Bug guy I found in my homework from last year

When I look over old art I expect to be proud of how far I've come but then the art I made is actually good and I wonder how I managed to decline
MS paint Basil! I saved the image on a drive after class periods from the school computer and just drew on top of it every chance I had.
After drawing what's on the left a friend suggested adding lips which mildly confused me until he showed me his vision of turning the mouth into an upper lip. It came out alright, but with the consequence of Basil looking literally like Elsa with short hair 😠the atmosphere is really different between the two but I guess both are fine?
