For the OC ask meme: 1, 23, 38, 44, 50 :)

I was really surprised when I first saw this. I reblogged that for my own reference, and I honestly didn’t expect anyone to send something in. xD So thank you! Then I had a debate on which character I should actually do. One of my novel characters or an OC? So since you are a DA account I just decided to pick among my six different Inquisitors. (Father in Heaven help me.)

So I finally decided on my male elf.

1. What’s their full name, why was it chosen, and does it mean anything?: His full name is Revassan Terisinelan Lavellan. (Isn’t that a mouthful!) His first name was chosen in the hopes that he would grow up to be a great hunter, a dream that was dashed when his magic first manifested. His middle name is then the same as his father’s. Their meanings would roughly be “free arrow/arrow of freedom,” and “one who created a stone that lights a fire inside.”

23. Do they have a good memory? Short term or long term? Are they better with names or with faces?: Revassan has a great memory when it comes to numbers and dates. He also has a knack for remembering where he left something or places he has been. His long term memory is much better than his short term, and he is better at remembering faces. 

38. What do they admire in others? What talents do they wish they had?:  He has always admired people with integrity, which leads to him to really looking up to Cassandra. Revassan has always wished he could play an instrument. 

44. What is their favorite season? Type of weather? Do they prefer the cold or heat? What weather do they complain about the most?: He loves spring because that was the time of year the halla would have their fawns. (He’s a sucker for baby animals.) His favorite type of weather is a light rain the the evening. The little pitter-patters help put him to sleep. Revassan absolutely prefers the heat, and will complain endlessly about the cold. He keeps four blankets in his bedroom at Skyhold because he hates the chill. (Don’t even get him started about Emprise Du Lion.) 

50. If they could take one bag of stuff somewhere with them: what would they pack? What do they consider their essentials?: First thing he would pack was his staff and plenty of coin. He would then pack a small knife to skin animals with, and a canteen or something similar. He would pack a bedroll as well if he had the space. For him, his staff, knife, and canteen are essential, as he couldn’t survive without them.

Think of all the things going on in Tevinter during DA4. We have the threat of an invasion by the Qun. The Magisterium is full of corruption and mistrust. There are the Lucerni. And of course Solas, who might eventually play a part in the uprising of the elven slaves in the Imperium.

All in all Tevinter’s political instability makes it a house of cards that could collapse at any time - and I’m sure it will. I think we will see Tevinter fall. And Dorian will be right in the thick of it.

And now imagine what it would feel like for his amatus and friends to try to reach him via communication crystal – and all they can hear is silence.
