MANIFEST
MANIFEST

Fight me if I’m wrong but- I hc that this man has a southern accent when he speaks..
“A monster is not such a terrible thing to be. From the Latin root monstrum, a divine messenger of catastrophe, then adapted by the Old French to mean an animal of myriad origins: centaur, griffin, satyr. To be a monster is to be a hybrid signal, a lighthouse: both shelter and warning at once.”
— Ocean Vuong, from “A Letter To My Mother That She Will Never Read”, published in The New Yorker (via soracities)
"ugh, i need him so bad," we all say in unison as the camera pans to reveal a 40+ yo man.

May your next period be light and end quickly
this hug with sylus is everything. this hug builds more sylus x mc than we’ve had in 2 months. can you imagine him hugging you like this? i’m having a hard time breathing
Not to get emo on main but you ever think about how the troop sang about their dreams of finding “a girl worth fighting for”, and they think their girl worth fighting for is one of romance, but the song abruptly comes to a halt when they find a different girl worth fighting for.

A tiny girl that had been killed at the hands of the Huns. A child too weak, too small to have any chance of withstanding the murderous invaders. That is their girl worth fighting for.
I mean this from the bottom of my heart, fuck commas
(I am a student so yes, this is personal)
(One of my language teachers just put out, that tomorrow we will be talking about an assignment we did last time, doing a bit of writing on a larger assignment, and then “short talk about commas” along with “comma rules”, “test your sentence” and “take a comma test”
And I did look the “test your sentence” is about commas
How many of me and my classmates messed up the commas so bad that most of tomorrows lecture is about commas??)

This is the magic lucky word count. Reblog for creativity juice. It might even work, who knows.
Saw a post about how wild it is that Inej's probably gonna be a saint while Kaz will be a story to scare children, but you know what will be REALLY wild? The legends that get told when people find out they knew each other.
It will probably be half "Kaz kidnapped/ tortured/ corrupted/ killed Inej" and half "Inej redeemed Kaz because by meeting her he realised how much of a sinner he was and that he wanted to be a better man". Hell, I can even imagine people worshipping Kaz, too, because he got to meet Sankta Inej, the blessed, the wraith, patron of thieves and hookers, holy empress of the True Sea, nightmare of slave traders and pirate queen with a heart untouched by sin.
And they'll probably be depicted together very often, kinda the GrishaVerse version of Yin and Yang.

All he draws are red and blue triangles

Thank you @petrichorandarson for suggesting I draw them hugging because “WDYM FORD JUST PUNCHES HIM AND MOVES TF ON”

i too would leave important life decisions up to a magic 8-ball

Sketches for a deal I made
y’all just— thinking about how excited Stanley must have been to host the twins— Alex says he smokes cigars but he doesn’t smoke once in the show— has a beer gut but he only drinks sodas in front of the kids— doesn’t swear when they’re around which must have taken INCREDIBLE effort— Stanley Pines, known crook, buying pancake mix at the supermarket and many bottles of syrup— learning to cook basic healthy meals and burning so many of them before he gets it right— buying new sheets, new mattresses— avoiding bunk beds because it reminds him of Ford— looking at the attic room he made wondering “is this enough will they like me”— trying to act aloof at the bus stop so he doesn’t betray the fact that he was there hours early— watching them goof around and thinking of New Jersey beaches— then the first night they’re there, he watches them debate running away and only stay because Mabel shook a magic 8 ball. That must have kept him awake all night.
