Need to see more fics where Spock finds out about Kirk’s terrible childhood and is just dumbfounded.

In Vulcan society the idea of inflicting physical abuse upon one’s child is unheard of. Utterly illogical. So after Spock learns about Kirk's shitty stepfather, he has a crisis trying to comprehend the idea that a parent would hurt a child and also that someone would hurt his husband. From then on anytime Jim makes a joke about his abuse he notices that Spock tenses and gets angry and he's just like "???" and then later in the quiet of their quarters Spock just softly tells him that he'd murder Kirk's stepfather if he ever came across him. Kirk is half freaked-out, half touched at the sentiment.

I think this also goes for any other Vulcans hearing the idea of child abuse, if they were to overhear a conversation between humans being like “Yeah I remember when I broke the screen of my Dad’s new tv and he hit me so hard I think I blacked out haha” “that’s nothing compared to the time I told my mother to her face that I hated her cooking, she brought out the chancla on my ass lol” the Vulcans would just be downright horrified and spread this news back to other Vulcans about how savage some human parents can truly be and soon enough any human who mentions any type of violence in their childhood is receiving the highest level of comfort Vulcans can offer to a stranger: A hand to the shoulder and intense eye contact 😐🖖

I imagine that Q's visits to the enterprise become so common that after a while the crew just gets used to him appearing for non-malicious purposes. If you happen to walk into ten forward and see the captain arguing with Q then you just know not to question or interrupt them, it’s just a lovers quarrel.

I can just picture some transfer ensign aboard the enterprise walking with a few other ensigns down the hall and they see the captain with Q by his side talking and Q does something with his powers and the transfer ensign being like "😯 i-ist that Q!? Why's he here!? Hasn't he been a massive fucking danger to the ship in the past??? Why are we not on red alert rn!????" and all the other ensigns are like "chill, he's just on a date with his boyfriend😊"

I think the reason no-one on DS9 ever tried to make Odo and Quark get along is because the sheer amount of chaos power that they would wield if they'd got along with one another would bring the station to a fiery and destructive end.

I mean you all saw that little moment at the end One Little Ship (S6E14) where Odo was messing with Bashir and O'Brien about their height and Quark just sensed his mischievous energy from across the bar and saddled up next to him to join along the fun and they giggled together about it, those two would ruin countless lives.

I’m begging everyone to go back and re-visit the s1e15 “If Wishes Were Horses” on ds9 because oh my god-

Julian’s whole part in the episode is his crush on Jadzia but there’s a scene early on at like 10 minutes where everyone’s imaginations come to life and the whole scene is with him and imaginary Jadzia waking him up and kissing him and I cannot listen to the way he’s whining and whimpering into the kiss without imagining a garashir situation swap where Garak’s the one who runs his hands through Julian’s hair and kisses him non-stop and being all seductive and eventually pulling Julian down onto the bed-

And then later the real Garak seeing the imaginary Garak and Julian being very flustered meanwhile he’s just a smug old lizard.

Encounter at Farpoint has many faults, but establishing the homoerotic tension between Captain Jean-luc Picard and Q the cuntress was not one of them

Do ya think that when Q was creating his human form to speak with Picard he was like "Even though it really doesn't matter how I appear in front of them because ultimately I am a far more advanced and uncomprehendingly larger being than all of them, I still have to make myself taller than Jean-luc so I can lean ominously over him and intimidate him >:)" but because Q has no understanding of personal space whatsoever to any on looking crewmember or ensign it just looks like he's bending over to stuff his face into Jean-luc's neck

actually sex is fun and casual if you want it to be and serious and sacred if you want it to be bc you make that choice for yourself and nobody else!

A lot of people around me are having kids and every day it becomes more apparent that hitting your children to punish them is insane because literally everything can be a horrible punishment in their eyes if you frame it as such.

Like, one family makes their toddler sit on the stairs for three minutes when he hits his brother or whatever. The stairs are well lit and he can see his family the whole time, he’s just not allowed to get up and leave the stairs or the timer starts over. He fucking hates it just because it’s framed as a punishment.

Another family use a baseball cap. It’s just a plain blue cap with nothing on it. When their toddler needs discipline he gets a timeout on a chair and has to put the cap on. When they’re out and about he just has to wear the cap but it gets the same reaction. Nobody around them can tell he’s being punished because it’s in no way an embarrassing cap, but HE knows and just the threat of having to wear it is enough.

And there isn’t the same contempt afterwards I’ve seen with kids whose parents hit them. One time the kid swung a stick at my dog, his mother immediately made him sit on the stairs, he screamed but stayed put, then he came over to my dog and gently said “Sorry Ellie” and went back to playing like nothing happened, but this time without swinging sticks at the nearby animals.

Can we talk about how in S3E7 Civil Defense there was literally no reason for Quark to stay with Odo. “This is the safest place on the whole station, I’m staying right here.” bitch you just wanna be with your boyfriend stfu

And omg later in another scene when Odo takes Quark’s phaser away because he might hurt himself and then they have their little heart to heart and Odo tells Quark he’s the most devious Ferengi he’s ever met, and Quark goes genuine for a moment: “Thank you Odo…. that means a lot to me.” And then immediately follows that up by leaning closer to him and asking all softly with puppy dog eyes: “Now, ...Can I have my phaser back?” BRO HE’S ALMOST WHIMPERING THAT LINE OUT ISTG-

So I've been reading a lot of star trek comics lately and I came across this one story with an interesting concept and great art, but also discovered it has a GOLDMINE of Qcard shippy moments to which I immediately collected and wanted to share with the Qcard mutuals on tumblr, below are the most obvious ones in order:

Re-watching s4ep20 Qpid and am wondering what exactly Q meant when he leans down closer to Jean-Luc and says in a softer voice “I could help you with it.” And why he has such an honest look on his face. At the start of their conversation, he was being his regular Q-self, but he says this like he’s serious about this, like he would actually help Jean-Luc write a better speech. And after Jean-Luc says, “No thank you.” He pauses for a moment and actually looks a little disappointed.

The whole episode was one of their gayest, Jean-Luc was having a bisexual nightmare and I live for it.

Don't get me wrong, Odo totally loves the cat and mouse game he and Quark have, loves that he and Quark get to play around as Lawful officer and Mischievous Criminal. However, I do think that if he ever ended up in some alternate reality where Quark was a goody-two shoes who listens to Odo's rules and stays out of trouble it would for sure be Odo's personal wet-dream :)

That soft little “You’re going to leave me?” Quark whimpers after Odo says he’s giving to climb the mountain by himself, they’re so pathetic❤️❤️❤️🥺🥺🥺

The symbolism of Garak being an assassin who has taken many lives and Bashir forgiving him for it.

Paired with Bashir as a doctor who saves and heals lives and Garak falling in love with him for it.

Love the idea of a delusional Michael thinking that Adam is literally perfect. Like wdym? Of course Adam’s The best human, he’s My human, fym how could he not be????

No because Dean’s face just proves that he so so so jealous in this scene.

Like nobody is making the type of face he is, Mary just looks away awkwardly, Sam is still shaken up and just doesn’t care, But Dean is just: 😡

It’s even funnier if at this point, Dean hasn't realized his feelings for Cas. Cause then there is absolutely NO reason for him to be THAT angry about mick hitting on cas 💀

12.02 Mamma Mia

Dean gets hit with a love spell during a case and looks at Cas first trope except him and Cas are already together, so Cas and Sam assume nothings gonna change. And nothing really does, except that Dean now openly holds Cas's hand when their out walking around and he holds onto Cas's waist from behind when their just standing and he lets Cas scratch and play with his hair without pulling away from embarrassment and worst of all is the kissing!

Sam will be explaining what they should do next to catch the monster and when he looks up he sees Dean staring softly at Cas and Cas staring softly back which is fine, that's what they do, they stare, so Sam turns away. But when he looks back for the second time he sees Dean start peppering little smooches all over the angels face, just quick kisses on his nose and cheeks and forehead and neck too, all while they both smile dumbly, which is also fine, its not like Sam hasn't seen this before, they were exactly like this in their honeymoon phase at the beginning of their relationship, so he turns away again trying to focus but then he has a question to ask Cas and he turns and- HOLY SHIT THEY'RE MAKING OUT! RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM THEY'RE USING TONGUE AND CAS'S HANDS ARE AROUND DEAN'S WAIST AND HIS HANDS ARE IN CAS'S HAIR AND THEIR MOANING AND SAM NEEDS TO BEAT THEM OVER THE HEAD WITH A STICK-

I'm a sucker for the idea that after Chuck is defeated and once Michael and Adam are reunited Michael just leans heavily into the protective trope, bordering on possessive.

Of course they have their initial rush of emotions when they first reunite but slowly about a week after everything is resolved Adam starts noticing that Michael insists that they don't leave the house which, yeah that's strange, but Michael never been one for interacting with any other human aside from Adam, so he shrugs it off.

But he also notices that Michael's been getting touchier lately, Michael's never really been big on physical touch and yet Adam finds that whenever he's making something in the kitchen Michael's always right there hugging him from behind. Or when they're watching something late at night on the couch, they no longer sit just next to each other like they usually would, now their cuddling in every cuddling position that was ever made. When Adam goes to bed, Michael joins him instead of his usual 'doing other things until Adam wakes up' thing. Now he crawls into bed with Adam and holds him tightly, as if he was afraid that if he let go then Adam would fall out of his grasp forever.

Adam hasn't felt this kind of warmth since he was a kid and would crawl into bed with his mother when he had a nightmare, so he accepts it and rolls over to hold onto Michael as well. Michael shifts and pulls Adam's legs up by the thigh and around his waist, willing to be even closer to his Adam. He wraps his arms all around the humans torso and tucks his face into Adams neck breathing in his pulse, knowing that he's alive and protected by Michael. As Adam falls into unconsciousness Michael opens his eyes to watch the man breath deep and slow breaths into the silence of the night. Adam looks so peaceful, so innocent and...so breakable. His mind wanders into thinking about loosing Adam again, having him be taken away somewhere Michael can't reach, having the skin of his flesh be tortured and filled with suffering pain when he shouldn't ever have to suffer, having him be killed

Without realizing, Michael tightens his grip around Adam.

Silently, Michael promises to never allow anyone, no matter how powerful, to take his Adam away ever again. He brushes the hairs that fall onto Adam's face back and places his lips on his forehead in a gentle kiss. How Michel wishes to keep him here like this, to bask in their shared love together until everything ends.

But alas, Adam does eventually have to wake up. That little job of his makes him so happy, and that's all Michael now wants, Adam's happiness.

I just know that the first time Dean and Cas take a nap together (Cas suggested it even though he doesn’t sleep because he can feel the exhaustion radiating off of Dean) that the second that Dean lays his head down against Castiel’s chest and feels Cas’s arms wrap around him and closes his eyes he blacks out! That old man is tired! Let 👏 Him 👏 Sleep👏

He sleeps for a total 4 days and 12 hours, Cas counts every second and may be using some of his angel grace to keep Dean asleep. Cas himself doesn’t even try to sleep, he’s content just watching Dean snooze :)
