Regarding Bailu,,,, I'm so sorry bc ik she's v precious to you and many others but she just sort of exists for me 😭😭😭

I haven't done DH's story quest yet tho and I understand that it goes more in-depth with her and the Vidyadhara there so perhaps I'd have more of an opinion on her once I get around to it (am v slow with doing quests that aren't the main quest lol) (but I also don't have much time irl to spend gaming anyway so that's part of it)

I also don't have her in-game so I really don't know much abt her outside of the little I saw in the Xianzhou main quest and often even if I don't know much abt a character from the story itself, just having them as a playable character often endears me to them

So unfortunately she gets a double disadvantage here 😭

I will say the little I do know abt her is entertaining tho! like her resurrecting from the dead ability which I'm sure is HILARIOUS with characters who want to stay dead (looking at u blade) and in the ghostly event where we had to chase "her" through the maze (esp funny if you're chasing with dhil LOL) so she gets points for being chaotic and hilarious haha

I wasn't planning on playing star rail until I saw him in the Nightmare trailer, and after that I was like that's it, I'm starting the game specifically for him, I can hate everything else abt it but I need that one deranged dude

Surprise surprise, I ended up loving the game itself too and had a ton of fun playing while I waited for his banner (bc I was determined not to pull until he was released) (I won the 50/50 on both him and his lc ^_^)

He pulled me in with his looks/aesthetic/vibe but his lore is definitely what made me stay

Not sure what this says abt me lmao but I am a sucker for tragic characters that have had everything and everyone in their lives ripped away and all that's left is a traumatized shell of their former selves

I relate to his story and character a ton so he's def a comfort character and probably one of my top fictional characters of all time across all my fandoms lol

ik it's probably partly bc of the mara but the fact that blade just goes absolutely insane is so satisfying to me lmao

like the music and that LAUGH in his eng trailer is PEAK

I could probably write an entire essay on him and why I love him sm but it's rlly probably just me projecting lol
