Update: I Picked Up The 1st Volume Of Strobe Edge And Decided That It Wasn't The Series For Me, Put It
Update: I picked up the 1st volume of Strobe Edge and decided that it wasn't the series for me, put it back, and went on to peruse through the horror section in my school library
I'm now in my manga/graphic novel reader era. Not that I didn't read manga before but now I'm just looking at my school library's comics and manga collection for some more to read.
(damn I'm soooo happy that my school has manga in an already amazing library, like, my previous school library had one or two cupboards of books worth reading and comics didn't exist there🥹)
What I read so far:
The Rose of Versailles
The Girl from the Sea (Molly Knox Ostertag)
The Prince and the Dressmaker (Jen Wang)
47 Ronin (the graphic novel)
And I plan on reading Strobe Edge soon :)
I only read the 2nd and 3rd graphic novel mentioned because I LOVE stories with plots that I usually don't see. I took the Girl from the Sea because I was pleasantly surprised to see a sapphic book in my (somewhat conservative) library. And the Prince and the Dressmaker is about a prince who loves crossdressing!

How to write IB essays:
As told by my economics teacher when he was telling us how to write our IAs and told is that it would be good for any subject with essay questions.
There are three criteria to achieve:
Evaluate: Evaluations give grades 6-7, with 450 words on it
Apply: Applying knowledge gives levels 4-5, here we should give explanations and if there are any diagrams explain that as well, with 250 words on it
Knowledge: This gives grades 1-3, here we should write down definitions and background information, with a word count of 150 words.
How to write it:
Intro: State and explain the dilemma, justify its importance, and use minor citations.
Body: Here we should show off our knowledge, using definitions, diagrams with explanations of any, basically used to analyse the situation. This analysis is then used to evaluate.
Note: it is useful to underline or highlight important keywords or statements in the assignment or exam paper, it shows where all the work is done and also leaves a good impression on the examiner.
Just thinking about how vandiyathevan said he won't jump into the river if kundavai asked, but jumped into the entire ocean to save arunmozhi varman
agreed the only reason I'm downloading the books and rewatching the movie is because of the women
most relatable character in the movie was Vanthiyadevan, because i too would flirt with every girl in that movie.

"Are we related,” I used to ask; “what can you mean by all this? I remind you perhaps of someone whom you love; but you must not, I hate it; I don’t know you—I don’t know myself when you look so and talk so.” (Sheridan Le Fanu "Carmilla")

"I have said “the nearest inhabited village,” because there is, only three miles westward, that is to say in the direction of General Spielsdorf’s schloss, a ruined village, with its quaint little church, now roofless, in the aisle of which are the moldering tombs of the proud family of Karnstein, now extinct, who once owned the equally desolate chateau which, in the thick of the forest, overlooks the silent ruins of the town." (Sheridan Le Fanu "Carmilla")

"Did you remark what an ill-looking pack of men the servants were?” asked Madame."

“I must tell you my vision about you"

"As we sat thus one afternoon under the trees a funeral passed us by. It was that of a pretty young girl, whom I had often seen, the daughter of one of the rangers of the forest. The poor man was walking behind the coffin of his darling; she was his only child, and he looked quite heartbroken." (Sheridan Le Fanu "Carmilla")
