Student Loans Industry Prediction / Commentary : "The Looming Student Loan Crisis"

Hello All, It's that time of the month I usually share a "Gem of Opportunity" for you to reflect upon. However this time its not I plying an innovative conceptual design for you to mull over. I have in past years offered up predictions surrounding: future inventions regarding dental hygiene, hidden American Naval Installations, the distant future healthcare industry in America, including the Great Generation 2.0 of Americans who are now children living in poverty in the shadow of this "Great Recession". Today I stick my neck out once more hoping to God I've misread the signs and have misinterpreted my intuition. I rather be gladly wrong than get this prediction correct regarding America's Next Financial Crisis. Our next American recession will be surrounding the Student Loans financial industry. Which is now underwritten by $1 Trillion dollars by the Federal Government and climbing for the stratosphere. The last estimated figure heard in the news here in the States a couple of weeks ago. Was data from October 2011 placing America at $1.2 Trillion Dollars. One trillion dollars underwritten by the Federal government via the private lending institutions (ie banks). The other couple hundred million dollars as unsecured private financing which is: personal lines of credit, HELOC (Home Equity Lines of Credit) loans, 529 State Funding Plans, retirement account loans, etc... Here's an article from the CFPB (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau) in the Federal Government set up during the 1st term of the Obama Administration. The article is dated from last year in July 17th, 2013. Student Debt Swells, Federal Loans Now Top A Trillion Dollars (Link) I've lived about 40 years on planet Earth here in America so far. In my human experience nearly every decade of my mortal existence there has been a recession led by greed, negligence, incompetence, and plain ugly corruption. In the 1970's it was the 1973 Oil Crisis and the 1973 / 1974 Stock Market Crash, in the late 1980's the "Savings and Loans Crisis", the late 1990's and early 2000's it was the Dot Com Boom and subsequent Bust, and in the last quarter of 2007 the "Great Recession". I'm a Generation X by birth here in America, as they say X marks the spot. :o) Americans enter into selective amnesia every decade acting like innocent lambs when an economic crisis of our collective making occurs. When we are the hardcore bogeymen of the world as the only super power until that is the Chinese catch up. Right now I foresee 4 Types of Asset Bubbles confronting Americans today in late 2014. First, the aforementioned $1.2 Trillion dollars of Student Loans from numbers of October 2011 (as the latest data sets). Second, Tech Firm valuations during M&A (Merger and Acquisitions) activity when technological firms merge. The most famous recently was when "Mr. Marc Zuckerburg" of Facebook paid for "WhatsApp" at the $16 Billion price tag. It started the reincarnation of the Dot Com asset bubble paying on future hyped performance commercially for something that may or may not ever happen. Other tech firms have followed suit in Facebook's example and that is a dangerous trend indeed. Third, auto sub-prime loans much like what started the housing crisis of the "Great Recession". More sub-prime loans for automobile paper is on the rise, didn't we learn our lesson already? Finally the fourth asset bubble I foresee is that of Sports League Team Owners looking for municipal bond tax payers. To go onto a bloody meat hook so they can build themselves a shiny brand new stadium. Cities like Tampa, Florida are still paying off the last stadium and don't have the stomach hearing about a new stadium. These Team Owners of whatever sports league can do the financing themselves they're just looking for State / Local government welfare handouts. Our Federal Congress of legislators have done patch work reforms to lower interest rates for Student Loans. Such as the "Bipartisan Student Loan Certainty Act of 2013" tying it to the 10 year Treasury Note for the life of each individual loan. (Source: Aug. 1st, 2013 U. S. News & World Report) (Link) President Obama also took Executive Action with the "Pay As You Earn" existing Federal student loan program. By expanding it to cap at 10% of a student's income which after 20 years time with the loan a portion can be forgiven. (Source: The Chronicle.com June 9th, 2014) (Link) I still personally suspect this may vent some of the steam from this pressure cooker, but not enough. It may be too little, too late. I'm no professional in the financial industry, however take it as face value from a spiritual intuitive aka an "Oracle Imagineer". This is a prediction that in 2 to 3 years time we're over due for our next American economic recession. Remember every decade of life I've had on this Earth there's been an economic meltdown in America. Our last one was 7 Years Ago in the last quarter of 2007 for the "Great Recession". We're due for our pound of flesh to be paid by the aforementioned criteria of human: negligence, incompetence, greed, and corruption. Speaking of corruption regarding the student loans industry the CFPB (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau) I mentioned above. Seeks $500 Million dollars from a law suit against "Corinthian Colleges,Inc." It's a for-profit college that services 74,000 students with private loans with fraud in overly expensive tuition rates, advertising bogus job prospects and career services at graduation, and illegal debt collection practices to strong arm students. (Source CFPB Sept. 16th, 2014) (Link) Right now we're swimming in the wild wild west of for-profit colleges and universities be they online only or otherwise. Playing with students fast and loose with their higher education career needs. Not until the financial tide goes back to sea. Will we notice all the naked swimmers as predators and criminals preying on unsuspecting students. Just like when the credit industry dried up during the "Great Recession" crooks like Mr. Bernie Madoff were discovered with their fraudulent schemes. This is a partial chain of events I foresee as happening when the "Student Loan Crisis Strikes" in 2 to 3 years time. Remember the last "Great Recession" happened during the last year of the Bush Administration in America. The "Student Loan Crisis" may very well begin during the last year of Obama's Administration. An eerie trend n'cest pas? First, the student loan default rates will begin to climb month after month due to excessive interest rates on the loans. Indicators will be from the major banks and lenders servicing students such as: Sallie Mae, Citi Student Loans, Wells Fargo Education Financial Services, Bank of America, and JP Morgan Chase. To name a few. Whereby many colleges and universities will begin climbing on tuition rates nationally across America. The first line of victims will be the for-profit colleges & universities online enterprises followed by their bricks and mortars brethren having their stock market prices plummet. Next the 529 State Plans used as funding sources will deplete ahead of time due to changes in tuition rates in most funding plans. Colleges and University campus will start to trim the low performing baccalaureate programs from their curriculum. Next non-essential staff and unfilled vacancies will be trimmed from the school budget. School Maintenance budgets will also see their planned dollars cut drastically. However that is only triage before the patient of higher learning in American begins to really hemorrhage as a patient. After the for-profit educational entities bite the bullet next comes public state colleges and universities to follow. Satellite campus locations will start to see their hours of operation shortened until they're furloughed completely. Forcing undergraduate and graduate students to commute to the main campus instead. When this damage control ceases to work for campuses then the core undergraduate or graduate programs will be curtailed as offerings. Delaying graduation dates for students that's if the next semester inflated tuition rates doesn't do them in eventually. University and College student body marches and protests will start to be televised on the news wire across the country. Those students fortunate to have parents in America's top 10% as the multi millionaires will go unaffected by all this turmoil. Otherwise non Ivy League endowment giving will start to see a noticeable drop from philanthropists. Value added supply chain corporations that rely on Universities will start to see diminished orders or non-renewals of their contracts. (ie Text Book makers, Sub-contracted labor on campuses, other logistical services) Savvy American students will start to consider International English speaking countries such as: Great Britain, the Caribbean nations, Australia, South Africa, Canada, and New Zealand. As alternative destinations for their higher education scholastic needs. This begs the question if American Universities abroad start to feel the pinch as well in funding of their operations? Will the Student Loan Crisis as a financial lending contagion spread to Europe, Asia, or elsewhere internationally? Certainly niche as smaller traditional woman colleges and those servicing Afro-Americans will also see a harsh impact to their campus with any offered curriculum. We won't know 2014's actual Student Loan numbers until October 2017. By that time is when I foresee this crisis beginning the point of no return. Until that is the Federal government steps in like they did in 2008 with the "Great Recession". Bailing out the banks and other assorted money student loan lenders like "Sallie Mae". Not until another round of a fire sale of some lending institutions brokered by the Federal government in part being sold off before a full bankruptcy. America will only learn years after the fact the ugliness that reared its head just as we're pulling out from our lost decade from 2007. The U.S. government as the chief underwriter may force banks to slash most to all interest rates just to collect the principle loan amounts as payment scheme installments. Since "The Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005" written by special interest groups for legislators that sold out Americans. Whereby all qualified education loans regardless of whether a nonprofit institution was involved in issuing the student loans. Can Not Be Forgiven this includes even Social Security beneficiaries as senior citizens or the disabled getting their government welfare checks garnished. Making it sound more like a form of "Sharia Compliant Finance" operation as conducted by many Muslim nations abroad. It's only a matter of time in my opinion and not a matter of "If" that will whip lash America with our next recession. My money or suspicion is it'll be with the "Student Loan Crisis". Again allow me to reiterate this is my intuition firing off since I personally foresaw the "Great Recession" one full year before it happened. I didn't know squat about the derivative lending global market which led to the housing mortgage crisis. I simply called them "Voo Doo Mortgages" not knowing any better from my own ignorance of the total dynamics at play. Now time will tell in 2 to 3 years time if I was on the mark as X marks the spot. (Generation X'er here) Or if I'm completely an ass talking up my back side regardless of these obvious meta concerns I'm intimidated by in principle by my convictions.

Jewels of Truth Statement: "Perfection Is Purely Spiritual And Excellence Is For Mortals Alone"

Hello All, I'm squeezing in my end of the year blog posts to sync up with my monthly routine for my readers here at "Atrayo's Oracle". Typically two "Jewels of Truth" statements from my recent material and the trio of my older works. With at least one monthly "Gem of Opportunity" of an innovative conceptual design offered up as a solution for society as a whole. That's the format I've been trying to follow for the last year or so here on this blog site. Cross-posting my material here at Google's Blogger to my other incarnations of "Atrayo's Oracle". Be it Tumblr, Beliefnet, Temple Illuminatus, Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, and sometimes Linkedin. I try to cultivate a readership within various sources of social media on the cheap. Thankfully its worked for my web analytic tool highlights readers Internationally. The hits may be modest in the low thousands, however I'm grateful for every sincere set of eyeballs. No matter if this is your first time here or if your a regular reader across any of my several venues. Tonight's "Jewels of Truth" statement is on the topic of Perfection. Which is very apropos due to the holiday craze at least here in some Western and certain Asian Eastern societies. Do remember chasing for perfection for people is a fallacy, much like a dog chasing its tail. Better yet pursue a sincere moderated action of excellence instead. You'll remain closer to sanity and hopefully avoiding the pitfalls of the ego to jump off the cliff's of despair. Enjoy your holidays no matter your religious faith with yourself and your Creator first. Followed rightfully so by your dear family and friends in this life. As the Lady "Suze Orman" likes to state; "People First, then Things and then Money". For all Earthly matters are prone to errors of all varieties and scales of wrong doing. Only excellence can be achieved amongst mortal people in every endeavor as an outlet for a truthful success. Perfection is a spiritual power as a self-directed motion afforded to all from the "Spirit of God" alone. To be perfect one must be pure of heart and of mind in solidarity with the divine in every manifestation. Short of this perfection becomes an ideal to reach for although falling short each time. Life may seem ruled by chaos when observing worldly events. Yet within all sets of dynamics there is a paradox of order at work. Every system from the minuscule to the gigantic observes such a tenacity as a sublime truth. To proclaim only chaos as the only reality is to only speak a half-truth in conjecture. Every witness can only find perfection in the meta whole watching from a comfortable distance. Up close we miss the whole movement and begin to make unconscious assumptions in isolation of the required parts in motion. We miss the entire scale of the order of being often paying only heed to a narrow spectrum of the selective truth we adhere to overall. Judging a thing a flaw when indeed it is excellent is more an error of discernment. When one sabotages the efficiency of the whole mechanism in play. Be mindful of the varied consequences when living your lives in conjunction with others. This will forestall the good you seek and of your neighbors goodness as well. Still do take actions when it is warranted for inaction is the death of many in spirit. Be not afraid to move out of instinct or out of choice when you will surely benefit from such a course of action. Otherwise you may very well become the walking dead as mindless or worse heartless people. Just so you can get by life without any trouble at all. This spells ruin in more ways than I can say of the human condition and of the living soul. Perfection is pure Spirit and excellence is purely secular in nature. Jewels of Truth Statement: "To Love God Is To Unite All Souls As One"

Hello All, This summer season not to be surprised is creating record breaking drought conditions in California. Other portions of this organic world torrential rains are flooding parts of India and there abouts. In spite of this environmental chaos that is constantly afoot in this our mother Earth. We as humanity manage well to other times manage poorly to survive with our dignity intact. We may not be responsible to save the entire world, but we may attempt to save what is within arms reach right before us. Success may not be guaranteed although our virtue is only enabled to grow that much stronger in our next attempt to succeed. Life delivers no promises but one. Whatever is will be expanded into a greater scope of abundance. So please be mindful what you promote by your sheer presence in life. It affects us all, even if it is spiritual in nature. Today's "Jewels of Truth" spiritual wisdom statement is on the topic of a unified Love. Through God(dess) all things come into view when we love without constraints nor conditions. Our vistas may only witness one horizon at a time. Although through God all comes into view simultaneously according to his genuine love of the totality of life. Jewels of Truth Statement: "We Are The Souls Of Yesterday, Born Today"

Hello All, May every being be enjoying "All Souls Day" a Christian holiday in origin, but not limited just to Christians. For every being is a soul in God's Image and Likeness in spiritual form. As the embodiment of the "Holy Spirit" come alive in the flesh of humanity. Albeit the "Holy Spirit" does not restrict itself to humanity alone, but to every creature found therein the Earth and in the stars. So as to celebrate today as "All Souls Day" is to celebrate the ancestors becoming alive through God. Alive not merely in remembrance of our precious shared memories of dearly departed loved ones. But, to remember all souls as our mutual family of a macro of cherished memories become real through us. A simple prayer of gratitude for our elders come around in spirit to be enjoyed once more. For others further devout to the ancestors it is a tradition worth recalling in all that is precious. To remember the good in spite of the bad of mortal living. The rest we surrender to God to be forgotten and to be forgotten for good. Amen. Not as "Either Or", meaning everything is true and false at the very same time metaphysically. It is truly disconcerting to the novice and very comforting as a second nature to the adept. Be they layman or mystic, as sage or fool to the ways of the eternal and the infinite. We are the reincarnated souls as living spiritual beings in every reality be it mortal or as immortal. As Human beings only make up a finite subset of your physical cosmos. Chic as a boutique Creation, but not unheard of in other parts of the known universe. As spiritual entities we are all unformed essence by every comprehension immaculate without flaw. What this means is that God as the chief Creator only makes deities in his own Image and Likeness in spirit itself. It is up to his heirs to make all the rest as Creation itself like children in a sandbox enjoying a playpen. Reincarnation isn't just to learn our ABC's as eternal souls, but to create like God creates as far and wide as we please collectively. Jewels of Truth Statements & Favorite Quotes of the Month

Hello All, It's that period of the month where I share another trio of "Jewels of Truth" spiritual wisdom statements. This month of October's statements is the series of #1054-1056. The topics are on: Vision, Character, and on Faith itself in a very general sense elements of our grace come alive. This October we often celebrate the once pagan holiday of "All Hollow's Eve" as the Autumn Equinox and the Winter Solstice otherwise known in Scottish Gaelic origins as "Samhain". In Western Christianity its respectfully two back to back holidays of "All Souls Day" on October 31st. and "All Saints Day" on November 1st of the year. Our grace is paramount not just on particular events in our pivotal lives, but throughout every waking and sleeping moment in our lifetimes as people. All of this harkens back to a time when the Holy was sought out on purpose. At least to remind us of our sacred origins spiritually as divine beings in union with the Creator God. So as I share today's spiritual wisdom statements try to envision the unity we all share beyond our humble national and cultural origins. Amen. Why will they come to such a place of trust upon those that will lead them onward for the sake of participation? The initial reasons will be myriad in practice and in philosophy to be sure. Mostly its for assurance to alleviate any misgivings if not to improve ones stature with incentives. The overall general direction dictates to a person if not an entire institution its promise to achieve accountable results. Whereby goals become objectives mapped out in order to reach milestones on a near realistic time table. As the desires of the leaders and the results are held in higher esteem than the workers or followers. Each ones passion may be astute as to the errors or down right screw ups when visions are laid down as ill prepared actions. There is never a guarantee when plans meet with unexpected consequences. Only the prepared and the nimble are the ones to excel in spite of dire challenges to be had in results. All communication must always be clear and concise as circumstances dictate. To avoid break downs and plain confusion all down the chain of command. Neglect of this causes misery if not inexcusable investments to be misspent if not lost in do turn. When a vision becomes a failure is when the planning is sub par or incompetent in nature as to the degree of the tasks involved. Any organization that becomes complacent seeking not the best outcome is doomed right outside the gate in the beginning. Seeking only to get by versus to fully succeed sets one up for mediocre results as the status quo is all but assured. This becomes a failure of leadership and thus the doubling of efforts in leveraged outcomes is paired downwards. This will inherently reveal weak spots in the structural guise of shared responsibilities of the duties involved. Where layer after layer of subsequent planning starts to unravel requiring much needed damage control. This is where morale of any the followers will begin to question every iota of required actions be they true or not. Such second guessing delays the spirit of the project much less the accomplishment of the tasks by persons dragging their feet instead. The superficial will give up and the die hard will be left holding the bag with atrocious turn over in labor and subsequent overrun costs of resources. Thus guard yourselves from such complacency at the very onset of every vision making sure you have trusted persons in key positions. To shake out any wrinkles much less disruptive malcontents to the morale of ones outfit. Keep an eye out for those that lack scruples by trumping those in their charge by their lust for greed and/or power by the influence it gives them. Otherwise the aforementioned debacles will flare up without a proper comprehension why its occurring in principle. Seek the promise of a robust vision with a well laid plans in a timely executed methodology. Where your forth coming days will indeed be brighter and prosperous. Character: 1055) The first line of benevolence is courage and the last act of goodness is love. The greatest of these is followed by truth in all her endeavors in principle and in practice. Having strength over oneself and over others is indeed shallow if not filled with a righteous conviction in life. After "Pandora's Box" was opened what came forth spewed onto Creation all manner of disgust and torment. The last defense trapped as perhaps their prisoner was "Hope" herself. If one goes onward into extremes one will undoubtedly come across its other extreme camp on the opposite end. This life is a complete revolving circle perplexing even the gods as to its infinite depths of grace and horror to be experienced. Thus a remarkable faith lived in moderation sets one apart from the extremists spewing hatred and their vile judgements. Otherwise foolishness will seem reasonable albeit it soon becomes apparent that it is truly disastrous in nature. Those that follow fools may not come out of life unscathed by the misery to follow I tell you. Vigilance is the cousin to prudence in being aware of when to listen and when to speak and when to truly act in good faith. Awaken you that hold the chalice of wisdom to your minds and hearts only to pour forth the life of God into you. Yield to humility when practicing your strength lest you harm the intent of your desires. If we indeed are sincere by such a practice of living then our actions will be blessed by being in accord with the "Will of God". Prayer is often the instrument to affect the greatest change within our spirits. Not to mold the ethers alone but to transcend our mortal limitations giving full credence to our shared divinity instead. Practicing a faith without benevolence makes the worshiper hollow even if one disagrees against the theology of another religion out of hand. Judge not a foreigners religion instead educate yourselves in all the holy and beautiful wisdom their sacred texts have discovered. Aside from the differences in dogma, traditions, and cultural celebrations in total. Be curious in fine details in order to empower your sense of becoming inclusive with the presence of God found in another people. God is majestic by orders of magnitude that dwarf our understanding. Be humble instead of persecuting foreigners of a different religion, spiritual practice, or philosophical tradition. Welcome them as your divine siblings in all that is hospitable in loving attitude. Even if you don't embrace their customs out of curiosity alone. Just accept their presence in life as God(dess) has accepted you as his or her own creation unconditionally in true love. Jewels of Truth Statement: "Dare To Dream To Be The Greatest Creators"

Hello All, I'm guilty of being a Dreamer myself although any designer of anything must be worth their salt using the faculty of Imagination. Although imagination in exclusion of everything else is a recipe for disaster. Using imagination one must filter self-awareness into a funnel of possibilities. In order to grow potentialities in the practical world to find a new lease on life. Meaning everything is a launch pad that can inspire a mind filled with idle wishes. These idle wishes become the kindling to cause a spark to turn into a roaring fire that only a designer or creator can bring to life. Integrity and teamwork with other cross disciplines will build character to make ideas real to the touch. Otherwise grand ideas and noble intentions go nowhere or worse are ignored as viable alternatives to solutions. Today's "Jewels of Truth" spiritual wisdom statement is on the topic of Dreamers. Numbered #1808 in the series and written back in late September of this year. It's meant for all the dreamers in the world to dream deeply, but to keep your lives real in the world. Allowing your spirits to reach the heavens but your humanity to stay vibrant in the world. Denial can be a costly mistake when such ignorance hurts or causes harm elsewhere to others. Enjoy as always. --------------------------------------------- Dreamers: 1808) All dreamers are truly creators like God himself whom resides in heaven with their collective dreams. For they have bound them on the Earth for all time and so heaven remembers on their collective behalf. So all you day dream believers be mindful how you dare to dream bold visions of immense grandeur. For the Angels as your brothers and sisters in the "Holy Spirit" will take heed of your prowess to create wonders of all meaningful magnitudes. Listen deeply fellow dreamers to experience the paradox of your best dreams as yourself. Live by a modest creed in a truth that isn't boastful, but actually humble of your strength to create wonders. Do keep your feet on the ground in this shared common world. However dream like the giants you are in God's spirit as far as you can envision by the faculty of your imagination. Temper this contradiction carefully of which I speak of with a benevolent faith in goodness. Wherever it appears around you especially from the most unlikely of places. Even if it appears boring as inane for what looks mundane may be the secret to your success. Only by the "Holy Spirit" can an ordinary observation trigger an "A Ha!" sensation to awaken the divine within us. With a simplicity so delightful that it is called genius by all others awe struck at ones acumen to see the world at large differently. Make your foolish mistakes for this is how you learn from error. Do not ever be defeated by your mistakes or give up before you have fully started. This erodes more than that potential notion it weakens one's character to the point of apathy if left unchecked. Shrug it off, just confess your dreams and your heartaches to your guardian Angels in spirit. For they are your strongest confidants that will always have your back and never abandon you when you are in true need. Invite them into the process of your Imagination for this creates a personal relationship with the divine. Lastly do not go overboard in your keen tendencies try to be calm and thorough with a sincere attitude of cooperation. All good things arrive for those that have the backbone to see them through to completion. Even if the results are different then as intended it will still teach you wonder through character if you keep an open mind and heart. Express all things in moderation especially keeping your egos at bay for no one respects a tyrant or a diva in principal. Be curious of everything but not to the point that you forget about your loved ones for this hurts your relationships that matter. Make a difference but doing so at the expense of others is a bastards short cut to a temporary success. Take the time as it is required and no more for that would invite complacency and procrastination.  Always seek an unconditional love within your inner truth as you find it in the world. Never seek another persons approval or acceptance for permission to be who you truly are in spirit.
