Tumblr had an "old dogs" setting that reversed the site to pre-Twitter collapse look but they wouldn't let new users have it, so people were selling their old accounts in bidding wars. Staff encouraged this by answering "just buy an old account lol" to an ask. Someone suggested they start selling the old dogs setting to newer users and they did, but buying it deleted your account and had the error message "we fucked it up." I was updated on this in a very rapid fire sense (over the course of a minute) as I kept refreshing my dashboard.

I've noticed that I really enjoy this aesthetic.
