This is my main blog. I do have a few side blogs for my writing and crafting (and my cat). Originally, this was a sims 2 blog, but now I post about reading and just about anything I’m thinking. I hope you’ll join me! I’m going to try to be more consistent in 2023.

Hi! Answer This Question With Five Things That Make You Happy, And Then Send It To The Last 10 People
Hi! Answer this question with five things that make you happy, and then send it to the last 10 people in your notes! Have a great day/night! :)
Thanks! Five things that make me happy are:
1) Having games work on my computer - not something to take for granted with a Mac
2) Reading a good story
3) When my cat is adorable (so, you know, all the time)
4) Feeling creative
5) Looking in a mug and discovering that you still have hot tea left when you thought it was all gone
Thanks for the tag. I don’t really tag people for this kind of thing, but if anyone wants to do this, go for it. Otherwise, have a cute picture of my Marshall cat being cute. I hope it makes your day happy. :-)

@penig, @katrisims, and @dunne-ias - It is too close to call at the moment, you’re right. I think Jodie is taking it more seriously, but Jason is the one who gets lucky more often. We’ll have to wait and see, I guess.
@didilysims - The rivalry does still frustrate me. (More on that in my behind-the-scenes post that should be up shortly.) It surprises me every time the twins manage to get along. I mean, it’s a nice surprise, but it’s still a surprise. I hope they’ll either grow up and get over things or that one of them will decide to move out once the competition is over. I may make them background characters after their challenge is done. We’ll see how I feel about them when that finally happens.
Thanks so much for the replies, guys! I always enjoy seeing your thoughts and comments!
Meanwhile, Jason was still doing great business at the game shop. He even decided to add in some new merchandise - a couple of RC cars, a lot of game posters, and two arcade machines. (I figured this was fair, even if Jodie didn’t add anything new, because she’s always had a lot more for sale at her place.) He did fairly good business and got his silver restocking badge.
I just need to share this. What is that face, Justin? You’re supposed to be the sane one in your family!
Replies for @didilysims, @katrisims, @penig, and @sweetpea928, because I still can’t do replies the way I used to. (*grumble grumble*)
@didilysims - Goofus is the perfect word for Jason. Jodie can be a goofus sometimes too. She’s certainly not making the best decisions at the moment. (Neither is Jason...)
@katrisims and @penig - I think we’ve seen that Jason doesn’t tend to make the best decisions. We’ll see how this plays out. I think he’s going more on the “this way my sister can’t catch me again” argument than the “Sheila will be a great employee” argument. (Again, goofus.)
@sweetpea928 - Aww, thanks so much! I love playing Bluewater!
I’m not too fond of the Larson twins. I don’t know what it is, but they just don’t excite me. Maybe it’s because they’re in the middle of the round. Maybe they’re just not fun to play with because of the challenge I’ve set myself with them.
Anyways, I did finally get their round finished (thank goodness!) and I’ve got a few extra pictures and some thoughts to share under the cut. Enjoy!
My favorite part of the round was seeing these two random townies smooching at Jodie’s shop. That made my day.
I also liked playing Jodie’s wild night out, although it was not nearly as wild as I’d hoped. It was about as wild as Jodie was going to get though. She strikes me as a very reserved sim, which actually threw a wrench into some of the plans I had for her.
My initial plan for Jodie was for her to become determined to go after Malcolm Landgraab, now that he is “available”. In my head, she was originally the one who wrote the “now no one can have him” letter to the editor. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately for Jodie and Malcolm), when I started playing Jodie again, I couldn’t picture her that way. She’s too down to earth to act like that, and while I’m sure she read the article about Malcolm (everyone in town did), she’s not really inclined to gossip or throw herself at men.
The exception to that is, of course, John Whitaker the downtownie. In Jodie’s defense, she was pretty drunk when she threw herself at him. Even so, he liked her well enough to go out with her when she was sober and she likes him better than Pierce.
That is completely fine with me, because it appears that this Pierce is a bit of a snob.
Honestly, Jason was kind of boring this round. He’s got a good handle on his business, he’s got a steady girlfriend, and the most exciting thing he did this round was make out with her in their underwear on the couch and scar his sister for life.
I’m trying not to play favorites with these two, but I think I focused a bit more on Jodie this time. She was just more interesting.
Anyways, that’s pretty much all I’ve got for the Larsons. Here’s to not having to play them again until Round 3!
