Thumbnails - Tumblr Posts

That feeling when you absolutely overdo your thumbnails, but land the moment...

Really feeling these thumbnails right now...

Magic. As secret as the heart's fondest desire. As subtle as the whisper of a serpent.

Nobody ever mentioned that part in thumbnailing comics where you edit the script and have to revise your sketches to reflect additional characters/dialogue while maintaining your original page counts/spreads.

Comics will break your sense of continuity, kid.

For a rough thumbnail this turned out rather well I think...

First Kill (No one will remember you!)

Taking time this month [a.k.a. doing a challenge with a friend] to learn how to use solid black effectively. My goals: 1) Produce 2 "finished" pieces a week, and 2) post progress updates daily. So every day I'll post a bit of progress, and hopefully by the end of October I'll have 8 finished pieces and a better understanding of black and white! Happy Inking!!

So Noodle post of the day will be the wip images from my last post and some more storyboard sneakpeak work I've done recently! The storyboard is almost finished and the thumbnails are done, can't wait to get into the final drawings and editing.

Halloween month is also breast cancer awareness month. I drew these for a class once but I can’t explain the lungs. I think I was reading a book with something similar to that on the cover
