Dude, this deserves way more notes. I don't read BNHA fics like I used to, but this is an idea I haven't really seen and would absolutely LOVE to read! You only really get a few niche fic types with Deku (villain/vigilante AU, coffee shop/florist/actor/college/pop idol/etc., self-harm, OP quirk, Deku bowl, "BNHA except...", and so on). Seeing something like this, I think, would be really refreshing.

He really fuckin loves writing. It makes his little heart sing with joy, so he’s all like

“I wanna be an author when I grow up!”

But just like me and most other people, his dreams are crushed by a boulder

But, unlike my Creative Writing teacher, his boulder is fuckin Katsuki

As I was saying

Izuku decides to become a journalist reporter person

Now, there’s still quirks and heroes, but I’m not sure if I should keep Izuku as quirkless, or give him a quirk for this au/fic

If Izuku stays quirkless:

He’s totally gonna be that reporter out in a hurricane taking pictures, or just casually writing on a notepad while standing in the rubble of an ongoing fight

He’s gonna get a reputation for this and it’ll be awesome

All of this dangerous shit is gonna be for something like ‘why pistachio ice cream would survive in an apocalypse’ or 'reasons why we stan pro hero froppy’ (*cough*hitmewiththatbrotp*cough*)

If Izuku gets a quirk:

He’ll probably get some form of Mama Inko’s quirk

Cuz I love Mama Inko and she deserves it

So, he can basically manipulate small objects, as long as they’re nearby. And I’m not very smart, but just imagine he can use it with delicate motions too? Idk, like he has coordination?

And, seeing as this has become a BuzzFeed AU, Izuku uses it for the greater evil good

So, like, Midoriya has AT LEAST three different notepads open at all times around him, with a few pens floating around, scribbling small notes every now and then

Bc that would be super cool

So, he just has this chaotic energy around him at all times

Like, he’ll be taking notes on a superhero in the middle of some battle, and a chunk of debris will come flying towards him

And if it’s small enough, he can just redirect it in another direction or towards the ground

But if not,,,

He’ll just, like, duck and be vv sheepish as his notepads suddenly fall to the ground

Bc u can’t tell me he ain’t got reflexes

Back to the main plotline

So, as it turns out, his boss is some famous anonymous author who goes under the penname All Might

But in all actuality, he’s a freaking nerd

And Izuku accidentally leaves out some manuscript or whatever he’s been working on out in his desk

And our boy Yagi sees it

And he just has this epiphany and goes “oh shit this greenbean is GOOD”

So he decides he’ll be the greatest Creative Writing teacher I never got for this aspiring young man

Cue ten months of writing

That’ll be the romantic sub-plot, but rn WE ARE FOCUSING ON MAIN PLOT POINTS

Izuku still writes Buzzfeed-like articles

But, like, lately he’s been obsessed with some new superhero under the name Shouto

So, like, the League of Villains show up and start wreaking havoc

But then as it turns out

Yagi is married to some underground hero type and Izuku is, like, the perfect type to spy on these people

Bc dammit, if this boy can take up-close snapshots of pro-hero Shouto in action & get actual intel on crime rings, then he can practically do anything

So Yagi reluctantly recruits him to spy on the League of Villains for his hubby, whilst simultaneously trying to be a good boss/teacher/father figure to Izuku

Todoroki Shouto being sent various articles/probably poetry on the state of his 'flowing, silky-looking’ hair by Momo

Which are, of course, written by izuku

Momo’s just having a fucking field trip with this

Bonus:

So, the latest Steven Bomb reminded me how much I love Steven Universe (which usually happens any time they dump a few new episodes on us), so I started trying to draw the guys and gals and realized, "Wow, I've never invented a fusion. I should do that." And so Zoisite was born, the fusion of Steven and Peridot. She's as excitable and energetic as either of them, with Steven's optimism and pragmatism as well as Peridot's self-confidence (read: arrogance) and technical prowess. Because Peridot is completely out of her element, her reactions tend to be the most noticeable, so Zoisite often resembles her more than Steven, especially when in a negative mood. Naturally, she possesses both of their Gem abilities, including levitation and ferrokinesis. She can only summon Steven's shield, which she uses either as a shield/weapon or a makeshift hoverboard. She also lacks shapeshifting abilities. I guess her theme is sort of... nerd? Like, that one girl who's really smart and dresses a little funny, but still makes it work somehow. (I've never made a Gem OC before. Help)

I want to apologize to a few of you guys, because I realized that my statement on this post can be easily misconstrued. Part of my sense of humor is pointing out logical flaws and inconsistencies in movies, commercials, cartoons, etc. However, in making such a joke on someone else's post, I realize that it could be taken as me insulting the show or even the original poster. This wasn't my intention, and I'm sorry. From now on, if I feel the need to make such jokes, I will do it in my own posts (or at least try to make it clearer that I'm joking if I do it on someone else's).
