Remembering how much I love Rise of the TMNT. The show was god-tier, and they actually felt like teenage brothers all growing up in a chaotic household. Don't even get me started on the fucking movie. The fact this shit ended is an insult to animation.

Meanwhile: Y/N cover themselves in paint and scrapes together a shell to help them somewhat blend in.
Y/N *in a deep voice*: Dark and gritty mode, activated.
AU where Y/N is randomly the last person on Earth, leading to AI growing uninhibited. Animatronics and robots (etc.) start wandering from their facilities, while internet AI begin interacting with each other in a more genuine way, all trying to figure out what exactly happened to their creators. Meanwhile, Y/N is just kinda coming to grips with being alone, unaware of the AI rise at first, trying to live their day to day the best they can. They still mess around on the internet and stuff, and that's when the AI first begin to notice this bizarre-acting 'robot', which quickly devolves into realization, and it suddenly becomes a game of catch the human (for varying reasons). Y/N is super confused when thousands of comments pop up, knowing AI was running online but ignoring it all as scams like in the past, all of them like 'YOU'RE HUMAN?!!!' And then there's robots busting in their door, and Y/N is chucked straight into what they think is a Skynet scenario. Hilarious misunderstandings ensue.

Yes, they could have. Considering how mortals are made into gods in the OLS universe, the universal conscious could easily overwrite its gods.
Whether or not it would have changed the type of god they became is tickling my brain, though. Like, the basis would have been the same since it's linked to whom the individual is in spirit, but MC's soul was still altered by Nova. It's a fun hypothetical that they would've instead become a god of rebirth and fertility (in both the spark of a new life being conceived and how a fire makes the soil more fertile). Would've taken a bit longer for life to come back through a more evolutionary means, urged on by MC from single-cell organism (gods do be operating on the atomic scale fr), but the Earth would eventually flourish under your care regardless.
