you'd be stuck to her like glue the whole night, the alcohol only making you more clingy. she'd have you sat on her lap, letting you curl into her side while she talks amongst her friends. you would have a nice buzz going before she cuts you off. she never wanted you to blackout, even though she could protect you, she just knew it was better if you get a bit tipsy.

abby would clock you staring at the side of her face after about five minutes.

“whatcha looking at, baby?”

“you’re just s’pretty. wanna look at you forever.” you slur, dragging your thumb across the scar on her cheek.

“yeah? forever is a long time, y’know. don’t know if you can hold out that long, champ. you tend to get bored.” she gives you a fake frown, you give her a real one in return.

“no, i could! forever and ever.” you argue back, moving further onto her lap, now straddling her.

she notices how glazed over your eyes are, the way you’re blinking slowly. how you can’t stop yourself from giggling. you put your hand over your mouth, hoping she doesn’t notice.

you do your best to calm down, clearing your throat loudly, trying to put on a serious front.

“can we go home now, abs? wanna be in bed and cuddle.”

she sighs, you always wanna go home right after you get slightly buzzed, which leaves her barely any time to talk to her friends.

“can you be a good girl for a little while longer?” you pout at her. “c’mon, it’s been an hour and a half. give me, like, thirty more minutes, yeah? then we can go, and i’ll give you everything you want. okay, sweetheart?”

you nod at her before curling up onto her chest, letting the vibration of her voice keep you entertained.
