Summary: When your boyfriend gets your parents arrested the day before Christmas, you kinda need to make new plans or you’ll spend the holiday alone.

“Are you crazy?” Y/n exclaimed with raised arms and an outraged face.

“Between the two of us shouldn’t I be the one questioning your sanity? Considering who your parents are and all.” Jason asked trying to lighten the air between them. Plus he honestly felt bad about what he did.

“Oh hahaha, Jaybird.” She mocked him, calmer now but still upset in her body langue.

“Hey! I thought it was good.” Jay gave her a lopsided smile.

“Jason!” Y/n exclaimed again but not as upset or as loud as before.

“I’m sorry, ok? I didn’t think it was your dad’s shipment I thought it was Blackmasks.” he gave her an apologetic smile. Jason truly did feel bad. Y/n was still giving him a suspicious look. “Hey, I wouldn’t have busted it if I knew it was your dad’s. Not this month.” Jay added with raised hands.

Y/n relented believing he was genuinely sorry. “What am I gonna do now?” Realization hit the young woman then and there. “Frost is in prison. Days at Arkham and mom’s at some blackout site, but not the same one as last time… I’m gonna be all alone with no one on Christmas.”

With seeing how sad his girl had become it only increased his guilt. He recently did wish he could take back what he did last night. Jason approached her rubbing his hands up and down her arms trying to comfort his girl. “You won’t have no one. You’ll have me.”

Y/n shook her head at him. “Nice try, Jaybird. But you promised Bruce, your brothers, and Alfred that you’d be home and spend Christmas with them this year.”

Jay sighed, why’d she have to remember that. “I’m not going to let you be alone on Christmas.”

“An I’m not going to let you skip out on your family.” Y/n stated strongly, her eyes telling him she was not letting him out of his family dinner.

“You are my family too.” Jason moved his hands up to cup her cheeks.

“Same here Jaybird. But I’m not going to let you miss your Wayne Christmas.” She gave him a soft smirk knowing how he still felt about Bruce and his family.

After a moment of silence and a lot of thinking going through Jason’s head, he spoke up. “Come with me.”

Y/n raised her eyebrows in shock. “What?”

“You heard me.” Jay smiled and nodded confidently, with a hint of slyness.

Y/n shook her head ‘no’ again. “Jason, that’s not a good idea. The daughter of the Joker and Harley Quinn in the Batman’s home? Jay, it’s not safe for me.”

“I wouldn’t let Bruce or any of my brothers ever touch you.” he tried to reassure her. They both know this was something that would have to happen at one point. That doesn’t make it any less scary. “Listen to me Y/n. I would NEVER let them lay a hand on you.”

“I know that, and its nice to hear Jaybird. But it also doesn’t make it any less scary for me.” Y/n expressed her anxiousness through her eyes.

“Come on, they’ve been wanting to meet my girlfriend and bugging me about it for ages. I told them you come from a villain family, they just don’t know which.”

“Yeah, well not knowing from which villain family I reside from could be the big problem in this situation.” Y/n raised her eyebrows giving him a tight smile full of sass.

“Please. Please Y/n, let me make this right since I’m the one that ruined your Christmas in the first place.” he begged

“Fine.” She sighed, giving in. On one condition. “But you got to promise me that if it goes south you get me the hell out of dodge.”

“I promise!” Jason clapped. But in the back of his mind, he was thinking and hoping that this Christmas, with his family, turns out okay.

“You ok?” Jason asked opening the door of the car for her and helping Y/n out of the car.

“Honestly? Nervous.” Y/n spoke as he got out and they interlocked their hands walking to the front door of Wayne Manor.

“Don’t worry babe. I got your back.” Jason leaned in pressing a kiss to the top of Y/n’s head.

“I just hope it doesn’t backfire.” she mumbled under her breath.

“Relax.” Jay whispered before knocking on the door. “Alfred.”

“Master Jason. An who might this be?” Alfred asked the tall boy he watched grow up for most of his life.

“This is Y/n. My girlfriend, lover, my life’s only-” Jason pulled her into his side speaking dramatically.

“Ok, ok. Just my name would’ve been fine.” Y/n jumped in cutting him off.

“Oh nonsense, Miss Y/n. Young Master Jason is just expressing how he sees you through his eyes. Nothing wrong with that. It’sactuaclly quite endearing.” Alfred spoke with a kind inviting smile.

“Well anyway, it’s nice to meet you, Alfred.” Y/n smiled at the older man.

“Likewise Miss. Now both of you come in it’s very cold out there.” Alfred stepped aside letting the young couple enter the ginormous manor.

Everything went pretty smoothly. Y/n was introduced to all Jay’s brothers and his father. They all expect Alfred, seemed to be a little wary of her at first. All his brother’s got comfortable pretty quickly. It did seem though that his father was watching her very closely. Maybe he was trying to figure out which crime family she came from or maybe he just didn’t trust her.

After a few hours, Alfred came into the family room telling everyone that dinner is ready. With that, they all moved into the dining room to sit down and eat a lovely Christmas dinner Alfred spent the day cooking. “So Y/n, what do you do?” Bruce asked as everyone started filling up their plates, passing around all the dishes.

“As in?” Y/n asked with a smile but in the back of her mind, she was ready to be on defense.

“Well, my son tells us that you’re from a criminal family. So what part do you play in yours?” He asked well more like stated very bluntly.

“Father!” Damian yelled as the rest screamed

“Bruce!”

“Master Bruce-” Alfred started as well, about to defend the young girl.

“Well, Mr. Wayne. I know how to run every single part of my family’s operation. Do I agree with every single thing they do? No. Do I run parts of my family’s operation? Not all the time. Rarely ever, actually. Just because I’m from acriminal family and I know how to run every part of what they do, doesn’t mean I’m apart of it. Does not mean I want to run it, or join it, or even take over. It just means I know what my parents do and how they do it.” Y/n turned her head to face Bruce who sat at the end of the table. She explained that whole thing looking him directly in the eyes. The whole room went silent.

“That good enough for you Master Bruce?” Alfred asked controlling his expression so she doesn’t smile.

“Merry Christmas, Y/n.” Bruce gave a smile her way. A Bruce Wayne smile, but still.

As everyone went back to eating, Jason grabbed her hand under the table. “I’ll take it.” Y/n leaned in near him and whiphered.

“I love you” Jay smirked, kissing her cheek.

“I love you too.” Y/n smiled and kissed him on the lips quickly before they got back to eating.

After dinner and an hour of just hanging around and talking Jason and Y/n left to go home. After saying their goodbyes.

“So was this a good substitute Christmas?” Jason asked as they headed home in the car.

“Very” she nodded

“Maybe we could do it again next year. Assuming your parents aren’t in some kind of imprisonment.” he suggested

“I think that can be arranged.” Y/n smiled before it turned into a smirk and she continued. “Maybe next year we can tell your family which crime family I’m from since this worked so well.”

Jason’s eyes widened at the thought. “If we do, we may be spending it at yours, not mine.”

“I’m fine with that.” she winked
