What Is Heket's Relationship With Baabaa's And Narinder's Kids? And How Their First Meeting Did Go?
What is Heket's relationship with Baabaa's and Narinder's kids? And how their first meeting did go?
At first, Heket wasn't too happy to discover that Narinder had kids. She didn't ask who's kids those were, but it wasnt hard to figure that out. She was offended that after having his family die her brother just went on and had kids with that lamb!
I'd say their first meeting didn't go very well. For a good month or so Heket didn't want to see anyone at all. Lamb and Narinder asked the children to leave their aunt be for now, and so they did, still curious though.
The kids were happy to learn the sign language, knowing it would help them communicate with both Heket and Kallamar. Heket was quite surprised to find out the kids were learning it just like everyone else.
It took Heket some time, but eventually she got used to Lamb, Narinder and the children and stopped avoiding them.
It may take her a while to fully forgive Lamb and Narinder, if she ever does, but what happened years ago didn't have anything to do with the children, they weren't responsible for any of that.
The kids remind her of younger Leshy, unknowing of the cruelty of the world, looking at her and her siblings with eyes full of trust, respecting her adult authority.
Belomor asks a whole lot of questions. Heket answers.

Vlastislava asks Heket to play, or well, “show some battle moves”, as she puts it. Heket wouldn't agree to just “play”.

Buyana is, well, just being a toddler. Sometimes Heket spends hours just sitting next to her and watching over her.
The kits, Aym and Baal, aren't big fans of Heket. They see the way Narinder treats her and, even though it's merely with avoidance, they decide not to trust her. When she's left alone with Buyana, one of the kits would come and watch her to make sure she's not doing anything bad.

flying the original character artist flag with pride
because the lamb treats bishops well.
from the player's point of view it is easy to become attached to the most important characters in the game.
however, what reasons does the lamb have, after the extermination of his species, and the plagues cast on the cult?
It's actually quite simple. The lamb is so very tired... And lonely.

It's easy to get lost in it: the fury, the thirst for revenge. But to lamb, it's exhausting. They don't want any more deaths. They're tired and scared and they don't want to end up all alone in their godhood.
The cultists can't bond with the lamb on the same level the bishops could. Mortals' lives are too short, their minds are too small to even begin to comprehend the amount of knowledge that the lamb now posseses, and they were lonely. They wanted someone to properly talk to.
So they used the bishops to replace what was taken away from them — a society. On a long scale it's much easier to coexist with someone who used to be an enemy yet is still there, than to be all by themselves.
Narinder is different and can't exactly fulfill that role, too. It's almost like the lamb considers him to be an extension of themselves — not in a way of disregarding his identity, but simply meaning that they do most things together, make decisions that are mostly the same and they treat each other the same way a couple who had been married for a very long time would.

i need a new brush pen my hand hurts

honestly, i adore it when a writer pulls the rug out from under me so hard i fall smack on my face and don't get up for three days. art exists to allow us to live fully in our emotions, to explore the griefs and delights that we are so rarely afforded in our daily lives and which we are too preoccupied with to process when they happen to us directly. art lets us experience the full range of feelings that make us human, any time we like. isn't that wonderful? isn't that magic?
