2020 IS THE BEGINNING OF UNDERTALE

I just wanted to clear up some misconceptions about 2019 being the last year that Undertale could have taken place and that anyone could fall down.

Here we have the opening cutscene, it says 201X. But this isn’t when the events of the game occur.

In the next scene we see a fallen human, but this is not Frisk, this is Chara, the first fallen child. Notice there are no Golden flowers yet to break their fall.

This scene is also continued later during the Asriel fight, and it shows that the human that fell in 201X during the opening cutscene was in fact Chara, not Frisk.

Furthermore, during the Pacifist Route, in New Home there is an OLD calendar from the END of 201X with a date circled on it.

During the Genocide Route when Chara’s personality begins commenting on things, they say “The date I came here.” when you check this calendar. Remember the Dreemurrs lived in the ruins for a time before moving to New Home, and while this date could reference that move, regardless, we can confidently say that Chara fell into the Underground sometime in 201X.

Now here’s the important part:

The dates that the other fallen children and Frisk fell are never explicitly stated in game, but there are some hints as to how long it’s been since Chara died.

After the Asriel fight, he says Chara has been gone for a “long time”.

While sans is talking about practicing knock-knock jokes with Toriel from behind the door, he offhandedly says that it seems like his joke was the best she’s heard in a “hundred years”, and we know how perceptive sans is. Remember, Toriel has been in exile since Chara and Asriel passed and most monsters around now have never seen her.

So in Summary,

Chara fell in 201X, but the other fallen children and the actual events of Undertale as Frisk happen an unknown amount of time after that date, and could easily go into 20XX (or even 21XX if sans remark is anything to go by).

Undertale is just beginning.

Shadics basically look like animals, sometimes a mixture of animals, like, a Shadic can have a wolf like head, but have ears and tail like a panther, or look like a bear but have a long bushy tail. Some look like lizards and dragons, others like mice and otters, but they all have black, shadowy skin that covers them from head to toe. If they have color, then that means they have an elemental power, but th power depends on what patterns of colors they’ll have (ex: Fire elementals have red wisps, normally near their heads or on their necks and arms, water elementals have wavy markings on their sides and claws, plant based elementals have leaf/vine like markings on their upper arms and tails, etc)

Most Shadics range from 6′ all th way up to a total of 8 or 9 feet, but there are th rare short Shadics, who can be about 5 feet in height, and normally, those types look like small animals, like rabbits or lemurs

You mucked the stalls with a single-minded focus, there was only so much time you had before lunging a couple horses, making lunch, and rounding up the wayward skeletons (although, when it came to mealtime they were never once late or absent). Currently, you were still avoiding any meat preparation and not using any knives bigger than a dinky parring knife, so lunch options were limited to that. Grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup sounded great right about now, though. Simple to make, fast prep time, and easy on Anemone’s jaws.

Which, actually, speak of the devil.

The tiny fine hairs of the back of your neck prickled and a little shiver racked up your spine. You were being watched right then, and a glancing over to the semi-reflective pail hanging on the stall walls. None of the usual suspects, normally Dahlia or Chrysanthemum, were standing obviously in the pole barn with you, so that would mean…

The nearby haystack never looked so ominous before. Setting the pitchfork firmly into the dirt floor so you could stretch out you back, you leaned against the handle. You turned your head to the left and properly looked at where you suspected your watcher was lurking. Play it cool, he’s just visiting, maybe even a little curious, be kind, you thought before asking gently, “It’s about time I took a break, do you want to share some sweets? I would like the company, I think.”

A skull popped out suddenly from the hay and you tensed, the only thing you could do was close your eyes and breathe. Inhale slowly, hold for four, and let it out. You’re fine. Lazily opening them again, reveals exactly who you thought it might be. Anemone, eyelights fizzling and tiny sputtering things, his teeth bared in warning —

Oh, he was unsettled. Right. You called out on a hunch after a bunch of clues and from his perspective it was out of nowhere, somehow divining he was there after no tells to his presence… Well, not your fault living in the woods where a mountain lions stalked and skittish horses kicked tuned your sense to a fine edge. You kept your distance out of respect and, making sure to telegraph your movements, took of your work gloves before digging out some sugar cubes out of your pocket. You offered a handful.

Anemone stared. His eyelights were always flickering, fuzzy things but seemed to lose the tightly bound appearance from earlier, the right one cautiously lengthening. He didn’t move, despite having shown his sweet-tooth cravings many a time before. He wanted those sugar cubes, but less than he distrusted you not trying to pull something.

They can look like animals, such as spiders, or they could have fluffy ears, yet have a spiky tail, but if they have wings, they have bad wings, unless they are hybrids of a race called Brinic (which i will post one later)
