“Did you grab the goods?” 

The little black haired eight year old peered down to his sister with wide hopeful eyes. James - Jamie - Barnes was the spitting image of his father. Mischievous, reckless in school and - you suspected - some super serum abilities beginning to develop. Most people have no problem telling who his father is. 

“Isn’t mommy supposed to do that?” Her bright blue eyes shined with a confused gleam in her irises. Her eyes may have been her fathers but everything else was yours. She was only six years old but she was one of the sharpest kids around according to her big brother. Maybe not right now but we all had our flaws.

“Shh, Bex!” A finger went to his lips. “She isn’t supposed to know. And dad can’t know either.”
