Guide My Knowledge.

“Guide my knowledge.”

A sigil for help on exams or other assignments when you are asking for guidance more than luck. Best if written on your pencil or pen and charged the day before you need to use it!

Some Fun Ways to Activate a Sigil

Water:

Draw the sigil in citric acid (non toxic, you can buy it at the grocery store) and spray/flick water into it. This will make it fizz

Water activated ink - buy paper that has water activated ink and as you draw the sigil will be charged

Fire:

Fourth of July Sparkler Sticks - draw the sigil in the air and imagine its energy being released as the smoke dissipates

Black Snake Fire Work: This one you’ll need to be very very careful with. Basically, as this burns it creates a bunch of weird black gunk that slowly grows, kind of like a snake shedding its skin. You could draw the sigil with some of the ingredients before lighting it off. (Good for curses or getting rid of negative energy)

Earth:

Carve a sigil into a block of clay before molding it into a sculpture. As you mold it it will activate.

For a simple, long term sigil: plant very small succulents in the outline of your sigil and as they grow it will be activated.

Air:

Draw your sigil into the fog on a mirror or shower wall and as it dissipates it will activate (good for glamours, self-love magic)

Other:

I love incorporating science experiments into my craft, so you could draw your sigil in baking soda and activate it with vinegar (this one would also be good for curses or banishings as vinegar is traditionally used in such magic.)

These are just a few fun ideas, and can be used to make a larger ritual out of creating and activating sigils.

What are some fun ways you like to activate your sigils?

Rest (Pokemon Inspired Spell)

A spell to bring you a deep, refreshing sleep.

Rest (Pokemon Inspired Spell)

You will Need:

Moonstone Gem Elixir (safely made see below)

Chamomile Tea

Moon Water (see below)

(Optional) Almond Milk

Preparation:

Moon Water: Take a jar of water and leave in the window over night to charge with the energy of the moon. You may do this no matter the weather outside.

Moonstone Gem Elixir: You cannot make direct gem elixir using moonstone. Moon stone is toxic containing aluminum and it also loses its luster when submerged in water. You will have to make indirect gem elixir. To do this take your moon water you made above and keep it in its jar. Place a piece of moonstone atop the lid of the jar and away from any water. Leave it in the window. You may do this simultaneously with making the moon water.

Steps:

Take your indirectly made Moonstone Gem Elixir and boil it or heat it in any way that you usually prepare tea.

Add your chamomile tea and make it as you normally do. Pour a small amount of your almond milk (if you choose) to further promote sleep.

Stir the tea clockwise chanting “Bring me rest, bring me sleep” until satisfied.

Sit in a quiet space and drink your tea. If you choose listen to relaxing music. Once you finish your tea go immediately to sleep.

Notes: any left over gem elixir store in the fridge. Be sure to cleanse and charge your moonstone in the window after making the gem elixir.

Knitting Spell (for protection)

This poem/spell came to me earlier while I was cooking, and I hurried to write it down. I knit, but I think anyone who knits, crochets, embroiders or does some other kind of fibercraft can use this. I tried not to use language specific to knitting. I would envision the person the handmade item is intended for, wearing the thing, its protection forming a web around them, as you chant:

May this garment be as armor

a shield against the woes of life.

Bring peace and steadiness of mind,

snatch good fortune into your loops

even as I weave you.

Give him/her/them shelter from the winds

the biting rain and cold,

and bring him/her/them back, as day ends

to the warmth of home.

You could add a line or two, invoking a protective deity or spirit (especially one associated with crafts). I feel that it would be most effective or most appropriately used as you’re starting a project, though you can repeat the chant continuously and meditate on your loved one.
