Twilight Zone - Tumblr Posts
Cheesus Keerist, this just reminds me too much of The Twilight Zone.
Right-wing America spent four years of Donald Trump’s presidency in “The Monsters are Due on Maple Street”, and now the same folks are going “The Old Man in the Cave” on us.
I don't ever want to hear about the fucking "War On Christmas" or any kind of BS about how anyone who celebrates Christmas isn't absolutely catered to every day of their damn winter lives no matter what is going on. Fuck y'all, seriously, and fuck Christmas too.
didn’t this happen in a twilight zone episode?
You are an astronaut tasked with recovering a body found by a lunar rover on the far side of the moon. The speculation back home is that this body will be Earth’s first contact with an alien. Upon closer inspection, it looks just like you.
I made a film about that one penis explosion chamber shitpost. Hope you enjoy xoxo.
Always thought a fun horror piece would be a twilight-zone style narrated horror series where the Rod Serling figure is both diegetic and also very clearly trying to help out the protagonists without getting caught; raising his voice at an opportune moment to distract the characters from something dangerous to look at, taking plot critical documents out of a desk and putting them in plain view in the background of shots, moving around an office during the opening Serling Speil unlocking all the doors and windows, and in the climax the protagonists are able to crawl out a previously locked window. In the final episode the freak of the week notices he’s there, goes, “oh, this asshole again,” and abandons their pursuit of the nominal protagonist in order to kill the narrator who (and this is crucial) spends the whole chase sequence moving at the exact same measured pace, speaking in the exact same measured, overprepared monologue, as the antagonist blunders into carefully-prepared environmental hazard after environmental hazard. This is the narrator’s house. You’re visiting, but he lives here, and now he’s decided that he’s the story he’s narrating is Home Alone.
i watched the von dutch video and saw myself in the reflection
Imagine, if you will, a world without porn bots. No new follows crowd your notifications with stock images of half naked valley girls and beach photos that make you wonder if they've been stolen from Facebook, or half-assed attempts to hide illicit links in bios. Your inbox is serene and blissfully clean and you've no idea what a porn bot even is.
But one day, you receive a fresh notification. Strange, it's not one of your mutuals. You're not being tagged in anything.
And then you see it. The profile pic is a photograph you took of yourself at a bachelor party, wearing your favorite two-piece. The tag is your own full legal name. The blog has a link you do not recognize.
What do you do? Do you follow the link? Do you block the impostor?
Such questions may seem outlandish to a denizen of our real world, but they're all but commonplace in
The Twilight Zone
you go to block a porn bot and it has a picture of you as its icon
Shit.
I thought that Twilight Zone commercial was for Stranger Things at first.
I'm terrible at reviews but I literally just finished watching this and it was amazing as I'd hoped it'd be. Robert Duvall plays Charley Parkes, a socially awkward introvert in his 30s who still lives at home with his overbearing Mother who treats him like a child. He's a regular visitor to the local museum where he becomes obsessed with a dolls house and falls in love with the lone wooden occupant, whom he's convinced is not a mere doll but real.
I don't want to say too much and spoil it but this has to be one of the earliest shows that I've seen deal with the subject of autism. It's never mentioned but Charley is clearly autistic and Robert Duvall plays the lonely outcast perfectly His acting was incredible and he clearly puts so much thought into every movement, every word and expression. His posture alone tells us so much about this sensitive and anxious man who himself is treated like a doll to be manipulated at will by his well-meaning but ultimately harmful family members.
This was a heartbreaking and difficult watch but it has its fun and charming moments too and worth seeing alone for an early depiction of someone with autism. The psychiatrist's words regarding Charley's condition, if not his attitude, seem rather forward thinking for the time.
It's definitely worth watching Even if you aren't normally a fan of The Twilight Zone.

My house was haunted by Rod Serling, but he just narrated my day to day as if my life was a TZ episode.
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Haunted Mansion at Disneyland
To commemorate Rod Serling and some of the many iconic episodes of "The Twilight Zone". It wouldn't be the 4th of July without the "Twilight Zone" marathon on the SyFy channel. Happy 4th everyone!
