i felt like the flirting was soft yet teasing enough for akaashi hehe

“Is that really what I look like when I set?” Akaashi murmured, leaning in even closer than he already had been as he watched the video that was playing on your phone.

“Y-Yes,” you replied quietly, heat creeping up your neck as Akaashi casually slung an arm over the back of your seat. 

“I look horrible,” he said, his nose scrunching up in distaste as you paused the video. 

“You look fine,” you assured him, your gaze briefly flickering to his face before focusing on your phone. Akaashi chuckled, his breath fanning across your face as you pressed play on the video. The two of you watched in silence, watching the last play that Fukurodani had done during their latest practice match. When Bokuto had asked you to record the new move he and Akaashi had been working on, you had expected him to be the one to review the video with you. Instead you were sitting next to the prettiest boy you had ever seen, not that you were complaining. 

The video finished and you tensed up as Akaashi reached out, pressing the replay button before you could put your phone down. You blinked owlishly, resisting the urge to shudder when his fingers brushed against your hand. You turned your head to face him, heat flooding into your cheeks when you realized just how close he was. 

“I just wanna watch it one more time,” Akaashi whispered, his eyes never leaving yours even as the video played. 

“Okay,” you replied, not being able to say anything else due to how nervous you were. You took a shaky breath, trying to calm your racing heart at Akaashi’s close proximity. The distance between the two of you seemed to shrink drastically as Akaashi shifted in his seat, his gaze occasionally dropping to your lips. 

“Hey, hey, hey!”

Looking around your new penthouse apartment, you grin proudly. It wasn’t the fanciest penthouse, nor was it ornamented with an extravagant, glass chandelier but it was simplistic and modern, and far better than your previously grubby apartment. From when you first started out your baking business, you were at the very bottom, in a small and cramped apartment between a neighbour whose baby always managed to cry throughout the entire night and another, who was always getting himself inebriated with a fair number of his rambunctious friends.
