Nightpelt deserved so much better, this elder who was neglected by his leader despite already serving his clan for many season and deserving rest and peace, raised up and took the role of leader to save his home clan and clan mates. He then proceeded to be told that, no, he would not get his nine lives because he was too old and that, the leader who caused so much pain, indirectly caused the death of several kits, was still the rightful leader in his ancestors eyes. HE THEN DECIDED TO LIE SO HIS CLAN MATES WOULD BE HAPPY AND CALM, COMPLETELY SHOULDERING THE ENTIRE BURDEN OF THE TRUTH THAT IF HE DIED, WHICH IS PRETTY FUCKING LIKLY, HIS CLAN, HE TRIED SO DESPERATELY TO SAVE WILL YET AGAIN BE LEFT VULRABLE.

What if soulmates in warriors had markings, not every cat with a mate has it of course, just cats who are destined to be together no matter what, but the markings are off the others, example.

Like, say Dovewing and Tigerheartstar, Dovewing has always had this oddly weird marking on her back, almost like teeth and stripes on her back. Like a tiger. At first everyone thought it was an omen, but as time went on it kinda just, faded away.

Tigerheartstar on the other hand has a large mark on his tail and stretching to his back that look like doves wings, they are also stark white which really stand out from his tabby pelt. Only when they got together did everyone realise it was the soulmate markings.

blackstarxsol for hypokits?

Ok you read my mind because I was thinking of Sol right when this ask came in lmaoFoxkit and Sunsetkit were born while Blackstar was still rejecting his Starclan ancestors, and Sol had yet to be chased from Shadowclan. It was clear very early on that Sunsetkit had unusual abilities, being able to predict the cycle of the moon before even leaving the nursery. In fact, she was able to do what Sol claimed he could, except genuinely- as though Starclan were mocking Sol.

 Before they were apprenticed Sol was banished by Hollyleaf, and Foxkit was devastated. His mood didn’t improve when he and his sister became apprentices- Sunsetpaw was training to be a medicine cat and she confessed to Foxpaw that she was having prophetic dreams and speaking to Shadowclan’s ancestors. Foxpaw grew jealous- he had never once spoken with Starclan, and strongly believed that his fathers were right to deny them. 

Foxpaw vanished from Shadowclan before receiving his warrior name, and Sunsetpaw confirmed through her visions that he had left to join his Father Sol as a rogue. (Okay admittedly I got really invested in these two but this post is already long enough so I’ll end their description here lol)
