✨✨I made another one guys!! ✨✨(and this time I let the video publish before sticking it up here, so yeah).

For the unaquainted, this is the official start of my series: Turning JJBA characters into WOF dragons. I did a beta run two weeks ago with Shizuka Joestar, but now we're actually hitting up the main JoJos. I'm going to start with each protagonist in order, then I'll cycle back with either JoBros or JoVillains (JoFoes? yeah, i think that's the actual name for them).

I feel like Flameback (Jonathan) turned out worse than Moonflower (Shizuka) in some aspects, and better in others. Like, I think the angle is more unique and it's got a more "realistic background" (i watercolored some mountains and made the sky orange and called it a day), but I feel like I could have made the flame motif stronger (instead of being this nice, but basic gold gradient). The Joestar birthmark being a part of the lineart/not being colored is a mistake. Will I actually color it next time? Maybe! Maybe not! Also, idk if i mentioned this in the Shizuka post, but her Joestar mark is specifically on her flank because one: i thought of it more as of a tattoo she's gotten to "honor her Joestar heritage/feel like she can properly live up to one more") and two: she was facing the right.

I think it's the cheekiest frame I've ever made and I love it. Absolutely stacked for MS Paint (the new version with "layers" and a "co-creator", the latter of which I refuse to use). Ah, valid concerns, so I'll do my best to clarify:

This is for a university class of mine, where we're examining a specific space or subculture in order to answer a larger question that other people could benefit from learning. What I choose to do was study the Odd Squad fandom and the members' engagement as an example in order to determine the impact that PBS Kids has had on people's lives, and then later determine whether and how folks should engage with other publicly funded media services. As far as I know (as this is part one of the project), the research won't be published in any official university documents or studies; it'll be used to supplement a paper I'll submit for a class.

I am aware of the ethical considerations that comes with researching a vulnerable population (ie. minors), and I have set aside a separate set of questions that minors do not get to answer (these questions give me a better sense of what demographics of people have engaged with Odd Squad, but also involve more personal data to be revealed, such as family income, gender, and what state/territory they watched the show, which I decided would not be appropriate for minors to answer.) Additionally, with this questionnaire being done online (and through the less secure format of Google Forms), there isn't much I can do to stop minors (or anyone really) from lying about any information they submit, I've just taken some more steps to mitigate minors from releasing more personal info. I talked this over with my professor, and we agreed that the manner in which I was collecting data was suitable for the assignment while taking in regard the vulnerable population at play. I didn't want to neglect the younger population of the Odd Squad fandom while researching because they're a sizable portion of the community and I feel as if the data wouldn't be as complete or reflective of the thoughts of the population as a whole without any input from them.

Admittedly I made a goof by releasing the form so that it required emails from participants (which wasn't my intention), but that's since been fixed. There is still an option to manually put in any contact info, but it is not a required question.

TL;DR: this is for a university class, my professor and I have agreed on the manner in which i'm conducting research that involves a vulnerable population, and i do not want to cause any harm or harassment to the children.

Thanks for asking, actually, because I think this "official" reasoning statement would put more minds at ease regarding the questionnaire.

Sup; I read your reblog (reply? idk the exact tumblr terminology on this) and I have decided to make responses private. I initially kept them up because I thought it would be interesting for responders to see what others had to say about the show, and have folks see where the general stats were going. Once I'm done collecting results, I might make a little video on the responses in my free time, so if anyone is taking the poll later and still wanted to know what others had to say, I'll probably make an edit that codifies the results and such later on.

Anyhow, thank for wishing me well on my project, it is certainly coming together!
