It deserves a way better essay than I have time for right now, but the OKO Overture is so violently, ardently alive and it all comes down to the lines that kinda encapsulate my love for this band:

It's an attitude that's fucking life changing and it's the thing I loved about Neotheater. It forces you to shout that you're here, and the world might be trying to wear you down but you're alive damn it, and that's not only enough, it's beautiful. And maybe you don't believe it the first time you sing along, or the second, or the third, but after a while, you realize that fuck, I really do mean it this time. And that's why this band makes me so fucking happy: they put honest, unfiltered love out into the world and it slams you in the chest until you're singing along in the car and suddenly things seem a little bit brighter and you can't tell why but you just have to hit repeat.
