A/N: Part 3, woohoo! I have no idea whether anyone is actually enjoying reading this series but I’m really liking writing it so it’s cool haha! Things are starting to move along at a quicker pace for Carl and Y/N now but I still want to make it realistic. I mean you would have your doubts in that world and nothing ever happens over night :) Anyway I hope you like it!

“Alright then!”, Rick began as we were all finishing up with breakfast. Well… if tiny amounts of leftover canned peaches counts as breakfast. 

“We’ve all had a chance to rest and recharge. Let’s pack up and head on out. I wanna get goin’ and find somewhere that can be permanent for us…”, he paused looking down at the ground, then back up, “I know we can find somewhere. We have to”. 

“And we will.” Michonne added, standing up and placing a hand on his shoulder.

It almost feels like an epilogue, tbh. It’s been a long journey and as much as I’m happy with the end, it’s also pretty much bittersweet for me. I can’t express how important it was to read every comment reblog, messages and asks, to see the likes and reblogs, the yelling, the love, the laughs and loving words. There’s been so much love I can’t really deal with that, lol. Seriously, thank you. I hope the ending is satisfying, but I know there’ve been different expectations for this story. You thought about starting your closing routine; shutting off lights, sweeping, balancing the register. It was unlikely that any one would come in. The snow was still falling in heavy sheets. But it felt too much like tempting fate. Better to just wait it out for a few minutes more.
