Summary: Annika still has work to do.

made for @festivids 2022

Seven of Nine is incredibly important to me. She helped me grow up and her return was exactly what I needed to move forward in the midst of *waves hands at the world*. I focused on Seven finding family, connection, and community — a collective, even! — in defiance of her trauma. Voyager freed her and brought her back to Earth, but Sirena offers her freedom and a home.

i just wanted to say thank you to every fanfic writer out there.

thank you for writing what others haven't, what others can't, what others won't.

thank you for writing what can be judged and hated, but writing it all the same.

thank you for indulging in something that you love and allowing the rest of us to love it with you.

if you have one kudos or one thousand, one comment or one hundred, one bookmark or fifty, i love each and every one of you for writing them.

thank you.

When nobody wakes you up in the morning, when nobody waits for you at night, and when you can do whatever you want, what do you call it, Freedom or Loneliness?

Charles Bukowski

"We, with our soft hearts, are so easily infatuated with matters and confuse them with love. We profess our adoration as if it were true, or even if it is, it tends to be shallow. Truthfully, we simply want to admire it from afar, up close, so close. Yet, we fail to realize our reluctance to be devoured by it, fearing submission to something so long a stranger. The superficial connection turns out to be nothing more than fleeting sparks."
