Here's a prompt!

Hero and Villain are roommates in college, and act like American college students you'll see on the internet. Basically, they are Chaotic Neutral when at home and on campus and are pretty much best friends, however turn into Lawful Good and Lawful Evil as soon as they get to work, each just doing the hero/villain jobs as side hustles (that pay would definitely get them through college)

One day, the teams of both try to track the enemy team, and are throughly shocked to find the two laughing and hanging out vs. basically at eachothers throats like they are at work.

Bonus points if Hero and Villain spot the teams spying on them, and decide to make out infront of them because why not?

Sorry if it's too specific or doesn't make sense!

To the Letter of the Law

~~

They were being watched.

Hero tried to keep their walk at what could be considered a normal pace as they made their way back to their table. They kept their eyes steadily fast on their coffee, trying not to look at the group stalking their roommate, Villain, from across the coffee shop. And when they came to the table and pulled out their chair, Villain’s eyes shot up, analyzing who was there before realizing it was Hero, and going back to their phone.

“You’re being watched.” The criminal raised a brow, but didn’t make eye contact, continuing to type away on their phone. So, Hero contiued. “I think it’s my team. I can definitely make out Superhero, Teammate, and Leader, but I can’t say for sure on the other one.” Three of the four people were wearing poorly thought out disguises, the fourth wearing a hoodie that was shadowing a good portion of their face. Villain nodded slowly as Hero sat down.

“Supervillain has been watching you.”

“What?”

“Don’t look,” They ordered sharply. “Look at me, and think. Why are they after us, and how do we lose them?”

And idea popped into Hero’s head and they smiled, one of those dangerous, spontaneous things. It was one of those smiles that came with an idea that was often crazy- chaotic- some would say. It often ended with something wild or bordering illegal. “I know how we can get them to stop following us~”

Villain looked up. Hero had their attention. Good. Now to put that acting minor to the test.

“But, before I tell you I need your opinion on something. I was thinking about going to work a few hours early today, what do you think?”

“So early in the evening? You must be crazy.” Villain was confused yes, but it was all part of Hero’s plan.

“I was thinking if I start my shift early I could be back to the dorms earlier, and then we could study for that big test coming up.”

“Yeah, that’s a goo- wait, what test?!”

“The one on Thursday? Ya’know, the one worth ten percent of our trimester grade?”

All color drained from Villain’s face, eyes nothing but pure unadulterated fear. “Y-You’re kidding, right? Hero, tell me your joking.”

Hero changed their face to mirror Villain’s. They whispered. “You didn’t study either?”

Villain shot out of their seat in an instant, grabbing their coffee and Hero’s hand before rushing across the courtyard.

“Forget our jobs, we aren’t failing that test. Come on.”

“What about-“

“I am not. Failing. That. Test. Let’s go.”

Where were they going?

Supervillain watched their target as they were dragged out of the cafe and out of sight. They didn’t get up right away, but watched as four people rose from a corner booth and followed them out. Three of them wore woefully horrid disguises, fake mustaches and one a goatee, wearing matching trench coats to go with it.

The fourth, noticeably shorter than the rest, wore plainclothes with a hood that covered part of their head. They trailed behind the three quietly, searching for watching eyes. Their eyes locked for the briefest of moments, before the other turned away. That one, at least, acted like a teenager. Afraid of eye contact.

Supervillain trailed the oblivious group across the courtyard and through the streets, until they came to a stop outside an apartment structure. They stayed a small distance away, even as the disguises came off. Leader, Superhero, and Teammate…their identities didn’t really surprise Supervillain. The teen must have been Sidekick then. The group must have been watching Hero too. Or perhaps, were they watching Villain? It didn’t matter. They were still going to do their job. If they could just- Hold on, what?

The heroes really brought binoculars? What was this, a tv show stakeout? Oh come on, how stupid could these heroes be? Alright, it was time to intervene.

~~

“-both law students, I never would have guessed.” Leader mumbled under their breath as they looked over the files.

“I would have,” a new voice cut in. Leader turned to see Supervillain strolling up to them. “It’s an obvious answer, is it not? They both follow the rules, even if Villain has an… interesting way of doing it, wouldn’t you agree?” The supervillain continued speaking, but Leader wasn’t listening. Of all all the people-

“Leader, you um, might want to take a look at this…” The binoculars were handed to them.

“Are they…?”

“Yup.”

It wasn’t just that they were kissing, or that they were both shirtless. It wasn’t that one of them was pinned to a wall, or that the same one was blushing a deep red. It was the gesture they were making, pointed in the group’s direction. They knew. They both knew. But how did they know?

The kid huffed out a laugh beside Leader. Wait.

“Sidekick!” Three hands flew to cover the kids’ eyes, but it was far too late. “Alright, I think it’s time to go.”

“Well then,” the supervillain cleared their throat and stood, failing to hide the redness of their face. “I think today has been eventful. See you guys next week.”

It was safe to say both parties were off campus within 10 minutes.
