You do realize Holmes describes Watson's mustache as 'modest' in the Adventure of the Red Circle', right? WHAT HAPPENED IT LITERALLY TAKES UP HIS WHOLE FACE

Dear Nonny,

I simply cannot have the modesty of Watson’s moustache questioned in this manner. I have worked with Watson’s moustache for 2 years now, and can honestly say it is the most modest facial hair I have ever had the good fortune to make the acquaintance of.

You see? So modest.

I think we all know who’s really in charge here.
