Day 1: Introduction!

Hello! I am very excited for today as it marks the beginning of @the-wip-project’s 100 Days of Writing Challenge! The goal is simple: talk about your writing every day for 100 days in a row! Today, I am choosing to simply explain in full where I am in my writing process.

I have been working on my current WIP, Paragon, since I was sixteen, but I have never managed to get very far. Right now, I am working on outlining the story, which for me personally, takes the form of storyboarding using sticky notes! I already have a few basic ideas of key moments and scenes in my head, so I am starting by simply writing those down on scraps of paper and ordering them properly. Sort of like putting a puzzle together!!!!

I am probably only about ⅓ of the way done with the “puzzle” and I will continue to update you guys on my progress throughout these next 100 days! I will also be sharing worldbuilding, aesthetics, details about side characters, favorite parts of this WIP, and anything else I think of while working!

If you want to leave questions or suggestions for what I should post, please feel free to send me an ask! I am trying to stay motivated to really get this project done and seeing that people are interested in this story and characters is a real confidence boost!

˝SYNOPSIS˝

Everything is going smoothly for mafia boss Marcus Rossi and his wife Lucia until Marcus' rival Andre Montenegro is at large again. Montenegro's plan to kidnap Lucia and leave her with his wife Violetta backfires as the two women fall in love and decide to run away to Switzerland. As their husbands track them down thinking they're being betrayed the pair has to face many unpredicted difficulties. Will their husbands manage to get revenge or will Lucia and Violetta's love for each other prevail?

Lucia Rossi

- 28 yo - she/her, lesbian - the main character, loves her husband but *platonically*, really soft and sweet, super smart, AnxiousTM, really kind to everyone, sick of the mafia, will not take shit from anyone especially Marcus

Violetta Montenegro

- 30 yo - she/her, lesbian - Lucia's love interest, hates Andre so much, BadassTM, sweet on the inside, a bit mean tho, Fight or FlightTM, but it's always fight, has sexual tension with everyone, better mob boss than Andre

Marcus Rossi

- 30 yo - he/him, bisexual (but very in denial) - Lucia's husband, mob boss, Gotta Be A Man For The PatriarchyTM, actually a himbo, protective, loves Lucia so much, what are morals?, if only he had room for character development

Andre Montenegro

- 40 yo - he/him, so straight it hurts - i hate him, Violetta is his trophy wife, but let's be honest - they hate each other, mob boss, CruelTM, Toxic MasculinityTM, StraighTM, can you see why i hate him?, wants money, gets his as kicked money
