I’m tired y’all.

Like, I understand that the people who speak out against Bakudeku think that they’re doing the right thing. I get that they have good intentions. They believe people are romanticizing abuse and normalizing it, and they think it’s affecting the world negatively.

But??? Maybe it’s not such a good way to go about it to go on people’s blogs or message them to shame them about it? It’s just.. frustrating,,, that people assume others don’t “get” what they get and are like.. stupid??? uneducated??? in a way. Or just plain selfish.

Just assumptions like people who ship Bakudeku has never gone through abuse in any form, or are misguided and don’t really understand like they do (if they have experience with it) about how these things work in society, unknowingly or knowingly romanticizing abuse, are straight people fetishizing gay people, etc.

Look gais, I’m like 30 years old and physically and mentally disabled, queer as f, person of color, went through plenty of partner-abuse, sexual abuse, physical and emotional abuse, a shit ton of bullying at school (not just kids, but teachers as well), took many sociology/history college courses, am a staunch feminist, etc. whATEVER. Do I really need to show you a picture of my walkie and wheelchair and a gay partner and a PhD in All Things Problematic to have the “right” to ship a fictional pairing ,,,?

Idk, don’t you think it’s a bit patronizing to assume that tumblr users who are into fandom & art don’t know anything about feminism/bullying/lgbtq struggles and aren’t concerned about those things as well? Not only that, but this,,, weirdly racist assumption towards Japanese/Asian women ~not understanding the Gay Struggle™ and are all straight and cis homophobic women who only want to get off~ thing (fujoshis or whatever it’s called as a Bad Word)???

Don’t you think it’s a bit sexist (or internalized sexism) too, how people spend waaaaaaaaaaaay more of their energy/time “calling out” other girls and women about how Problematic they are being instead of calling out middle-aged ~pro artist~ dudes drawing sexualized female characters who look like they’re 5 years old and making money off of it??
