Help me overcome adversity

I am reaching out to you today, standing firm against incredible challenges. Life in our area has become increasingly difficult due to the ongoing and escalating conflict, and I struggle to secure the basic necessities for myself and my family.

About me and my family

I am married to Hussam Al-Dahdouh, and I am 38 years old. I have five children: Jamal, 16 years old; Muhammad, 14 years old, who suffers from a chronic illness known as Mediterranean fever and must take lifelong medication; Layan, 10 years old; Amir, 8 years old;

and Zina, 4 years old.

We have faced death dozens of times. Our home was completely damaged and burned down, making it uninhabitable. We have been displaced more than 20 times and have miraculously survived certain death. We have lost over 100 relatives, neighbors, and loved ones. The area I live in is subjected to rockets, shelling, and gunfire every day. We struggle to find healthy food, clean drinking water, and medication for my son Muhammad. My children can no longer return to school.

Therefore, my family and I have decided to leave Gaza to protect our children from death, hunger, and diseases due to the war, lack of food and medicine, water pollution, and

the destruction of educational facilities.

• Our departure from Gaza and seeking refuge in a country that respects human rights, such as Canada, Belgium, or Sweden. The cost of leaving is high, as each family member needs $5,000 to leave. winter is returning to gaza which means white phosphorous acid rain, polio infected sewage flooding, and bitter cold with no shelter. tents are not enough.

siraj's family has 10 children in it, many under the age of 12, two newborns, and two elderly people who are susceptible to disease. his mother has diabetes, which anyone knows needs frequent monitoring and medical care. he and his family just recovered from skin infections and he doesn't want to see them suffer from all the disease the winter will bring.

siraj found a place to rent but its 1400 CAD a month. the lease lasts 6 months - he needs to raise $8400 CAD / $6253 USD as soon as possible before winter gets really ugly so he can secure his family's safety.

siraj is trying to rebuild his life. he doesn't want to let the zionist entity kick him out. he's staring this genocide in the face and telling them he doesn't care what they do, he's not leaving.

yet, he's really far from his goal. and things are moving really slowly. i don't know how many times i can repeat this same information. things change but the brutality of what they face stays the same.

I am Kawthar Zeyad Ramadan from Gaza, I am 29 years old.

I live every day war, destruction and fear, a feeling that can only be described by those who live it.

War is not easy, as I lost part of my family, my home and my work.

I graduated from university with a high grade and worked as a fashion designer and opened my own project because it was my hobby from the beginning.

I developed and succeeded in my field, but the war came and I lost everything in a moment.

My work was my source of livelihood for my family, so because of it there was no longer any source of income.

Also, my mother has been suffering from kidney failure for years and needs dialysis 3 times a week.

Because of the war, she suffered from going to the hospital in danger and long distances.

Also, the lack of adequate care caused her severe fatigue and hospitals became an unhealthy place because of the large numbers who needed treatment.

I had many ambitions and dreams that I wanted to achieve and succeed and become a famous fashion designer.

All we wanted was to survive the war. We were forced to be displaced more than 10 times at least.

We suffer a lot from the tent as we lived the summer with its extreme heat as it is made of poor quality nylon

And from insects and diseases

And now winter has come and we are drowning in the tents and the extreme cold

We fear death every day, we love life

New Update About My Campaign - October 16, 2024

Hello friends,

To be honest with you all, today marks Day 65 since I reached out to you here on Tumblr for help in achieving my goal. I started my campaign at the beginning of May, and until I turned to you here, I hadn't received any donations. Thanks to your support, I’ve managed to raise €3,597 out of my €15,000 goal.

Unfortunately, a few days ago, Tumblr shut down my main account, @osamabasilps, because I shared some updates about recent events, particularly in northern Gaza. My main account had many followers, and it generated a lot of interaction with my campaign. As you can probably see, donations have slowed down significantly since then, and I haven’t received any contributions in days.

While I’m incredibly grateful for every donation, progress has been quite slow. That’s why I’ve decided to set some short-term goals to hopefully help me get closer to my main objective. 🎯My new short-term goal is to reach €5,000 by the middle of next month, November 15, 2024.
