I'm off work for 4 weeks

following an operation, and I've been looking at social media more, as I'm getting bored. It has reminded me how petty people are these days.

For instance, I've just seen a post about a girl crying because her boyfriend bought her a present for their one year anniversary. She was crying because he'd told her it was a watch and she 'didn't want a watch', but it's ok because he actually bought her a necklace. And following this, an onslaught of people condemning her for this, with others condemning them for condemning. And this seems to be taking a lot of time for people.

This people could be outside doing things, enjoying the Autumn air or creating something. But instead they would rather do this.

I realise it's fairly hypocritical for me to be commenting on this on another social media platform. But I had to get this out of my head. Now back to my knitting =)

I miss feeling your eyes on me. I miss going to parties with you, and trying to be quick when I need the bathroom, but you're still restless and bristling by the time I get back. I miss getting random texts with instructions. I miss knowing that if I come home frustrated or struggling or angry that it'll all be gone in a couple of hours because you'll take me so out of my head that I forget everything. I miss being cared for enough that even a slight change in my mannerisms would have you instantly on edge, ready to do whatever was needed to catch me before I fell. I suppose I just miss you.
