84 with dilliam?

I enjoyed this one.

trigger warnings for slight mentions of homophobia, and  implied gun violence

Prompt 84: “Don’t tell me to shut up.”

“-dare you put your life in jeopardy like that! You could’ve died, William, and I will not be responsible-” Damien’s voice was high-pitched with distress and fury, and it rang around the empty lobby, seemingly amplified by the Manor’s cavernous ceiling.

William was just as agitated; he paced the floor, his heavy boots thump-thump-thumping over the wood. One of his arms was in a sling, the bandages woven tightly in order to immobilize his shoulder. “I had to save your life, Dames, that shooter was-”

“I had trained bodyguards to protect me!” Damien interrupted. A flush was beginning to creep up his neck, just as it always did when he was upset. “They would have taken care of the shooter just fine, had you not interfered and-” He gestured to William’s shoulder, his face now bright red- “gotten yourself shot!”

    “To protect you!”

“I don’t need you to protect me!” Damien thundered, silencing him. Then, he ran a hand through his hair, smoothing loose strands back into place. “I’d much rather you be alive,” he confessed, “I simply cannot stand to lose a friend.”

William stood there for a moment, his dark eyes narrowed behind his odd spectacles. Then, he spat, “shut up.”

Damien scoffed. “Don’t you tell me to shut up.”

“You know damn well I’m not your friend.” William crossed the room, coming to tower over him. His voice lowered to a whisper. “You know damn well we’re more than just friends. Don’t insult me, Damien.”

“We can’t be more than friends, you know that. Not with-”

“To hell with that!” William snarled, and kissed him.

At first, Damien was shocked; his cane clattered to the floor, instantly forgotten as anger rushed through him. But it faded moments later, and so did his resolve. William’s lips were soft and warm, and Damien found himself melting into them, then into William’s touch as his uninjured arm encircled his waist and pulled him against his chest, easily supporting his weight.

“Now do you see, Dames?” William asked when they broke away, gasping and breathless. “Do you see why I had to interfere? I would take a bullet for you any day of the week. Because I-”

“Don’t. Don’t say it.” Tears welled up at the corners of Damien’s eyes. Spilled over, down his cheeks. “You can’t say it. And you know we can’t be together. I’m the Mayor, Will. A public figure. You and I both, would-”

“I don’t care.” William kissed him again, fiercely this time. “Everyone else can go to hell. Because I love you, Dames,” he said, ignoring Damien’s slight gasp of protest. “And that makes everything else worth it.”

“Then wait.” Damien looked up at him. “Wait until my term as Mayor is done. I can do good work, Will, I know it. But not if …” he trailed off, but William knew exactly what he’d left unsaid.

Not if all they see is my love for another man.

William sighed. Nodded, even as his heart wrenched into two. “I’d wait forever for you, Dames.”

“Thank you.” That was all he said, and he said it simply, avoiding eye contact as he gently pushed the Colonel away, stepping back, wincing before leaning down to retrieve his cane.

No more words were said as he left the lobby, his cane tapping over polished tile.

All the while, William stared after him, his gaze boring into the Mayor’s back and weighing heavily on his heart.

Oof that sick Wilford on hurt and got me thinking. (Feel free to not do this one, I won’t mind :D) but what about a continuation to the next morning where he’s actually a bit sicker to the point he’s too out of it to get out of bed but he doesn’t want to be alone so to get Dark to stay he starts telling him a story. But it’s an old story, one that happened to William, not Wilford, and Dark remembers a time where Damien was taking care of a sick William who happened to tell nearly the same story

Thank you nonnie.

Sorry it took so long

prompt open

Dark looked at Wilford the next morning, watching him. The pink ego was breathing heavily, mouth open slightly as the cold medicine was worn off.

It’s official. Deceit loses everything.

His scooby doo collar,

His hat,

Virgil,

He really needs to keep a closer eye on his stuff.
