I had a lot of fun with this one in particular, as it is my first time doing something pretty graphic. More like this will come in the future for sure! Let me know what you think!

THIS!! Ares deserves depth and exploration just like everyone else in the pantheon. There's so much to him, and his story. It requires a little digging, and reading between the lines, but there's so much there for him 🥺💖

im so tired of people characterising ares as a cruel, shitty person who incites and revels in war as if he was only like. armies marching on people.

ares is war. ares is protest. ares is petitions. ares is fights. ares is resistance and riots as much as he is organised attacks and military.

ares isn't athena, who is goddess of strategy. ares is war.

i just want to see an ares who isn't characterised by bloodlust or cruelty. Instead, give me an Ares who is fight, an Ares who goes to protests with his face obscured and his teeth bared. I want an Ares who heckles and petitions.

I want an Ares who isn't one dimensional.

ares gets done dirty way more than almost any god in modern media. why is is always a sexist asshole and why aren’t people using his myths? he was one of the least sexist gods, he saved thanatos (and therefore the world bc we kinda need death), his father hates him for no reason (well. no reason when you consider the behavior of zeus and the ppl zeus tolerates), why aren't u woobifying him instead of the boring bureaucrat kidnapper of the underworld ect ect
