Tintin - Tumblr Posts - Page 3
I remember discussing Tintin casting choices with a friend from Germany and remarked how it was odd he often has an English accent in adaptations rather than a Belgian one, and my friend just replied "that's because Tintin gives incredibly strong English boy energy (derogatory)"
Here in the UK there's a lot of weird classism tied into accents. Today accent diversity and representation in broadcasting is actively pursued but in Tintin's time there certainly was a preferred accent to have.
imagine this exchange happens between pages 28-29 in The Crab with the Golden Claws
It's been only half a year and my custom Tintin doll has been through so much! @tenderlyhands and I have been taking him travelling, and last week they've taken him to Athens!
He's acquired some friends - Haddock is a Made to Move Ken and Chang is a slim Ken Fashionista with joints stolen from a bootleg doll. Haddock and Chang are also traveling - Haddock is currently in Japan and Chang is currently in Romania.
He's even gotten plenty of new outfits. So far I've made his Scottish outfit from The Black Island and his yellow shirt he wears in the earlier comics. A friend from work wants to take him diving - perhaps his diving suit would be a good thing to make next...
If you want to follow along on his adventures check out my Instagram @professorcalculusstanacc - I post more doll content there while keeping my blog more for comics and longer form stuff!
as newspapers today dont tend to hire children, a modern day Tintin would run a clickbait YouTube channel, except the clickbait is 100% real every single time
he starts off as an irritating conservative pundit at 14, meets Chang then leaves the think tank paying him and launches his own independent channel and blows up shortly after. Chang helps with video editing and managing his socials and they often chat on video calls between adventures. Haddock, his foster dad, has absolutely no knowledge of his earlier videos.

book to movie adaptations generally suck, but reblog with ur exception in the tags
this a purely subjective poll based on my own tastes and opinions. i also didn't include movies that were originally swept under the rug, but have since become widely beloved like Treasure Planet or Megamind
I'm onto something I'm telling you
Wow I finally made something Tintin related and it was this…
I actually can’t remember how many times he was seen actually writing an article…
I accidentally deleted this and I’m not living it down
Apologies if the bright blue and green hurts your eyes it’s my go to colour when doodling/studying
Thank you to @anabanana-romanova for suggesting a few of these I’m sorry I couldn’t do them all I didn’t realise how much I’d actually filled the page!
The green Tintin ballon is inspired by my very own balloon that I nicked 4 weeks ago and drew Tintin’s face on
Kind of them I suppose?
