A Sort OfResurrection

A Sort of Resurrection

Warning: Death

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*Your POV*
Running. Running until your legs felt like they were on fire. Running to the brink of exhaustion. Running in a desperate attempt to reach safety in time. You felt one hit your arm, causing you to yell out in pain. Gritting your teeth, you kept running towards safety.
You had been given the task of making sure all of the enemy agents had been wiped out of the base, before returning to the Quinjet and rejoining the group. You were originally paired up with Tony, but he had to leave to go and help the others. It was all going well, until you realised that you had run out of bullets and there was still about 10 enemy agents left. You knew that your hand-to-hand combat wasn’t up to scratch, so you decided to run back instead of facing certain death.
You could see the rest of the team in the distance, yelling at you to hurry up and run faster. You pushed your legs as hard as you could, until you didn’t even think about making yourself run. A surge of energy went through you and you were almost at the jet, when you heard a single gunshot from behind you, making you freeze. You looked down at you previously white shirt, now with a crimson colour seeping through from your back.
Your vision started to blur, and you collapsed on the ground, your head pounding and your breathing slowing rapidly. You heard the shouts of your team and saw their blurry figures running towards you, reaching you in mere seconds. You felt someone lift your head up and rest it on their lap, the others crowding around you with tears in their eyes.
You smiled at them all gently, before your eyes shut, your head rolling to the side, your chest ceased to rise and you were enveloped by darkness, the sound of sobbing being the last thing you hear.
                                                     **********
Your eyes snapped open, and you found yourself in an empty, dimly lit room.
“Hello?” You called out. “Is anybody here?” Your voice echoed around the room, but there was no reply. You wandered around, looking for any possible exit, when the wall shimmered and a door appeared on the opposite side of the room.
You cautiously made you way over to it, gripping the cold handle and slowly pulling it open. You looked through the door and saw some sort of swirling grey-blue vortex. You stuck your hand through it, pulling it back towards you when it disappeared from sight. You glanced around the room again to see if there were any other exits, but this seemed to be the only one.
Taking a deep breath, you closed your eyes and stepped into the vortex.
                                                    **********
You woke up to the distant sound of yelling and you blinked slowly, your eyes adjusting to the light. You slowly pushed yourself up into a sitting position and looked around. You recognised your surroundings; you were in the end section of the medical bay, which was more commonly used as the morgue. It was deserted and you turned so that your legs were dangling off the side of the bed. You slowly stood up, flinching slightly as your feet touched the cold floor, using the bed as a support and tentatively took a few steps forwards.
After a few more steps holding onto the bed, you gently released your grip and made your way to the door, deciding to go to your room and put on some socks before you went to find out what the argument was about.
As you made your way towards your room, you were surprised to find that the usually busy corridors were empty. You went into your room and grabbed your fluffy socks and put a hoodie on over your sleeveless top. You brushed your hair a bit, before you were satisfied and decided to make your way to the source of the argument.
As you got closer to the common room, you could hear multiple voices shouting, insults and accusations being thrown around. When you were just down the hall, you could clearly hear what the argument was about.
“IT’S YOUR FAULT STARK! YOU LEFT HER WITH NO BACKUP!”
“IT’S NOT MY FAULT THAT SHE RAN OUT OF BULLETS! SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE OTHERWISE!” You heard other voices adding in reasons why the others were to blame, when you realised what they were arguing about. You. Specifically, your death.
You quietly padded your way down the rest of the corridor and peered into the room. You were greeted with the sight of the rest of the team with bloodshot eyes and looks of pure hatred present on their faces. They were standing opposite each other, shouting right in the faces of the person opposite them.
You coughed, trying to get their attention, but they weren’t listening, they were too caught up in shouting. You tried again, but to no avail. You sighed and rolled your eyes and cleared your throat, before taking a deep breath.
“EVERYONE SHUT UP!” You yelled as loud as you could. Everyone’s heads snapped towards you and their mouths dropped open.
“Y-Y/N?” Steve asked quietly in disbelief.
“The one and only.” You replied with a smile. There was a stunned silence, everyone staring at you like you were a multicoloured unicorn with a rare Pokémon on your head.
“Wow guys, I’m really feeling the love here.” You joked, trying to lighten the mood. Suddenly, you were enveloped in a bone-crushing hug from a crying red-head, shocking you slightly, before you hugged her back just as tightly.
“We- We thought you were dead!” She said in between sobs.
“So did I.” You mumbled. Suddenly she pulled away and smacked you on the arm.
“Hey! What was that for?” You pouted, rubbing your arm.
“Don’t you ever do that to me ever again, got it?” You nodded before looking around at the others who were all staring at you with a mixture of confusion and happiness in their eyes. You just smiled and opened you arms for a group hug, breaking the spell.
They all ran towards you and you were pulled into a massive group hug of crying superheroes, the argument long forgotten. You sighed happily, a few tears of your own sliding down your face, and you wrapped your arms around the closest person to you, who happened to be the usually emotionless archer. When you were finally released, you wiped your tears off your face and smiled.
“So then, who’s up for some Shawarma?
Almost had us worried there
*Your POV*
Usually, running the maze was no problem for you. Today, however, you found yourself sprinting through the maze, skidding around corners, trying to get back to the glade before the doors close.
You had just finished your lunch and walked around the first corner, getting ready to run again, when you stumbled across a sleeping griever. You would have managed to get away, but as you were backing away slowly, you tripped over a rock and fell to the ground with a thud.
The griever sprung up and started coming towards you. Taking that as your cue to leave, you ran as fast as you could through the maze, trying to lose it.
Eventually you had managed to trap it and you pulled out your knife and threw it at the griever. It let out a loud hiss and fell to the ground.
You glanced down at your watch to see how long you had until the doors close. A wave of panic spread over you, when you realized that you only had 6 minutes and you were at least 10 minutes away from the doors.
Not wanting to risk getting trapped, you quickly started running, faster than you’ve ever run before in an attempt to get back to the glade.
You were almost at the doors, when a loud rumbling noise caused the walls to start shaking. You turned the corner and saw the rest of the gladers waiting for you by the doors.
Hearing their shouts of encouragement, you somehow managed to speed up, causing a burning sensation to erupt through your legs. Still, you kept running until you were a few steps away from the glade. With one final push you fell into the glade, seconds before the doors closed.
The gladers crowded around you as you lay face down on the ground. You let out a sigh of relief and rolled over onto your back.
“Y/N? What the bloody hell happened? You almost got trapped!” Newt exclaimed.
“I was running… there was a griever… I threw my knife at it…” You said, still slightly out of breath.
“A griever? What the shuck was a griever doing roaming around the maze before the doors closed?” Minho asked, pulling you up.
“It was asleep, but I woke it up when I fell over.”
Minho let out a laugh and threw his arm around your shoulder.
“Well at least you made it back. You almost had us worried there.”
Flower crowns
Your job in the glade is helping Frypan with the cooking, meaning that you find yourself with a lot of free time during the day.
Today, you find yourself with 2 hours before your next job. Wandering around the glade, you stumble upon a large patch of flowers. An idea springs into your mind. You sit down, smiling to yourself and start picking flowers and threading the stems together.
After making 3 flower crowns, you realise that if you’re going to make flower crowns for all the gladers, you will need a basket. Running into the Homestead, you find a basket with assorted objects in it. You tip the contents of the basket onto the floor and run back to the flower patch.
An hour and a half later, you finish your last flower crown and put it on your head. Brushing yourself down, you stand up and skip towards the kitchen with the basket on your arm.
Making your way towards the sink, you pick one of the flower crowns out of your basket and put it on Frypan’s head. He turns around and looks at you, confused.
“What did you just put on my head?” He asks. You smile and giggle slightly.
“It’s a flower crown Fry. I’ve made one for everyone!” He shakes his head and smiles.
After you finish cooking, the gladers all line up, waiting to get their food. As Frypan gives them their food, you put a flower crown on their head, recieving a few strange looks. You keep doing this until all of the gladers are wearing flower crowns.
You go and sit down at a table with Newt, Chuck and Winston after putting the serving equipment back in the kitchen.
“Nice to know that you spend your free time usefully, Y/N.” Newt says, nodding at the flower crowns and smiling.
“I would like to say that I do spend my time well Newt.” You reply, smiling and you start eating your food.
A few hours later, you go over to the maze doors with your last 2 flower crowns. One for Minho and one for Thomas.When they come jogging into the glade, you walk up behind them and place the flower crowns on their heads.
“How do I look Thomas? Am I beautiful now?” Minho jokes, pretending to flick his hair over his shoulder. Thomas stares at him in surprise and you burst out laughing.
“I think you look fabulous Minho.” You reply, seeing as Thomas is still staring at Minho like he has three heads. You decide that now would be a good time to leave and head back towards the Homestead. You get inside, but not before hearing one last remark from Minho.
“You see Thomas? Y/N knows how to treat a guy!”
Don't you dare throw that- Damn it! - Liam Dunbar
Requested by Anonymous: Prompt 11 with Liam?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

*Your POV*

It was a sunny Saturday in Beacon Hills, the first relaxed weekend the pack had in a long time. You were in your kitchen, browsing over different cupcake recipes, trying to decide on which one to make. Your boyfriend Liam was on his way over, having texted you a few minutes earlier, informing you of his visit.

After finally deciding on a chocolate chip cupcake with vanilla icing, you set about getting the ingredients and starting to weigh them out. When everything was ready, you started to work as quickly as you could without spoiling them. You knew that once Liam arrived, the chances of you actually doing anything productive, let alone remotely baking related were extremely slim, so you were trying to do as much as possible before he arrived.

Just as you were mixing it all together in the bowl, you heard the sound of a lock clicking and a door opening, signalling Liam’s arrival. Once he replaced the spare key in the hanging flower basket by your door, he entered the house, closing the door behind him.

“I’m here!” He called out to you, making sure that you were totally aware of his arrival.

“I’m in the kitchen.” You replied, still mixing the cupcake mixture. You heard him walking into the kitchen, and felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist a few moments later.

“What are you making? He asked, leaning forwards to taste some of the mix.

“I’m trying to make cupcakes.” You said, swatting his hand away from the bowl.

“What for?” He asked, trying again from the other side, only to receive the same result.

“I just wanted to do something that normal people do for once, instead of running around after werewolves and various other supernatural creatures.” You explained, opening the cupboard to get a baking tray out. Using this to his advantage, Liam quickly stuck his finger in the mix and, trying to be subtle, but failing horribly.

“Liam! They’re not even in the oven yet!” You exclaimed, scooping a handful of flour out of the bag and throwing it at his stomach. His eyebrows shot up.

“So that’s how you want to play it.” He smiled, grabbing a handful of the mix and throwing it at you. You squealed and ducked, making the mix fly over your head and hitting the cupboards behind you. You grabbed the bag of chocolate chips and started pelting him with a continuous stream of them. You turned around to find something else to throw at him, when you heard him laugh evilly. Turning around, you saw that he had picked an egg out of the container and was smirking at you.

“No no no!” You exclaimed, trying to find something to defend yourself with. “Don’t you dare throw that-” You were cut off by the egg colliding with your body, cracking and soaking your shirt. “Damn it!”

An idea popped into your head, and you smiled to yourself. You grabbed the bowl of mixture from the counter and ran over to the fridge, pulling it open. You grabbed random things, such as chilli, cream, olive oil and grapes and dropped them all into the bowl, creating a disgusting brown coloured mixture. You smirked and started walking towards him slowly.

He saw the bowl full of the slimy substance and a look of horror appeared on his face. He started to back away, until his back hit the wall.

“Have I told you how much I love you today? Because I really do.” He laughed nervously, trying to stop the possibility of having a mixture of whatever you had found in your fridge poured on him.

“I love you too Liam, but you’re not getting out of it that easily.” You smiled sweetly, before tipping the contents of the bowl over his head, laughing. His look of disgust and horror made you laugh harder, until you saw him spread out his arms and made his way over to you, before enveloping you in a very sticky bear hug. You squealed and tried to push him off you, but gave in and sighed happily.

When he finally let you go, you looked around the kitchen and sighed.

“This is going to take ages to clean.”

It's an old trick - Liam Dunbar

Requested by Anonymous: ‘Could you please do an imagine where the reader is Liam’s girlfriend and she’s a computer hacker and no one knows until they have to hack into something and the reader shows off her hacking skills and they are all impressed.’

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You’re on your way home from school when your phone starts ringing. You pull it out of your pocket and hold it up to your ear, without looking at who it is.
“Hello?”
“Hey Y/N.”
“Oh, hey LiLi! How can I help?” You ask, recognising your boyfriend’s voice almost instantly.
“Can you come over to Lydia’s quickly? We’ve found out about a load of files and we need everyone there.”
“Sure thing, I’ll be there in a minute.” You reply, then hang up.
After sending a message to your mum to tell her that you’re at a friend’s house, you set off towards Lydia’s house, where you find the rest of the pack when you arrive.
“Hey guys. What’ve I missed?” You asked, putting your bag down and walking over to them.
“Well, there’s good news, and there’s bad news.” Stiles said.
“Isn’t there always.” You mutter quietly to yourself, momentarily forgetting that most of the pack can hear you and receiving a few smiles.
“The good news is we’ve found some files that contain all of the information we need.” Scott says.
“And the bad news?” You ask, coming up with possible replies in your head.
“They’re all heavily protected and none of us can hack into them.” Lydia finishes.
“I can try.” You offer, deciding it was pointless to keep your skill hidden any longer.
“Look, we appreciate the offer, but I don’t think your computer skill are quite at this level yet Y/N.”
You laugh slightly and gently nudge Lydia off the seat. You sit down and crack your knuckles.
“Let’s see then…” You mutter, clicking around the page. After a few seconds, you start typing quickly on the keyboard.
“Y/N, what are you-” Liam starts to ask, but you stop him by holding up a finger, your gaze not moving from the screen.
5 minutes later, you unlock all the files and sit back in the chair, smiling to yourself. You turn around to see the pack staring at you in a mixture of shock and awe.
“How did you do that?” Kira asks in amazement.
“It’s an old trick I picked up when I was 8. It’s actually quite easy when you know what you need to do. It’s just a matter of figuring out what kind of firewall it is.” You reply, smirking slightly.
“Well, that’ll be useful in the future.” Stiles says. You laugh gently, when you feel a pair of arms wrap around your shoulders.
“That was amazing.” Liam says, smiling.
“Why thank you Liam.” You reply smiling. “Now, if you don’t mind, I need to get back home, I’m on babysitting duty tonight.” You say, standing up.
The pack just nod, and you press a quick kiss to Liam’s cheek before giving everyone a two-fingered salute and leaving.
Almost died of worrying
*Your POV*
After getting an almost unintelligible phone call from your heart-broken best friend, you found yourself walking to her house with a bag of sweets, films, chocolate, blankets, ice cream and other junk food.
When you arrived, you reached under the doormat and picked up the spare key. Unlocking the door, you stepped inside.
“(Y/B/F/N)?” You called out. You hear a muffled noise coming from upstairs. Bringing your bag with you, you make your way up to your friend’s room. You push the door open and find her lying face-down on her bed. You drop you bag to the floor and sit down on the bed next to her. When you do this, she sits up and you see the makeup running down her face.
You pulled her in for a hug, rubbing her back and quietly muttering words of comfort. After a few minutes of doing this, you pulled back and reach into your bag, pulling out her favourite film and a tub of ice cream. She smiled weakly at you and lay down on the bed as you put in the DVD.
**********
*3rd person POV*
After recent threats from various assassins regarding the Dead Pool, the pack were on high alert. Any time anyone went anywhere, at least one other member of the pack went with them and the other members of the pack knew about it, in case they were missing.
So, when Y/N hadn’t turned up at the pack meeting, after half an hour the pack were immediately assuming the worst and panicking.
“Why isn’t she answering her phone?” Stiles asked, biting his nails as Scott tried again in vain to get in contact with her.
“It’s ok guys, she’s probably just busy, that’s all.” Lydia suggested, trying to reassure herself more than anyone else.
After 5 more minutes of waiting, Stiles stood up and went over to the door and flung it open, receiving a few startled and questioning looks from the rest of the pack.
“I’m gonna go and see it she’s at home.” Stiles explained, as if he was talking to babies. Scott stood up and joined him, and together they quickly made their way to Y/N’s house.
After knocking repeatedly on the door, they were greeted by Y/N’s slightly disgruntled mother.
“Hello boys,” she said, “can I help?”
“We were just wondering if Y/N’s home.” Scott asked, flashing a smile.
“No, she left about half an hour ago. She ran out, saying it was very important and she would see me later. Sorry boys.” Your mum replied, causing Scott and Stiles’ faces to drop.
Scott forced a smile. “That’s fine, thank you.” The door shut and the boys looked at each other with worried expressions on their faces. When they got back to the others, they shook their heads. This made their nervousness increase, an atmosphere of sadness and worry creating a sad silence.
One by one, the pack slowly fell asleep, fear of what could have happened to Y/N present on all of their minds.
**********
*Your POV*
You looked over at your friend, to find her asleep on her bed. You smiled gently, slowly gathering your belongings and quietly exiting the room, shutting the door behind you. You let yourself out of the front door, and started walking home. As you walked past Scott’s house, you realised that there had been a pack meeting that you had missed that afternoon. You looked through the window and saw the pack all asleep in various places in the living room.
You decided to let them know you were ok, so you went up to the door and rung the doorbell. After a few moments, it opened to reveal a sleepy Scott rubbing his eyes. When he moved his hands away and looked at you, a mixture of surprise and happiness appeared on his face, as he pulled you in for a hug, catching you off guard. When he finally let go of you, he looked at your bag with a questioning look.
“Where were you Y/N? We were so worried!”
“I was looking after Y/BFF/N, she just went through a really bad breakup and needed help.” You explained. A look of relief spread across his face.
“We all thought something bad had happened to you. You weren’t picking up your phone.”
“I dropped it in a puddle a few days ago and it short-circuited or something, so my mum took it to be repaired today. Anyway, I’m fine, so it’s all ok.” You smiled. Scott let out a gentle sigh and nodding his head.
“Let’s wake the others, they’re all still here.” A mischievous smile spread across your face.
“Scott? Do you still have that air horn from April Fools?”
“Yeah, why?” He asked, looking confused.
“I think these guys need a little ‘help’ getting up.” Scott laughed slightly.
“You never change.” He muttered, running up to his room and grabbing the air horn, returning moments later, holding the horn out to you. You put your bag down gently and tiptoed into the living room. You held out the air horn with one hand, covering your closest ear with the other, before squeezing it, causing a loud screeching noise to erupt from it, jolting everyone awake.
“JESUS!” Stiles exclaimed, shooting up from the seat.
You laughed. “Nope, just me!” Hearing your voice demolished any remaining sleepiness as a happy and relieved look crossed everyone’s faces. Well, almost everyone’s face. Stiles was the exception, a glare appearing on his face as he picked up the closest thing to him, which happened to be the TV remote, and threw it at you. You ducked right before it would have hit you and turned to Stiles in shock.
“What the hell Stiles?!”
“Do you have any idea the amount of stress you caused young lady?” Stiles sassed with a hand on his hip. “I almost died from worrying!” You, along with the rest of the pack started at him in amusement.
“I don’t think you can actually die from worrying, but whatever you say Stiles.” You laughed.
“I’m very good at doing things that other people can’t. It’s a talent.” Stiles joked, a smile on his face.
“That’s true. Well, I’m gonna head home now so that I can get some sleep before the chemistry test tomorrow.” You announced, heading towards the door.
“Wait, we have a chemistry test tomorrow?” Stiles asked in horror. You laughed and went towards the door.
“See you tomorrow!” You said and left. As you went past, you looked through the window to see Stiles banging his head on the wall and the others laughing at him.
