Astarion sits so close to you by the campfire that you knock knees.

Your shoulders brush as you shift your weight in an attempt to get more comfortable on the log you've all been using as a makeshift bench, and you wonder if his sensitive ears pick up the sound of your heart as it races in your chest.

You just can't handle it.

How when he laughs at your jokes it's a full-bodied reaction. His head tilted back, silver curls bouncing along with the shake of his shoulders. You don't think it's exactly voluntary when he reaches out in your direction, cool fingers curling around your forearm like he'll fall over if he doesn't have something to cling to.

All you can focus on for a moment is how how pretty his teeth are– how cute it is that his fang catches his bottom lip and is still visible even once he's closed his mouth.

There's no way whatever you just said is that funny, but his grin isn't even a little dishonest. It's actually so sincere that you can't help but grin back at him. Makes you want to crack another, equally as stupid joke just to see it again once it's gone.

Lovesick fools, the both of you.

He'll somehow scoot even closer if someone decides to sit by his other side. Will loop your arms together and turn towards you, hip against yours, chin resting lightly on the hand he now has on your shoulder. His eyelashes flutter, and your heart follows suit.

You're curled into one another this way, in your own little bubble as he murmurs into your ear and nods along to whatever you say in response. His eyes are so pretty. Carmine in color with pupils so big they're practically glittering from the light of the fire. Wide and soft. Puppyish.

It isn't long before someone makes a comment about it. Be it Lae'zel and her rather interesting input about how you can't keep off of eachother for a second, or just Karlach telling the two of you to get a room. Occasionally, Gale will cough in a very pointed way.

To your dismay, Astarion's gaze loses a little of that softness. You catch the briefest flash of something that resembles annoyance before his lids go heavy again. His eyes crease the slightest bit around the edges before they flick towards your companions– back to you.

If he's feeling cheeky (and he almost always is), he'll put on a show. Will make a comment about how he can't blame them for being jealous, but they don't always have to be so loud about it. Or will throw his head back to moan theatrically about how comfortable and warm you are. Slings one of his legs over your own, the back of his knee hooked by yours as he drapes himself across you all dramatic. Basically, will just be half in your lap for the rest of the evening just to be a nuisance.

Other times, he's just not in the mood. His nose will wrinkle, a crease forming between his brows that you just have to thumb away. He's quiet (almost nervous? shy?) when he asks you if you'd like to spend some time with him in a more private setting. To which you've obviously always responded to with a nod so enthusiastic that he's smiling in that special way again.

You bid your companions goodnight before you're up, arms still looped tightly as you wander towards the direction of his tent. You say something funny, too quiet for anyone else to hear, and his joyful laugh trails off with the sound of your shared footsteps.

"Lovesick fools," Karlach says as she watches the two of you, amusement all in her tone. "The both of them. "

Could I request headcanons for Astarion, Gale, Wyll, Halsin, Dammon, Rolan, and Zevlor react to his shy gn s/o nervously asking if they can kiss him on the lips?

tries to downplay how genuinely pleased he is by putting on his typical bravado “oh well I knew you couldn’t keep away, darling”

secretly chuffed because he understands having boundaries over your body and he’s pleased that you’re comfortable enough with him to ask

doesn’t want to make a big deal about it in camp but doesnt hide, either — wraps an arm around your waist and brings you to where he’s standing in the mouth of his tent

wants to make it special. catches your lips with his fangs a little but not too hard.

melts a little when he feels your hand gently run up his chest.

when you break apart, smiling, he feels a little thrill at how happy you look ❤️

Gale

surprised you’re asking! out loud says, “you don’t need permission to kiss me, they’re always gladly accepted.”

but sees how much courage it took for you to ask. Is so happy you trust him.

looks around, “where do you want me…? it has to be perfect…”

that’s enough to break some tension, you laugh and press your lips to his

his hands settle on your waist. not too tight, just enough to anchor you to the moment

my man is a romantic. this kiss is at a planned event.

not that he’s pressuring you into it! he just wants to have a lovely romantic date and it so happens that that’s where you feel safe enough to ask.

you're sequestered away from the group, little picnic spread out, he wanted to have a nice moment for just the two of you.

you gather up the courage to ask him and he’s surprised for a moment! but then he smiles; hand sliding up your arm to cup your face, his lips meet yours when you lean into it

it’s perfect. soft, gentle, loving. you can feel the emotion behind it.

he’s smiling when he pulls back. for a moment, you want to apologise for not instigating this sooner. but then, as if he’s read your mind:

honoured you trust him enough to ask.

he doesn’t care about rushing into anything. he’s an older man, happy to wait to take things at your pace.

not to say he isn’t pleased you asked — he is! he’s wanted to know what your kiss tastes like for a while now.

when we see him kiss in game there’s a ferocity behind it. but this time it’s soft, he lets you take the lead with pace.

uses his body to shield you from the rest of the camp so that the moment isn’t too public.

hands softly wrapping around you, bringing you to his broad chest. keeping you safe against him.

he mutters against your lips. “nature truly look its time with you. you are perfect…”

if he says it enough, maybe you’ll believe it’s true.

Dammon

is so immediately thrown he can’t even answer for a moment.

is the heat in his cheeks from the forge or something else…?

manages to find his words after a moment, “oh… yes! hang on, let me…”

cleans his hands, quickly splashes his face with water to remove the soot, turns to you-

you reach over and gently press your lips to his, surprising him!

but then he wraps his arms around you, tail swishing in such enthusiasm it takes out a row of tools

he’s a bit nervous to start with but gets super into it

he’s so excited. there’s a non-zero chance this is his first kiss.

tries to be soft and careful but can’t hold in how happy he is.

teeth clack together a bit, maybe a bit too eager with tongue… but you find yourself smiling into it anyway 💕

again, another tail swisher. can’t keep his emotions hidden from you. doesn’t want to.

he wants to touch you all over but keeps his hands to your waist to make sure you feel comfortable.

when you pull away he’s blushing, muttering “wow…”
