What The Charas Do To Take Care Of Themselves:
what the charas do to take care of themselves:
ginga spends some time to himself, when he first is aware he’s in need of self-care. he sleeps or visits his favorite places to relax, pegasus always in hand. it doesn’t always help to talk to his friends when he needs space, but he’s good at understanding when it is important for him to reach out. in some circumstances, he might even just go back to kouma village, either by himself or with his father.
kenta will want to talk about how he’s feeling, typically in-person, but through video chatting that’ll be okay too. (he and hyouma sometimes talk.) he likes to go to the old coliseum and sit high up on one of the broken pillars while he thinks. usually has sagittario idly spinning beside him. the sound of his bey spinning calms him down.
benkei sometimes wants to talk and sometimes doesn’t. it really depends on how he’s feeling, but he definitely goes out to buy himself foods that he likes or the thing that he’s been looking at forever in a store. he makes himself a nice meal and eats it by himself, not because he’s lonely, but just because he needs time for himself.
kyouya doesn’t take care of himself is probably just going to sleep. he’ll find somewhere remote and quiet and go to sleep. or he’ll go to the warehouse district and feed stray cats. anywhere that is devoid of other people will do him good in taking care of himself. (or, his best attempts at it.)
tsubasa also finds somewhere quiet to think or to relax. he’ll have his eagle with him, perched nearby, and that always helps him feel better. he’ll braid his hair or style it in gently. tsubasa will use face and hair care products to take care of himself. goes on walks in nature, or he’ll go fishing too. reads his favorite books and drinks hot tea while sitting among cozy blankets.
madoka definitely goes to sleep. she needs it. after she takes a long nap, she’ll bake herself something or cook herself something nice too. and she’ll eat it all herself, without any guys coming over to eat it before she can. she likes to doodle whatever comes to mind and write in a journal about her day too.
hikaru goes to the beach and absently picks up seashells that catch her attention. she also likes to go to book cafés and chill there as well. hikaru doesn’t really like talking to other people about her feelings in order to feel better, so she doesn’t do it often. she’d much rather go for a jog or keep active. she doesn’t like to sit around and waste time, but sometimes, she knows that when she really needs to take care of herself, she’ll sleep in all the way to the afternoon.
hyouma takes walks around kouma village and looks for flowers to bring back to his house. the little bits of color always make him feel better. also feels much better when curled up in blankets and with a nice book and hot drink, hokuto by his side as they occasionally stare out the window at the setting sun. he cooks himself his favorite food and eats it while sitting on top of his home’s roof and listening to the sounds of nature around him.
yuu will get someone (tsubasa) to buy him ice cream and other sweets. he’ll go off to the arcade and beat all the high scores there. he will win himself the stuffed animal he has always wanted from the claw machine. everyone around can’t believe this kid genius, and yuu will just be smugly proud of his accomplishment. when he’s alone, he talks to libra sometimes, rambling on about his day and what was cool and what wasn’t, and how he wishes things were, to feel better.

The cutest roar ever! Three-month-old lion escapes from his mother to test out his new voice in South Africa
He may only be three-months-old but this lion cub has proved it is never too early to start practising his roar. The young cat was caught on camera opening his mouth wide and testing out his voice in an South African game reserve.
And tourists who were lucky enough to catch the rare sight said the youngster looked exactly like Simba, star of the 1994 Disney classic, The Lion King. Heinrich Neumayer, from South Africa, snapped the pictures, and said this particular cub seemed to have a big personality.
He said: ‘There were eight cubs in total, but this little one stole the show, no one seemed to notice the others.
'The whole group were stunned by this little guy’s performance, the mischievous cub wasn’t listening to its mother.
'He definitely reminded us of Simba, he didn’t want there to be any rules. He moaned the whole time he was being carried by his mother and ran away as soon as he was let go.
'His mum called him back a couple of times but he was not finished and he didn’t even look in her direction.
'She was not having any of it and started walking to the cub, and continued calling him and he still ignored her.
'When she reached him he quickly tried to run away but she managed to trip him and he tumbled a couple of times.
The professional wildlife photographer and safari guide, snapped the pictures of the captivating cub in the early hours of the morning at the Sabi Sands game reserve, adjacent to the Kruger National Park. He said: 'We could hear the roars of the lion pride throughout the night, but in the early morning we were woke by raucous roars which suddenly pierced through the early hours.
'Our guide quickly walked to each room with his flashlight and gathered all of us for an earlier than usual game drive.
'We hastily made our way to the game drive vehicles and the excitement was electric.
'Not even five minutes into the drive we found the entire Nkuhuma Pride; the kings responsible for waking us all.’
The pictures show the young lion cub breaking free from his mother before practicing his mighty roar to his adoring crowd. Mr Neumayer explained: 'He paused for a couple of seconds contemplating what to do next, he looked at our vehicle, then the most adorable little cub made an attempted roar.
'Our hearts melted and our cameras fired away!
'There were a lot of oohs and aahs from the group as the cub tried to state his authority.
'This little brave heart surely made it worth waking up so early and he stole our hearts.
'With a will of his own and not following any rules, this little fluff ball is all set to be a one of a kind ruler.'
Absolutely love Kyoya, and this is definitely something I can see him doing. Very nicely done!!!
AU‼! where kyouya’s a delinquent kid, who left his hometown during his “rebellious” teen phase. (i guess he’s around 18 in this.) he was tired of being the best at his school, having to go to school, be responsible for things he didn’t care about, and learn about things he had no interest in learning.
the word i saw for this was “dancing” and instantly. i thought of this post. face hunters + dance competitions? good idea!! they’re sort of a legit gang in this? bc metal city has no authorities, as we know already, and there’s gotta be some kind of organization, oops. (note: some mild cursing lol)

To be a better writer...
“Murphy’s Law” states that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.
While you don’t need to have literally everything go wrong in your story, take the time to really think of all the depth of conflict that could arise from things being less simple for the protagonist during their steps to achieve their goal. Tension is a strong driver of story interest and conflict helps increase it.
