howdy. i'm pond. i'm an autistic trans woman who professionally writes about Fallout. since april 2023 i've given out over $5,000 to Fallout fans in need. having overcome homeless myself, it only made sense to pump the money i was making back into the community.

unfortunately my income was severely affected by unexpected changes in the market i was working in. i have 23 dollars in my account.

this has coincided with the most harrowing trauma of my adult life. additionally my friends and i have been dealing with targeted harassment from an alt-right kiwifarms-style clique from a Fallout community i'm no longer part of.

the Mothman Festival is in a week. i attended last year and it was a healing spiritual experience for me. i'd very much like to go again. the imposing beauty of West Virginia calls to me. the moth calls to me. realistically i'd need to raise about 160$ to pay for gas. genuinely starting to resent the popular tumblr userbase in the recent couple of months, just seeing what posts (and who) gets reblogs and what doesn't. everyone's blog could be a case study.

in this past day one of my joke posts from a year ago gained almost 2k notes. my posts about my friend Hazem's family (verified family #281 on evacuation spreadsheet) has gotten less than 100. they've only raised less than €500 in this entire day and there hasn't been a donation in 3 hours.

if everyone who reblogged the joke post in the past 24 hours donated just €10, Hazem's family would not only have the funds to not go hungry but also be evacuated. this is how dire it is.

im not fucking fearmongering they are doing this shit to protesters already they have been for years. it happened this summer, in a quaint little tourist trap town in northern michigan called traverse city. 60 people are facing felony charges with upwards of 20 years in prison for trying to organize against the decimation of an atlanta forest to build a militarized police training zone. gps trackers on their cars, data collection using surveillance cameras and AI. (under a democrat president and majority-democrat state government btw. i dont know how many more times i can reiterate that point until its fucking dead in the ground)
