Rainy Days Are My FavoriteDo You Know Why? She Asked Him.

“Rainy day’s are my favorite…Do you know why?” She asked him.

“Why?” He asked. They had spent all day together. Their plan was to go out, and enjoy the city, but since it started raining, it ruined their plans. But he enjoyed spending the day with her.

They haven’t gotten that much, recently.

“Because, there’s a calm feeling that I get. I don’t feel the need to rush and be frightened by the thunder and lighting. It’s rain like this. I love the feeling of being calm… especially with you.” she spoke.

He smiled at her. “You’re too cute you know that?” He told her, as he sat up on the bed they were laying on.

“Yeah, but you love me.” She said. She leaned in, and kissed him on the cheek. “So, do you wanna continue laying here, or doing you wanna go into the living room and watch a movie?” She asked him, while proceeding to get up from the bed.

“We can watch a movie. What do you wanna watch?” He asked.

“Anything that’s comical is fine by me. I’m gonna make some sandwiches.” she said, while she got up. “And I know how you like it too.” She said while smiling as him.

“You know me so well.” He laughed.

She laughed, and walked out of the room. “how did I get so lucky?” He spoke to himself.

He got up from the bed, and started to walk out of his room, when he stepped on something… rather unfamiliar.

It was a girls clothes. But it wasn’t her’s, it was somebody else’s.

His eyebrows furrowed with confusion. He doesn’t remember having any other girl over, but her. He picked up the material, looking at it.

“W-what’s that?” He heard her voice. He looked up, and saw her eyes.

And that was the last thing he saw, before he woke up.

He looked around his trashed apartment. He looked next to him, to not find her but a wasted girl.

He looked down, and rubbed his face. He knew he shouldn’t let her go.

But it was too late.

“I can’t exactly describe how I feel but it’s not quite right. And it leaves me cold.”

i was at a grocery store really late one night and some old guy kind of eyed me as i walked out of the store next to this other lady. She and I made eye contact and i knew she was scared too. we loaded up our groceries into our cars as fast as possible and I had way more bags than her so she got done faster than me. I panicked because i was sure she was going to leave so i just hurried faster, shaking a little, and then i noticed she sat in her car, watching me and making sure nobody came near. She waited not until all my groceries were loaded, or until my cart was put away, or until I got into my car. No, she didn’t drive away until I drove away.

And that was the moment that I realized how much women need other women. That we can’t win this war without each other and we have to be looking out for each other, every second.

Under the Snowfall

December 2nd, 1991.

Siberia

Winter.

As the sky starts to fade into nightfall, the cold really kicked in. You had no idea why your family wanted to go camping in this weather. Your mother wanted the family  to bond before Christmas, and you honestly felt the need to leave and to go home. You could be in front of the fireplace, sipping on some hot chocolate, and watching your favorite sitcom.

But your family insisted on your siblings to bond with each other and to bond with relatives. How bad could that possibly be?

Your aunt’s and uncles came along for the ride into the bleak woods. You couldn’t possibly wish that you were somewhere else. Your family may be your family, but that doesn’t mean you’d enjoy some peace and quiet from them for a little bit.

Granted, it is the holiday season. A time for cheer to be spread amongst people from all over. You should be feeling overjoyed that you get to spend time with your relatives and siblings.

But you couldn’t shake the feeling that you were being watched.

It was only little past ten, and everyone was getting ready for bed. You were helping your aunt’s take care of the campfire that was made during the day. All of your siblings were making sure trash was picked up and the area looked nice for the next day.

Once that was taken care of, everyone headed towards the main cabin that your parents rented out for your family. You all made our way to our individual rooms, saying goodnight to each other and making sure we all felt safe.

You headed towards your room which was down the hall and the last door on your right. You entered the room and locked the door behind you. You never trusted your siblings since they pulled awful pranks on your so you always locked your door.

You started to change out of your clothes that are a little damp from treading through the snow all day. You quickly changed into your warm pj’s, and got underneath the covers of the bed, ready to fall asleep.

Something was wrong. You woke up with a sick feeling that your were being watched again. Does hanging out in the wood do that to you? Make you feel paranoid?

You got up from the bed, and looked around the dimly lit room. You couldn’t understand why you kept getting this feeling that someone was watching your every move. You looked at the clock over the small fireplace in your room. You could barely make it out, but it read 2:03 am.

And the worst thing happened. You felt your face being covered by a piece of white cloth and a strange figure trying to suffocate you. You started to scream and fight back but it wasn’t until the scent of the cloth reached your brain.

Trying to fight it all you can you weren’t strong enough to fight it, and the world suddenly turned black.

You felt cold when you woke up. You felt extremely dizzy and wanted to vomit. You looked at your surrounding and it wasn’t until you felt something touch your head. Your eyes widened, and you began to cry. The salty tears came running down your face and there was only one thought that was going through your mind:

You were going to die.

You never even got to say goodbye to your family, let alone live a life.

“Now, now sweetheart… let’s not cry in front of me now…” you heard a voice speak up.

You turned your head towards the person next to you, the only person that was holding a gun next your head.

“Please… I don’t want to die…” You pleaded quietly. You continued to sob, and the tears only came out faster.

“Darling we are not here to kill you… In fact we need you more than anything.” You here the figure speak. It sounded a lot deeper than any other voice, you could only assume that it was male that was standing next you.

You watched his movements in the dark. He moved slowly to be in front of you. “Listen we need one last volunteer for our experiment. And you come from a stable family. If all else fails you go back to your rotten family. But if it works, we will have to keep you longer… if you can follow these requests of mine, then you will be rewarded. If not, you will be killed. Understood?” He asked.

You shook in fear. You don’t know what this man has done, and you were afraid of finding out. But it seemed like you had no choice. You either behave or be killed, and you didn’t want to die.

So, reluctantly you accepted.

You hoped that he would leave your family alone. You had hoped and prayed that one day you will see them again. And hopefully, see them alive.

More importantly, them seeing you alive.

26 years later

Nobody knew who you were. Nobody could ever catch a common assassin like this. At least not at your rate.

You were trained and tortured to be trained. You worked hard day and night, learning everything there is to know about the modern world. You were a hacker, a thief, a killer, a machine.

You knew how to take down every single system that exists in the world. You have assassinated countless amount of people that wrong HYDRA.

There was a huge price on your head. And yet, nobody knew who you were.

Until now.

The Winter Soldier stood in front of you in pure flesh. You couldn’t believe your eyes, you thought you were dreaming.

“Barnes,” You spoke calmly. “Y/L/N,” He greeted you back. “Y-you remembered my name,” you stood there in shock.

“How could I forget the most beautiful girl I’ve met?” He responded with a smile.

“I can’t believe it’s really you. I just remember hearing about you on the news two years ago.. I am sorry for everything you’ve been through,” you responded with a sad smile.

“Don’t worry… nobody will find us here in Romania… I promise.” He whispered. You walked over to him and wrapped your arms around him. He did the same thing and you both held each other tightly. Never wanting to let go.

Unfortunately, your one chance at happiness was taken away from you.

In His Eyes

In his eyes, he was right.

He knew what he was doing was for the greater good. He felt that it was the right thing to do. Seeing that some of the other team members didn’t quite see that made him frustrated.

Until she had to get in the way.

Granted, he wanted her out of the way. He didn’t want her to get involved with something as big as this. He has always found the need to protect her when it came down to the team. If she felt stressed, or got hurt in a just a few seconds, He was by her side.

This made people have mixed feelings about their relationship. The team all enjoyed the fact that he found someone to look after. Not only because she was years younger than him, He felt the need to become a bit of a father figure to her. He truly cared about her, and anything that goes on in a teenagers life.

School, friends, boys, the typical drama stuff to training, missions, and the avengers. Those were the top things that she had on her small shoulders. Sometimes he wished they hadn’t found her.

But everything happens for a reason.

She had forcefield like powers, and they were out of control. Based on pure emotion, and strength she couldn’t control her thoughts and feelings when it came to her powers. She was born with these powers, and she couldn’t help but feel that the powers were both a blessing and a curse.

Anyone that got in her way would get hurt. She would strike innocent lives down the stronger she got. Because of these incidents, her family threw her out to live on the streets. She had no other home, no friends of any sort, nothing to comfort her and no one to turn to for help.

In her teen years, she thought about commiting suicide. With nothing left to keep her still, she was falling apart. Broken and tormented by the real world and it’s abuses, she wanted to end it all. She tried so many times. Maybe one of these days, she would actually do it.

And everytime she tried, she would started to shake violently and her powers started to act up. She couldn’t even bring up the courage to destroy her poisonous thoughts that consume her head everyday.

Until she met Him.

She didn’t knew who he was, and to her surprise, he was relieved. To him, he was surprised as well. He saw that she had been through hell, and back. Maybe even twice.

And with one look, he whisked her away.

And now, he looks at her with sad eyes.

She was apart of the fight in Lagos. She could’ve hurt anyone with her powers during the mission, but her job was to make sure none on the bad guys got away.

With her force field powers, She was in control. She had trained under Wanda and Tony’s supervision. She had gotten better at controlling her powers. But when the bomb went off near the top of the building…

She wanted to blame herself. Even though she did nothing wrong.

Hell, even her teammates tried telling her that mistakes happen during missions… It was up to her to either fear from her mistake, or to learn from it. But she could even tell the guilt was on everyone.

Including Steve, but he has to keep his head held high.

When the accords came into play, Tony immediately thought it was the best thing for everyone.

But to her, it reminded her of the pain she had from hiding away all those years ago. She was reminded what it felt like to be hated, to feel like your not important anymore.

So she refused to sign it.

He was angry that she choose the wrong side. In his eyes, he only saw red.

He thought Steve might have told her to not sign it, to go against his wishes. The problem was, he wasn’t her legal guardian. He was going to change that, but since this whole fight started he felt like he lost a part of him.

In his eyes, he never bothered to think about what she wanted, and he hated himself for that after seeing her hurt after the airport battle.

He hated having to tell the spider boy to take her down.

He hated seeing her on Cap’s side.

He hated the fact that she disagreed with him.

He hated seeing her arrested along with his other teammates.

Deep down, he knew He shouldn’t be so angry. Everybody had their reasons for not signing or signing the accords. And it was never political between him and her.

He just wanted her safe.

But because of the mess that has happened, he could never look at her the same. He was ashamed as a father figure in her life.

He has only hoped and possibly prayed that one she would forgive him…

And that one day, he will cherish forever.
