Userstyles to Fix Tumblr's Updates
Since tumblr keeps insisting upon changing things few, if any, people want changed and that tends to lead to some… aesthetically unpleasing results, Stylish has become a necessity to many tumblr users. These are the styles I’ve collected to undo the design team’s questionable choices.
Post Editor Changes:
Tumblr Text Edit Always Visible - does away with the need to highlight text in order to see formatting controls
Tumblr Post Form Tweaks - addon style for the above ‘text edit always visible’ style; attempts to make the edit form look a bit more like it used to
A Readable New Post Page -has comments in the css to guide you through customizing if you’recomfortable with coding; fairly simple but gets the job done in makingthe new post form more tolerable
Post Display Changes:
Tumblr Post Improvements - offers several options, including restoring old read more style and fixing blockquotes among others.
Smaller Text Post Titles - standalone style; does exactly what it says on the tin
Old Style Dashboard Titles - standalone similar to the above style
Fix New Tumblr Font - standalone to get rid of the blurry font tumblr uses now
Old Tumblr Dash Links Style - standalone to fix the horrid, new link style; the author says it bestin questioning the ridiculous choice by tumblr to use a background image for link underlines and ignore that there’s literally two far simplermethods of underlining links that everyone who’s ever touched coding should know
Post/Reblog/Close Swap - standalone style to restore ‘post’ button to the left and ‘close’ button to the right
No Full-Width Posts - restores the old post style as best as possible and applies to all post types; you may need to turn off the option to add padding in the editor as it works a little oddly (give it a shot and see how you feel, basically)
Fix New Tumblr Photo Widths - similar to above, but a bit more complex in some areas and simpler inothers; defintiely worth a try and usually the most-linked version ontumblr
Tumblr Image Width No Rescaling - haven’t tried this one myself, but the most recent review says itworks; it should make it so that 500px or 540px images stay at theirtrue size and don’t get squashed or stretched
Pre Tag Fix - prevents horizontal scroll bar on <pre> elements
Readable Sub & Sup - makes the and elements less tiny
Rebloggable Ask Fixes - general attempt to make the ask style change of 2014 go away and bring a more pleasing aesthetic to ask posts
Rebloggable Ask Fixes (Remix) - my personal fave compared to the one above, but a bit more complex andlikely to break with random tumblr updates; I use this one myself, however, so whenever I notice something broken I try to fix it andpublish an update to the style
Rounder Post Borders - in case you think it’s weird with square-ish borders
Fix Classic Reblog Pages - generally only for the mobile or ‘severely outdated browser’ crowd, since there’s so many issues from useragent masking these days; takescare of some horrible visual and functional flaws caused by tumblrabandoning this post form
Restyle Tumblr Links - gets rid of that horrendous, giant green and returns a more suitable style for dashboard link posts
Significant Dashboard Changes:
No Scrolling Avatars - because motion sickness ain’t fun
Static Tumblr Avatars - similar to the style above; try this if that one’s broken
Tumblr: the Old Design - didn’t try this one since I have others installed, but from a glance at the code it seems to fix some of the recent dashboard changes
Tumblr Dashboard Cleanup - customizable cleanup for several of the crappy changes tumblr’s made lately
Fix Tumblr Header - nobody likes sticky things on their screen ;) the primary function ofthis one is making the header look closer to the old style and stopsticking tot he top when you scroll
Tumblr Sidebar Fix - does away with the flat aesthetic of the sidebar, and offers a few tweaks to make it waste less space
Tumblr Sidebar Fix for Custom Themes - same as above, but made to work with many custom dash themes
Declutter Series: Tumblr - stays as true to the standard tumblr layout as possible while removing annoying clutter
Fix Borders and Header - an alternative to trying to change post styles back; adds padding while keeping the new size of photosets and alters header
Other Dashboard Elements:
Bring Back the Old Tumblr Blue - in case you can’t stand the new background
Remove Blue Bits - if your custom dash theme has random blue gradients popping up all over the place, this might fix it
Rainbow Tumblr Notifications - cycling rainbow colours for the new post and new message bubbles on the dash; haven’t tried this one myself, but it looks fun
Custom Coloured New Post & Mail - colour the bubbles how you see fit!
Remove ‘Buy’ Button on Posts - does exactly what it claims (or it should)
Remove the ‘Explore’ Compass - out of sight and out of mind for those who dislike the ‘explore’ feature
Remove ‘Follow’ Buttons on Posts - makes it harder to accidentally follow people
Hide Reblog ‘Follow’ Button - more aid in avoiding accidental following
Remove Tumblr Web Buttons - hides the ‘web search’ buttons
Tumblr Search is for Tumblr - similar to the above, but uses different coding
Notification Font Size Fix - makes the dashboard notifications less huge
Tumblr Reply Wrap - word wrapping for notifications of post replies
Miscellaneous:
Remove Tumblr 404 Background - to avoid exposure to triggering or just plain annoying, stretched images when reaching the 404 landing page
Hide Tumblr Sponsored Posts - say what you will about ad revenue, but the point remains that there have been cases of triggering images in these sponsored posts and it’s every user’s right to protect themselves; this style helps by removing the sponsored posts from the dashboard feed
Remove Radar on Tumblr - simple way to hide the tumblr radar

Mars Tea - I went All In
A blend of rooibos vanilla, cream, and rooibos almond; with an accent of coconut.
Been noticing this myself. I dunno what can possibly be done about it, though. He’s just went completely silent and it’s been a month.
so I’m kinda concerned for the xkit guy?? he hasn’t posted an update to xkit since january and his personal blog has been dead since november is he okay?? should we be concerned?? miss you xkit guy
I’d like to share this Tumblr tool with everyone. You give it a Tumblr URL, and it identifies the most popular posts (by note count) for each month in your history. It was quite useful for determining which comics to reblog for a “best of” week.
Note: To have it also include posts from 2013, click ‘advanced options’ and use the checkbox for 2013. It’s an old tool, which is a bit embarassing for Tumblr. Why isn’t this functionality built into the Tumblr interface?

Mars Tea - She's a Keeper
A mix of raspberry patch, rooibos vanilla chai, and gunpowder; with an accent of cinnamon.
