hot take: the lgbtq+ community maybe, just maybe, should take a long look at the racism in the community that’s extremely present and everybody is closing their eyes. Everybody is talking about belonging and being accepted when black lgbtq+ people are still being harassed everyday from inside and out of the community and y’all are just looking the other way.

I am BTS’ leader, Kim Namjoon. I’m afraid you might not be able to hear me because of the helicopter, so I’ll speak loudly. Firstly, the Metropolitan Museum is a place I really love in New York and I took a picture here 2 years ago when I came to visit myself. I am so honored to be able to speak with you like this on such a beautiful day, next to this artwork that I love very much, Corte’s mobile. Truthfully, I nearly forgot what I was going to say because of this view, but I’ll do my best to keep going.

Really, my heart is fluttering from coming here this time around with such a public responsibility. As I visited the Korea Gallery earlier with the First Lady and distinguished guests, I was overwhelmed with emotions and had many different thoughts. In particular, it was meaningful and new to be able to view Korean art in New York, a city where many people around the world want to come to so much, as you said earlier, the art mecca, America’s New York. I believe we are able to be here right now thanks to the many people working hard to show the greatness of Korean culture. We are so very honored and pleased to be able to present to you a Korean artist’s work in this way. And, as an art lover and fan of Korean art, I am especially joyful.

In truth, while K-pop, K-drama, and K-films are prominent parts of K-culture, there are truly amazing Korean artists who have not yet been discovered by those outside our country and they are working so very diligently.

As Special Presidential Envoys representing Korea, we will work hard with a sense of duty to spread further the greatness of Korean culture and to broaden the potential of K-culture. And the next time we come, as there are many artworks here at The Met that I personally really, really love, I’d like to return and admire the Korea Gallery and the incredible collections here at The Met, as myself, human being Kim Namjoon. Once again, thank you.

Danger by @xjoonchildx is literally the reason we became friends. I read it and it was so good I messaged her and was like “Hi. We are friends now. Please understand that this is your new reality.” I would also check out Last Christmas. I laughed and then I shivered.

Organic by @ppersonna is SO HOT and SO HILARIOUS. I laughed and swooned so much. A can’t miss entry. This Jin is a masterpiece.

Heat by @thewanderingalias if you just can’t wait for some fire alpha Jin content because phew that is hot. Such a good fic.

Verlangen is a standout Jin fic by @untaemedqueen —just incredible. But for some werewolf action (that is also incredible) check out I Waited for You. Alpha Jin is fire.

Show Me Yours and I’ll Show You Mine is a super hot best friend’s brother fic by @ktheist let me tell you it is SO GOOD. I literally loved it. It was also hilarious. Tae is so dramatic.

In Need of Orders is a KINGSMEN AU by @lemonjoonah (ohmygosh) and it is AMAZING. Seriously one of my favorite Jin fics. So sexy and hot and I just can’t even. Please read this. It’s so good.

Kairos by @luffles424 is THE alpha Jin fic. It is the one I compare all others to in my head. I fell so hard in love with this fic and it’s absolutely fascinating premise. Give it a read. No regrets EVER.
