Yemen is facing the worlds largest hunger crisis and the world is too quiet.

And it’s the children that pay the highest price. An estimated 85,000 children have lost their lives to extreme starvation alone. Every 10 minutes, a child under 5 dies of preventable causes in Yemen. When choosing what charities or goals you want to support during the last few days of Ramadan, I urge you to keep the children of Yemen in mind. And if you’re not celebrating Ramadan, or are not religious.. you’re still human.

I was watching this vid about a study where an adult poses as a 15 year old and then 11 year old girl (using technology to look younger) on instagram to see how long it takes for pedophiles to start messaging, and within literally a fucking minute a bunch of men DM her asking to meet up, compliment her in inappropriate ways, and try to explain how sexual acts they would do work. This really hit me hard because I was once a 15 year old who trusted an adult man I met online that turned out to be a sex offender in his 50s. Before my parents found our messages on my phone, I planned to send a video of myself like he requested, and he wanted to send one back. I was naive and trusted people too easily. I’m not alone.

Please, if you are a minor on social media, never trust an adult asking for your number, requesting pictures or videos of you, talking about inappropriate things, and so on. You aren’t being rude for backing off from an adult who does these things, even if you were friends. It’s also never your fault. These people know how to manipulate. The best you can do is recognize the dangers and stay away.

No but seriously. Normalize finding love in your 40's. Normalize discovering and chasing new dreams in your 30's. Normalize finding yourself and your purpose in your 50's. Life doesn't end at 25. Let's stop acting like it does.
