Hello All, Since this "Jewels of Truth" statement is more so a memorial away from my ordinary writings. Please keep in mind I'm a kindred spirit to all souls that maintain a youthful demeanor in spirit. Often the term that is used is that of a Man Child this is one reason why I'm an avid gamer. Aside from all this I wanted to attempt to write posthumously a statement or memorial to "Michael Joseph Jackson". At least in my perspective he was / is a living role model in how to maintain one's youthful spirit forever young. No matter the difficulty that life throws across our path his artistic fervor remained strong for us all to enjoy. 1469) Not all children are fortunate to live the life of merriment in times of youth. Life and work make demands which are so costly that shall not be ignored. It may seem fewer still can achieve renowned artistry and begin to live their lives backward. Enjoying their youth only when fully an adult as deemed by society. Michael Jackson, the "King of Pop" or popular music was one such soul. Innocent with the heart of a child with the outlook of a multi talented genius. He achieved what few dared to dream for themselves alone. He was a man child in spirit, he was seen by others as an eccentric. Nonetheless as his life rose to stardom his child like spirit remained the same. Michael adored "Peter Pan" the fictional character even altering his visage to resemble the Immortal Boy of "Neverland". Those seeking to misunderstand "Michael Jackson" had it easy. Those who adored and loved Michael had it harder in understanding him. Still we loved Michael because he was Michael, not just as a celebrity. He proved many wonders are a reality, even in spite of the heartaches he endured. He loved children as a truly kindred soul should for his spirit was amongst them always. His talents rose higher and higher whilst remaining true to himself and his own ideals. The world shall always misunderstand greatness since so few ever achieve it within a lifetime. Many of his dreams became our own through the vocation of his generous spirit for music and the arts in general. For this our society today, and the one to come born of our children shall be eternally grateful. Jewels of Truth Statement: "A Self-Medicating Popular Culture"

Hello All, In order to make up for some of my missed entries in April due to my family vacation. I'm posting a couple extra entries here in the month of May for your enjoyment. Today's entry was inspired by a most recent personal journal entry of my own in my notebook. Figuring out one of my own mental processes during my diary entry.  I stumbled on a macro parallel that mimics a pattern in our American society. (if not other Western contemporary societies) By means of story telling in our mass media aka Popular Culture be it in films, books, video games, and music. A form of escapism is alright in a playful balanced fashion, but in excess its addictive and destructive to our cultural psyche to say the least. As I enjoy saying without a further adieu may you find "Jewels of Truth" statement #1475 insightful. ------------------------------- 1475) All societies come and go for awhile throughout our combined histories as a people. What stands as mass story telling or popular culture is the stuff of legends. Some story telling is instructive and quite entertaining for those who offer hidden messages for personal growth. Not all stories have a bonafide moral to the tale. So it is with any popular cultural materials that such empty stories offer only entertainment value in themselves alone. Any society that glorifies violence or sexual practices as a popular cultural diversion. Is unconsciously Self-Medicating itself so as to relieve the mass consciousness from the pain of daily living. An escape like no other where if practiced in excess shall only produce a mass neurosis in any culture. The perceived popular escapism comes at a psychological cost if left unchecked and/or not addressed directly. It is never a good thing to gorge oneself on tall tales to the exclusion of all else. As in life there must be a healthy balance in all things. If not excess takes any people into several expressions of destructive addictions. Truth: The only truth we keep from ourselves is the ones that truly matter. The all knowing truth of God or Life itself is open before us. What appears to be hidden or laying in secret is merely waiting for us to rediscover it for our highest good. Such an elegant expression is that of the Divine interwoven into how curious our minds and hearts can be in the search of the truth. Not a truth that is trivial, nor one that can be replaced with another fact. But a truth that is lasting filled with meaning and purpose. That can hold steadfast in the face of conviction and not be lost in the face of liars. The truth can harm if used ruthlessly as a weapon against others. It can also soothe if used in a loving manner by wisdom to heal those that are wounded. How you act upon the truth will be just as important as in speaking the truth before others and not bearing false witness. If your heart is filled with compassion, providence will grant you compassion as you need it abundantly. The secrets or truths of the universe lay before us to rediscover. It is only those with courage that the truth lays in wait for. All others will pass it by none the wiser. Being not concerned for the welfare of others and especially the world at large. Hello All, Today's trio of "Jewels of Truth" statements were written back in late December 2009 and early January 2010. Number #1003 was written before the "Like" phenomena took the world by storm via Facebook. So today's topics are on: Liking, Life, and Children. In the series of #1003-1005. As always may you find them interesting, enjoyable, insightful, if not challenging to your own beliefs and values in life. Thank you. ------------------------------- 1003) When you are liked by someone else in life be it a person, or a dear pet. You have been given a sacred honestly genuine gift from the heart of the giver. One to be either accepted as either a delight or scorned capriciously with disdain. Being "Liked" is a form of early affection, whether it is between acquaintances, friends, and/or potential lovers. How one responds to such a gift of becoming "Liked" is the difference of acceptance or rejection of the kind act, if not otherwise very selfish gesture. It is all based on the intention of the giver. Is it sincere or tied with lengthy strings of ulterior motivations in order to gain favor by means of subterfuge? Acceptance of the affection of being liked is paramount of a start of a potential friendship about to take hold. The quality of such a friendship is dependent on what is invested into it. How fair is the relation or otherwise balanced in enjoying each others company. An outright rejection that dismisses any early offers of becoming liked can be one of several instances. The first is very plain a not interested nor having anything to do with you in any future personal connection. The next instance is the opposite gender wants you to prove your worth with strings attached. In earning their affection socially speaking be it in courtship. Or with either gender out of some heavily negotiated business proposal out of mutual convenience. Thus the gift of the heart by offering acceptance in liking another person surely is a thing of beauty and truthfulness. It is the foundational stone that many later stronger relationships can be built from in all reality. The vanguard emotion to a forthcoming dignity and respect placed on full display for each to partake of earnestly. Always beware of what is genuine appreciation and what is otherwise a selfish tactic of exploitation. By tricking someone's sensibility for another's gain at your expense. Only time will tell which is which in how the relationship feels intuitively and is showcased for all to see by the action of those concerned. ---Ivan Pozo-Illas / Atrayo. 1004)  Life is a struggle for the brave of the heart, mind, and spirit. Not just for the typical person is life a burden at times. It is especially for those with the intent of doing good within their midst. This is not to say that a wrong doer isn't at liberty to do good themselves. However such a choice is harder still for them when it is sincere. Where the easiest way is the best manner for them to live through short cuts. The determined person whether through just means or misdeeds will always find satisfaction in life through perseverance. It is by the degree of their intents that will distinguish them as a person of conviction or as an utter fool. This is where the soul with a sense of wonder will turn a life of struggle into a blessing to behold. By their own creative mindset they shall reveal openings to greater opportunities that all others are blind to recognize in their own common presence. Follow the just leader stirring you within your own sacred soul. There you will find "God(dess)" directing you to even greater glories yet still to be encountered. One must soon realize your children are not just your own as loving parents. They belong to the Earth our great mother and also in the Divine Spirit of our father in Heaven that is God. For this organic planet we call the Earth is a living and breathing organism be it scientifically or spiritually speaking. Our mortal flesh belongs to the essence of our great mother here on this ancient Earth. Yet our souls as we are proper stewards of in origin paradoxically also belongs to God(dess) metaphysically speaking. Be still to know this truth where your parental frustrations and anguish should always be surrendered to God. That is in turn your holy parent in all things divine. Such a surrendering does not omit you from your own earthly responsibilities to yourself and your own children of birth or adoption. Allow such a holy surrender to become a blessing permitting your concerns to become lifted from your heart and mind. So you in turn may have a clear conscience and a mindset in order to receive guidance and support from the "Holy Spirit of God". The consequences of not surrendering your emotional and mental burdens unto the Lord your God. Will cheat you and your children of a vibrant life because you were selfish with your pain, just as you were selfish with your joys in life. Be still and know we all belong to each other because of our relationship with mother Earth. Deeper still know we also belong to each other because God has loved us so for an eternity. For his "Holy Spirit" unites us all as "One". Traveler: Seeing the world fully, especially as a traveler can fill one's soul with the spirit of life. By holding your "Mind and Heart" captive as its prisoner by showcasing the breath of what is possible. Be it through benevolence and hospitality for the fortunate traveler. Such a marvel of witnessing the good graces of humanity and nature herself will leave you with awe in your being. This is all the while being mindful of the inequities surrounding you be it by social or economic standing.
