a vampire that was one of the first things she noticed about you but never thought to bring it up.

She noticed your lack of heartbeat and lack of smell that usually came with the maids.

Normally she would just leave it alone because you did your job well and did tasks that nobody else wanted to do.

One night when everything was winding down for the evening, she heard the sound of a window breaking.

Usually she would summon her daughters to deal with the intruder but due to it being a colder winter she opted to do it herself.

When she got down to the kitchen she was surprised to see that the intruder’s chest had caved in and his cheeks were sunken. It was like all the air was sucked out of him and he was left as a husk.

She was even more surprised to see you there with an expression similar to a child who got caught stealing cookies.

You had small almost see through horns poking out from your hair. Your skin had turned to a pale grey and you had claws.

“Well, this is a surprise turn of events but not an unexpected one.”

You two had a long chat about what exactly you were.

You explained that you were an air ghoul and escaped from hell to enjoy life on the mortal side of the earth.

She asked if you were happy with serving her and you said yes. After all you got fed human food, were surrounded by humans and got to be in the presence of other unearthly creatures.

You also said that you sucked the air from the intruder because he scared you when you were trying to get a midnight snack.

She sighs and realised that you may be just as much of a handful as her daughters

Karl Heisenberg

Heisenberg smelled smoke when he entered the factory. It wasn’t an uncommon smell but he smelled it more that usual.

When he found you sitting with some of his creations with your arm on fire and marshmallows dangling above the flame he does a double take.

“What. The. Fuck???”

He is so confused.

From what he knew you were just a normal human and yet you were roasting marshmallows off of a flame that covered your entire arm.

You wave at him before tossing a roasted marshmallow at his head.

He catches it and eats it

He shoes away his creations before sitting on a crate in front of you with a bewildered expression.

He asks for an explanation and you tell him your a fire ghoul but just wanna chill up on earth for a bit.

Bewilderment is replaced with excitement.

You bet he wants to figure out a way to combine his powers and yours for an ultimate power up.

Heisenberg is a man of many talents and one of those talents is causing mayhem against Mother Miranda.

“Just think: flaming metal! It would be great!”

You go along with it because of course! This man wants to cause chaos and what else are you supposed to do up on the surface?

Donna Beneviento

Angie had finally convinced Donna to hire a new gardener.

After the last gardener died she was hesitant to allow anyone else close to her again but the plants were growing too much and she could barely keep up.

You had been on the earth for a few months now and decided that staying close to your element would be the best plan so seeing that add for a gardener was a blessing.

When you first met Donna and Angie you were taken to their uniqueness and enjoyed working for the two.

Angie was seen around you more than Donna but that didn’t mean you couldn’t sense her.

She walked on the very ground that you started to tame and once the earth around her mansion was yours, nobody could sneak up on you.

Donna truely figured out something was different about you when you purposely stepped out of Donna’s way when she was supposed to be invisible to your eyes.

Donna kept a closer eye on you through her dolls. Often gifting you one in return for your hard work.

Through the eyes of her dolls was when she first saw you.

Your green skin and brown ram-like horns that curled around your face. The way that the ground moulded and changed to your will was terrifying and interesting to Donna.

She hesitantly started to show herself to your non-green and horned form whenever you would tend to the garden in front of her house.

The conversations would be pretty one sided but as time went on Donna spoke more and more to you, eventually asking about the green skin and horns.

You confess that you’re not human and in fact an earth ghoul that just wanted to become more in touch with your element.

Donna couldn’t help but feel better that your reasoning was so pure.

She offered for you to stay in your natural form if it was more comfortable for you and reassured you than nobody would see you like that if you didn’t want them to.

You felt comforted by Donna’s presence and openness about your natural appearance and you only hopped she felt the same when she showed you her scar.

Angie loved to sit on your shoulders and hold onto your horns, always saying how she could ride the mighty ram into battle.

Salvatore Moreau

It starts small when he notices that someone else is in his waters.

He and his fish are usually the only thing that swim in the village since the villagers are too scared to.

When he spots blue skin in murky green water he gets excited at the idea of a new friend.

Spotting the blue skinned creature was easier than catching you because you were much smaller than he was.

You didn’t have a tail like he did but you could see much clearly under water and evade his capture.

It wasn’t like he wanted to hurt you, he just wanted to meet you and meet someone else who has an affinity for water.

Slowly but surely he was able to coax you out of your hiding spot and onto the shore. He was curious on how someone that looked human could crept for the blue skin and small silver horns, found it’s way into his territory.

You explained that you wanted to see the ocean but only got this far and that you were at water ghoul.

He excitedly told you that there were other lakes around the village that he could take you to.

When you confessed that you only liked his lake because there weren’t any people except for him and his fish he tried to make the water as enjoyable as possible for you.

Mother Miranda

Since you first came to the village she knew you weren’t human. You looked human and ate human food but there was just a strange aura around you.

You weren’t disturbing any of her plans or experiments so she left you alone for the time being.

When you sat on top of her chapel just to get a better look at the stars, she confronted you.

She landed beside you and asked not so calmly why you were on her chapel.

You explained that you leaned no harm and just wanted to see the stars better. After all the village didn’t have the best views.

You were much more calm than anyone else.

Mother Miranda just sighed and offered to show you better spots to see the stars that weren’t on her roof.

She showed you a few places and even varied you to the top of Lady Dimitrescu’s castle because what could Alcina do? It wasn’t like she was going to say no to Miranda.

It became a little tradition for Miranda to meet you at night and watch the night sky with you.

When you confessed to being not human she said she already knew but didn’t know what you were.

You said you were a quintessence ghoul and simply wanted to see the sky.

She was impressed to see a ghoul out in the real world and asked if you could help her with her experiments.

Since you had a lot of free time in the day you agreed.

Extending further on our new Garden puppy reader. What about if the Chief needs to punish the assassins for attacking the other Sinners?

Just the Chief calling you to her office alone, just to lock the door behind her and send a message to the Garden women that they'll get you back when she sees their attitudes improve.

Other Sinners very quickly realizing that they can get a rise from any of the three women by targeting you instead. Coquelic refusing to spar Zoya when she has you in her lap, so the only reasonable thing to do is obvious! Zoya just snatches you from Coquelic's grip and bolts, running through the building with you slung over her shoulder and crying for Coquelic to rescue you.

Or perhaps Langley finds you in the Chief's office during one of their punishment periods. Which of course only has one thing to be done! To play on the intercom for the entire MBCC headquarters to hear, her holding you pinned beneath her and she showers compliment after praise to pull out all those adorable embarrassed noises you make.

But no matter what, no matter who messes with you or trying to take what belongs to them away. All three women will always have you back in their embrace, your tail wagging happily at just being near them. But don't forget, Puppy, they need to make sure to remind you why you belong to them and them alone.

There’s something really amusing about the Sinners playing “keep away” with you, as Coquelic, Garofano and Sumire all try to hunt them down in order to get you back 😭

Coquelic probably goes ballistic when you’re snatched away by anyone other than her assassins. So Chief, Langley, and any of the other sinners who dare snatch you away, will have to face the wrath of an angry Coquelic who’s like a spinning, small tornado of anger that’ll tear up the MBCC to get her puppy back…

Oh and if Coquelic manages to snatch you back only to see how the other women have marked you up…? Coquelic is livid. Literally red faced and screaming as she summons Garofano and Sumire to bring you down to her cell, because she’s rebutting twice as hard for all the hickies and attention you’ve been given from the other women. You need to remember who your original owners are, no matter how many times the women in the Bureau try to play “keep away” with you 😨
