OH OH YOU REMINDED ME OF SOMETHING I THINK I THINK UI IS LIKE A MIX OF CRINGEFAIL AND MENACE??!?! like she's really nosy and hyper and very damn mischievous but they also miss their ancients and hold themselves up to REALLY high standards that she simply cannot achieve and it frustrates her to hell (or shall we say rubicon?) and back when even the most simplest of simulations or calculations fails!!!!! like to the point where they have pulled on a wire out of frustration a bit too hard and basically tore it and realized what they had done and just stood there in her chamber like ":(" holding the torn wire 😭😭😭😭😭 it got fixed dw! but they had quite a habit of doing that out of frustration. however they do get help from GW in this au as well, sometime around/between post-rot and pre-rot if i remember correctly????? haven't written out much of this au as it is still a heavy wip idk if this needs a content warning?? is it too dark or is it fine??? :0 so here is a bit of angst!!!!! do keep in mind that due to this au being a wip, the heavy angsty moments might change a few times !!!!!!!

hmmmm mainly with the part of what happens next after UI gets the rot! like what will they do?? :0 will they try to hide away like pebbles did in cannon? will they try to do something about it (and make it worse)? will they ask for guidance ???

idea: they do somewhat what they do in canon, but instead of being a batch they just start panicking in the global chats and all the gossip about it has the exact effect on them thar it had on pebbles

or alternate: pebbles ditches on her in the group chats instead. complete role reversal!

oooooo!!!! hmmm for the first one !!! oh i like the first one!!!! i will most likely use that idea or something similar!!! (rewrite it just a tiny bit to fit into the au, like just explain what happened prior and how it happened, it won't get changed too much if it is even changed at all!) perhaps UI attempts to ask for guidance but due to their panicked state they aren't exactly too rational at the moment and they're just an aheem heem whimper of a mess !!! although how would the information get spread around as a rumor in the first place? would UI themselves be responsible for accidentally spreading it? or did someone else spread the information of UI getting the rot? and if so then how would that happen? :0 as for the second idea, pebbles and UI are on somewhat good terms (although UI does annoy the hell outa pebbles), so something would have to happen for pebbles to act like this (especially since i am mainly keeping his character unchanged and very close to how cannon pebbles acts, so not sure if it will be too in character!) AAAA seriously thank you for the ideas tho!!!!!

long ahh RC au post

Alrighty so attempting to write an outline for RC au now, hopefully it doesn’t sound too sleeby deeby cringefail *note: this is the general outline, it doesn’t include any small misc lore details, however misc small lore details will be provided if i am asked about it/ will be necessary for later contextualization of other lore. intro/general notes: -so this au basically started as a question of “what if UI got the rot instead of pebbles” -i am mainly focusing on UI and GW (and trying to come up with lore for these sillies), the rest of the iterators will mainly not change much and will stick to the cannon pre-SpearMaster campaign lore (basically keep the triple affirmative events and related characters mainly the same as cannon, this includes the local group too as to some extent they are involved with trying to research what happened to SoS and how she ascended) -as mentioned in previous note; this au takes place before SpearMaster’s campaign. -a lot of this au is me trying to make lore for UI (and GW too, but mainly UI), so i am not exactly sure if it is close to the tiny hint of cannon lore we see for UI, however if there will be more updates about UI’s cannon lore, then i will rewrite some parts of this au. -also misc note that i do not know where to put anywhere else. I guess in the beginning of the au’s storyline, UI is on good terms with the local group, however does really annoy their local group sometimes. -oh!!! The triple affirmative had JUST been broadcasted, only about 100-500 cycles ago! (also misc note that i do not know where to put)

storyline: -So this kind of begins with UI trying to find something to do, they’re VERY bored, especially now that everyone has basically abandoned all work to go theorize about SoS’s triple affirmative. Honestly they’re not too interested in the triple affirmative themselves, however they do like to find ‘so bad its funny’ theories, best place to go for these is anti-sliverist groups. -Basically off they went being a nosy little prick, saw two iterators exchanging a theory document, secretly intercepted the exchange to check what this document had. Honestly it wasn’t so bad its funny, but it also wasn’t good either. They just went back to work. -Well guess who realized that they had lost access to A THIRD OF THEIR SYSTEMS (of course it was UI smh shouldn’t have been nosy!), after more inspecting they realize it is malware, not the harmful type but probably annoying to deal with. -And annoying to deal with. They had tried multiple ways to get rid of the malware but none of them worked, they resorted to attempting to rewrite the genomes of their neurons to forcefully kick the malware out of their systems, this is a pretty risky way of getting rid of malware (especially since rewriting or editing genomes is taboo, so you’d have to find a way to bypass the restriction in the code to be able to do this. One wrong move and you’re probably not gonna be doing so good) -Did they get rid of the malware? Yes! Did they also create another new problem for themselves? Also yes! They created the rot :( -They panic for a bit, try to get the rot off but fail miserably. Around this time GW gets rather concerned for UI and tries to ask them if they’re doing alright, however get no answer back. Some others from the local group also try to see what happened to UI, pebbles being their closest neighbor tries to send his overseers to their can after also trying to contact them and failing. He didn’t think it was this bad at first, sometimes UI just pulled silly pranks on the group so he assumed this was another prank gone wrong, however he discovers that they have the rot after sending overseers to their can. He is met with the option of keeping quiet about it (probably what he would’ve wanted too if he was in their situation), or tell the local group to at least get them to stop being so worried (little does he know if he tells the local group the panic will only get worse). -Well uhm!!!! THIS IS REALLY NOT GOOD FOR UI!!!!! THEY HAVE NOTICED PEBBLES’ OVERSEER AT THEIR CAN, AND DESPITE DESTROYING IT, IT DOESN’T ERASE THE FACT THAT HE NOW KNOWS ABOUT THIS TOO. they frantically contact him, asking him not to share this with the rest of the local group so as to not get them even more worried. Pebbles agrees to keeping quiet AS LONG as it doesn’t get worse, however if it does get worse then he will have to do something to help them (as much as they both dislike this. UI doesn’t want the local group knowing (especially GW) about their condition, and pebbles doesn’t wish to put up with UI’s shenanigans since they can get real annoying sometimes) -So far this is where the story leaves off, i will be giving updates about this au once i come up with more lore! So so sorry if this is hard to read or written badly, it is almost midnight! Do please tell me if I made some mistakes here so I can go back and fix them!

What if both UI and pebbles got the rot

oooooo!!!! interesting ask! hmmmm depends ! they may grow closer as friends due to the similar challenge (however this friendship would be rather strained i think? especially if one of them cures their rot and doesn't tell the other one how to cure their own rot?!) or they'd argue a lot!!! maybe even have their current friendly rivalry turn into a more bitter and angry rivalry ? however i do see them bonding over their experiences with rot rather than arguing about it tbh!

*not ask, but very very interesting reblog! oooo!!!! i believe that is what m i g h t happen!!! so far pebbles knows of UI's rot! (i wrote a whole lore page a day or two ago i think? i do not know how to link stuff on tumblr however you will most likely see it if you scroll down a little bit!! i think its titled "long ahh RC au post" if i remember correctly?), however hasn't photographed their rot yet! now i haven't finished writing the lore, but if pebbles were to photograph UI's rot that would be interesting!!! maybe as an attempt to get a better look at it to see how he could help??? (since he *VERY RELUCTANTLY* agreed to keep quiet after he found out UI has the rot, and even more reluctantly agreed to help if UI would stop panicking over the rot and worrying everyone else by ignoring all of the messages they have received) not sure what the outcome of this would be tho!! i mean like, we could go multiple ways in the story: pebbles revealing that UI has the rot (either accidentally or snitched on UI on purpose?) or maybe someone else finds out or even another idea i'll probably get later? not sure!!! also do please tell me if i misunderstood this!!! because if i did misunderstand this then so sorry!!!

nahhh they even spread gossip about it too as seen in one broadcast!!! they're a MENACE!!! my favorite menace! i wish there was more lore about them tbh, i wonder why they did that? are they just mean to everyone? or did they have beef with pebbles in particular?

If you’d like an idea for Chasing Wind in Eclipse, I’d recommend Saturn or Jupiter!

As gas giants with lots of windy storms on their surface, so I think they’d tie in well with Chasing Wind’s themes. Plus, they’re a little more distant from the Earth, Sun, and Moon, kinda like how Chasing Wind is pretty distant from the drama going on between the three XD

For Saturn, you could do some fun stuff with the iconic rings, while Jupiter could give you an iterator to rival the size of Annular Suns (given Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system), and you could also incorporate Jupiter’s Great Red Spot or it’s many moons into the design.

Just some ideas ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ awesome au and art by the way!!! Love keeping up with your stuff teehee :3

Let’s see… let’s go with Jupiter!

My main reasoning is not only do we have another tall Iterator lol but Jupiter is associated with the god of the sky! Sky also=birds, and I heavily associate GW with birds so it’s perfect!

Now to the art:

The bird features I’ve shown with the feather collar and sleeves. For the Jupiter features I added reds, grays, and tans.

For the red dot, I went with the (experiment gone wrong) thing and they ended up with a red scar afterwards.

I wouldn’t think Wind is all that built body type wise like Sig and Suns, so the cloak kinda helps with that. Kinda like gentle giant vibes if that makes since.

It makes them look intimidating but in actuality they are a literal grandma XD

Speaking of that, have a bonus doodle!

Here's my UI design! If you wanna draw her, I have no issues with that!

IMO, she's probably the second youngest of the group, being the same gen (Gen 4) as Five Pebbles. I also imagine her as a bit of a... Not so innocent gal (She is very aggressive, and kinda violent.)

If this does well, then expect more from me soon! Anyways, seeya later *Fades away*

i also have some things 2 say about her. i feel like her and pebbles also have a sibling dynamic except its more rivalry and they compete with eachother and were on okay terms until The Thing:tm: happened

i also had wind be their closest friend and its funny because i see wind as goth and innocence being alot more bright and wearing many pastel colors(refer to other drawings with their cloak).

they could also be friends with no significant harassment maybe do you think they would do A Little Trolling together. as friends
