A/N: Based off this little post of mine. I wrote this for a friend so sorry it’s not got y/n in it

To say this week had been bad would be an understatement. It was beyond bad, you’d honestly say it was the worst week of your life so far. It had started out with you forgetting to put your work uniform in the dryer Sunday, so come Monday morning you were met with a damp and slightly musty uniform. That in turn had caused you to be late to work that morning. Then on Wednesday you couldn’t seem to get anything right, forgetting what food went to what table, dropping more than one plate of food, and to top it all off you got horrible tips. Friday was just the cherry on top of your shitty of a week sundae. As you came in for your shift, which was the shittiest one, closing shift, your boss called you to the back only to tell you that you were fired. No explanation other than that you were no longer employed there. You weren’t really that upset about getting fired because to be honest the job sucked, but it really didn’t help your already shitty week. All you really wanted to do was be at home, cuddled up with Luke on the couch. Entering the front door the sound of a soft melody filled your ears. Kicking off your shoes you made your way to the back of the house. Luke’s grand piano was sat in the middle of the room. He didn’t see you enter the room and take a seat on the couch near the piano. There was something about watching Luke play piano or sing that instantly calmed you. The way his fingers danced across the keys or how his curls fell around his face and he’d blow them out of the way. He soon noticed you were sitting there admiring him and a smile made it’s way onto his face.

“Hey baby.” Luke said, still continuing to play some kind of soft melody. You smiled at him, not wanting him to stop for a conversation. But Luke knew you too well and his fingers stopped pressing the keys. “Cale, what’s wrong?” He abandoned the piano stool and sat down next to you on the couch. Arms already finding their way around you.

“Had a shitty week and got fired today,” Luke went to say something but you continued before he could finish. “but it’s whatever. It was a shit job anyways and I really just want to sit here and watch my favorite boy do what he loves.” Luke pressed his lips against your temple, his thumb tracing small circles onto your arm.

“I’d play you a whole concert if that’s what would make you happy.” Luke said, sitting back down at the piano. “Any requests?”

“Play anything you want.”

He began to play some sort of tune and then came the lyrics, lyrics that put the biggest smile in your face.

“I really like that one, is it going on the next album?” You asked, feeling better already.

“Oh yeah, but only on the target edition.” He said, giggling.

“Well i guess it’s gonna be one of your best songs then.” You said, heading towards the piano. His hands wrapped around your waist, bringing you close to him. Your hands went to his curls, out of habit.

“I already have my best song written for the next album, and it’s called You.”
