Do You Really Want To Be With Me?
“Do you really want to be with me?”
Your question rings through Suna’s head.
“It’s going to be really hard…There’s going to be a lot of obstacles and shit to deal with, not to mention the uphill battles.”
“You mean dealing with your family and friends?” He smirked. “I’m not worried about them.”
You snorted, somewhere between derision and sarcasm. “Sure you aren’t–”
“I’m not,” he tried to reassure you but you ignored him.
“I was talking about myself.” You eyed him skeptically. “I’m not well, Suna. The person who’s going to give you the most trouble, who’s going to make a relationship so difficult is me.”
His sharp eyes scrutinized you as he listened.
“I’m not an easy-going person…or easy for most people to get along with, either…And I’m not sure you’re really ready or willing to deal with that…
“With all of me.”
“You say that like I’m a fully functioning human being without flaws,” he replied dryly.
You had trouble meeting his eye. “I’m not saying or implying anything about you, Suna. I’m only telling you that there’s no glamor or glory in being with me. I’m…broken.”
You gave him a fleeting glance. “And I don’t know if I’ll ever work right.”
The conversation replays over and over in his mind. The dull tone of your voice, the way the air around you seemed to dim as you tried to explain what he was getting himself into.
As if you could have prepared him for this.
For being with you.
As if you could have prepared him for years of swinging on an emotional pendulum.
Yes…you had been honest about how hard it would be. How you would give him more trouble and stress than anyone else. Maybe even more than everyone else in his life combined but
you lied.
You lied.
Because while you told him all of this you didn’t tell him everything else.
How you would never try to erase his pain or disappointment but walk through them with him, at his side. That you would love him win or lose off and on the court no matter what, forgiving him when he apologized and laugh together just as often as you cried, if not more.
You lied.
You fucking lied.
You made it seem like loving you was going to be more trouble than it was worth and you were wrong. It was worth every fight, every tear, every moment of struggle outweighed immeasurably by the glow of love and belonging that lit up his life solely because of you. Tied to you so that he could no longer be whole without you. As if he had never been whole before.
You were right that you are your own worst enemy but it makes him your best ally. The person who’ll drown out all the voices of insecurity and self-deprecation inside of you over and over again. Who’ll patiently weather whatever storm rolls through you and hunt you down from the dark depths of your own mind to bring you back to life over and over again.
“Do you really want to be with me?”
Your words echo through his mind like part of you has slipped into him, the ‘broken’ part and, more often than not, it makes him smile.
He likes the idea of taking this negative part of you off your shoulders and locking it away where it can’t hurt you anymore.
“Do you really want to be with me?”
Because no matter how often he hears the question in his mind-
“Do you really want to be with me?”
For Suna,
the answer will always be yes.

Milestones
Dad Satoru x Mom Reader + Their baby son
Summary: just a few times when Satoru was proud of his little son achieving his milestones. I just love the Dad Satoru agenda so I will continue to push it.
Word Count: 1.1k

Gojo Satoru likes to think he has the patience of a saint.
At least that’s what he liked to think until your son was born.
Now, Satoru found himself itching to see his son reach every milestone there is. While at the same time, not wanting the little boy to grow up too fast. You still laughed about the time your son lifted his head for the first time. He was around two and a half months old, sleeping soundly on his daddy's chest when he woke suddenly.
"Oh, good morning honey." You cooed softly, your baby's round and sleepy eyes blinking slowly as he tried to focus in on you. "Dude, that was like a thirty-minute nap, not nearly enough." Satoru hummed, large hand gently gliding up and down your baby's small back.
At the sound of his daddy's voice, your little boy wobbly picked up his head and turned to look up at Satoru. Both of you were frozen in shock, a low gasp leaving your lips as Satoru's eyes doubled in size. "Well, I still think thirty minutes was way too short."
He spoke to your son now, a smile tugging on his lips as your baby slowly set his head down against Satoru's chest again. His large eyes closed once more as he settled back to sleep. Which left you and Satoru in utter shock. "He shouldn't be able to lift his head until around the three-month mark." You whisper, scooting closer to Satoru in bed and resting your head on his shoulder.
"Well, he's our son, he's going to be an overachiever." but what you didn't expect was the clear crack in his voice. "Satoru...are you getting emotional?" You teased him gently, one hand coming to rest on top of where Satoru's hand was on your baby's back. "Maybe a little." he sniffled, head turning to place a kiss on your crown.
"I just... I want him to stay little forever."
"I thought you couldn't wait to see him grow and achieve all his milestones?" you countered, finding it utterly adorable that your husband was getting emotional over his infant son. A little sniffle followed before Satoru could answer. "I-I mean yeah but..." he sighed, the action causing your baby to rise and fall with it.
“… I love him so much.” You didn’t have to look up to hear the evident pout on his lips. You smiled at that, humming in acknowledgment as your baby continued to sleep soundly, unaware of the emotional drama he was putting his daddy through.
Now your baby boy was six months old, making you and Satoru proud as he sat up by himself and attempted to get into a crawling position. "C'mon bub, come see daddy!" Satoru cooed as he lay on his stomach just a few feet away from where your baby was sitting.
You were sitting beside Satoru, smiling brightly as your baby looked between you and Satoru. "He's still an overachiever." You smiled fondly as your baby began to babble, trying to get into a crawling position for a second time. "He sure is." Satoru cooed, tapping the rug below him as if it would summon your son.
"I think his little hands and arms aren't strong enough yet." You laughed a bit as his chunky hands tried to grab the carpet, eager to make his way over to his mommy and daddy. "Don't say that! He's been working out with me!" And by working out, Satoru would use him as a cool down. He'd lay flat on the ground and use your son as a fifteen-pound weight, lifting him up and down with his arms.
"I don't think that counts, Toru." You laughed a bit, scooting forward to aid your baby into the right position. "Alright honey, come get your daddy." You moved back to where you were, watching your son rock back and forth as he tried to figure out how to propel himself forward. "C'mon bub, come see me!" Satoru encouraged as well. Earning a high-pitched giggle in response.
You both spent the next ten minutes animatedly encouraging your six-month-old to take his first steps into the world of crawling. Just as you were both about to give up, he took one tentative step forward. "That's it! C'mon, baby!" You squealed, getting down to lay on your stomach beside Satoru as he, too, started encouraging him again. Much to your delight, your baby moved forward again.
"That's it, just like that bub!" Satoru cooed again, the smile on his face was nearly blinding. Now, without much hesitation, your baby boy crossed the distance and went straight to the both of you. You both cheered loudly, watching as Satoru scooped him up and rolled onto his back, holding him above his head and cheering for him.
You sat up, laughing at your baby's happy squeals as Satoru held him up. "That's my big strong boy!" You smiled as your son turned and looked at you, chubby arms reaching towards you. "Go see mommy." Satoru encouraged as you reached forward and grabbed your baby. You showered him in kisses, laughing as his own laughter turned into squeaky little wheezes.
Satoru watched with a wide grin, pushing himself up into a sitting position to watch you and his son. "You really are his whole world." Satoru's voice was soft, so tender it made you stop everything and look up at him with wide eyes. "What's making you say that, Toru?" You cradled your son, whose eyes were glued to your face as he rested his head on your breast. "Look at him."
You did as Satoru said, smiling brightly at your baby. "I see." You laughed, as you did, so did your son. "You are literally his everything," Satoru said again, heart swelling at the clear love your baby had for you. "You are his whole world, Satoru. Both of us are." Satoru shook his head, "You're right, but you are his mommy, nobody comes before mommy." He chuckled, scooting closer to place a kiss on your baby's forehead. "That's how it should be."
"You get so sentimental at such random times." You laughed as Satoru straightened, placing a kiss on your forehead next. "I have to take a minute to appreciate the life you've given me, is that so wrong?" Satoru teased you, flopping back on the floor as you moved to sit your baby down again. "No, nothing wrong with that, Toru."
"I love you." He spoke softly, smiling at his son when he waved his arms to try and beckon his daddy closer. "I love you too, Toru."

You had ended up pregnant way before Nanami intended. He had wanted to do things "properly" such as date you, propose to you, marry you, and then finally try and start a family.
The universe seemed to have bigger plans in mind, skipping over the proposal and marriage part and jumping right to the baby.
You had been dating Nanami for two years, and the blonde had every intention of proposing to you on your third anniversary this winter. That is... until you woke him up one summer morning with a positive pregnancy test and a worried look on your face.
Things would be a little trickier, but he could mull over those finer details in a month or two. Now, he was focusing on the fact that he would be a father and taking care of you and the baby that was growing in your body. "Are you nervous?"
Your fingers were threaded between Nanami's, leg bouncing idly as you sat in the hard plastic waiting room chair. "No, are you?" He offered you a kind smile, squeezing your hand a little harder when you nodded your head. "I'm excited to see them for the first time but..."
"But you're worried something will be wrong." He concluded for you, it was an understandable thing to worry about. You nodded "So many women come in here excited and leave heartbroken. I just don't want to be one of them." You had expressed this fear to Nanami countless times over the last two weeks since finding out you were pregnant.
"Regardless of the outcome, I'll be with you every step of the way. You have nothing to worry about, my love." He gave you one more reassuring squeeze before a nurse stepped into the waiting room and called your name. The two of you were guided back to one of the exam rooms, one that was equipped with an ultrasound machine.
Nanami watched you carefully as you got up on the table, hands clasped together on your lap as the nurse ran through some of the typical questions. "Both the blood and urine samples you gave us did confirm that you are pregnant! Given the HCG levels, you may be a little further along than you thought. But the ultrasound tech will be in shortly to confirm that for you! Congratulations."
You and Nanami shared a glance after she left the room. "The levels show that I may be further along? Maybe we didn't calculate it right." You had taken the time to sit down and try and pinpoint when this happened, and as far as you were aware, it couldn't have been more than a month ago. Given the fact that you only tested because your period was a week late. "We'll find out soon enough, my love."
You waited for what felt like an eternity, when in reality it was maybe about three minutes before the tech came into the room. She greeted you both, went over some more basic information, and then guided you to lift your shirt and lay back against the exam bed.
You did as she asked, watching curiously as she placed a blue disposable towel around the waistband of your pants so the ultrasound gel wouldn't stain them. "Alright, the gel may be a bit cold so I apologize." You nodded, flashing Nanami a nervous smile before your eyes returned to your abdomen.
The lights were dimmed a moment later so you could both see the screen on the ultrasound. You let out a shaky sigh as the rather cold gel was smeared across your abdomen. You knew your eyes should focus on the screen, but instead, they were focused on Nanami. He had uncrossed his legs and was resting his elbows on his knees, hands clasped tightly in front of them as he studied the screen.
He had been far more nervous than he let on.
You tried to relax a bit, eyes focusing on the screen as the tech began pressing and moving the wand around your abdomen. "Let's see where your baby is hiding out..." The tech smiled, brows creased as she studied the screen. There was a long pause before the tech found them, a small "oh" leaving her lips as she did.
You gasped along with her, eyes wide as saucers as you stared at the screen. "Oh?" Nanami piped up, immediately tense thinking something was wrong. He was seeing the same thing that the tech and you were seeing, but he wasn't understanding why it was surprising... until he studied it a little more. "W-wait..."
"Yeah... you two are seeing that right..." The tech clicked a few buttons, capturing some photos of your babies.
The image on the ultrasound revealed one amniotic sac that had split into two. The babies, however, were still sharing the same placenta.
They were identical twins.
